Love this. I have been filming sports professionally for 23 years. Football, soccer , and rugby . Have filmed over 5000 sports matches professionally. I have never posted any to social . I have 1000’s of matches in video archives. Great plays recorded. I will take the advice of the NBA photographer to post such action shots taken. I had great angles on my action shots with no obstruction to cause blurringness. I have had the honor to work with referees in soccer and rugby which has helped me capture great action because I know the rules or laws and can set the angles when something in action is about to happen
Link spit bars when saying that stealing isnt a crime. Thats something that always bugs me, that i think im stealing someone elses work when i model my work after them, but he’s right, its all inspiration and its all on the table!
Love your vids, I’m new to the camera game and appreciate how well you speak and the tone. Just remember when you are putting stuff out for beginners, what is basic to you is advanced for some like me. Some of us need baby steps to understand this stuff and you should be that guy because you speak slowly and clearly.
The last guy really encouraged me I would love to. Become a videographer/photographer for a pro player so to hear you guys got to that level by social media is encouraging!!!
Love this video E. Your stuff is always so helpful & inspiring. My 3 biggest takeaways were, know your sport, find the action no one else is seeing, create what you're passionate about. So many great tips. I don't cover any of these sports but all of your content including this is applicable across the board. Thanks Mate.
Your story spoke to me the most bro, you def inspired me in a different way. Do you mind me asking what set up started w or recommend starting w? I’m glad I came across this video today
@@ajenaepdf went into debt to buy the sony a73 and rocked with it on the biggest shoots of my life. Gear does and doesnt matter. It all just depends on whose hands its in.
Really glad I found you channel. I'm a beginner and I have learned a lot from you. Mine is a bit different I just film my sons games for families who cant make the games, so he can rewatch game tape and hopefully use for recruitment videos in the future. Thank you for what you do. I am still trying to get better with the time I have.
I like Peter as much as much as you do, probably even more. I featured him on my channel multiple times. But we all use b-roll in our videos, that’s pretty basic stuff. I couldn’t do it in this case because I asked 4 professional sports videographers to be a part of it and I couldn’t use their NBA/NFL/NHL/MLB footage for copyright reasons and because they are not allowed to just give that footage to anyone. But if you go through my channel you’ll see that most of my videos are full of b-roll footage from sporting events that I film.

Would an A7rii be a good budget option for sports videography ?? I want to upgrade to a better autofocus but the a7iii is a little out of my price range?
That’s a really good zoom range but so much range in the one lens usually comes at the expense of other features. Check out this video where I explain this in greater detail ua-cam.com/video/omGdWeu0LLg/v-deo.html

Post your work. I have so many things from the last 10 years that never saw the light😅
Thanks E - such a brilliant video!!!

Any thoughts on the Sigma 60-600mm Zoom lens?
Ive never used it personally but I hear great things.

I don’t know that camera particularly well to be honest but any camera you can afford is good enough for your needs.
great content
Thank you 😊
