Dr. Damon, I so appreciate your knowledge & understanding the clear break down of the Godhead in light of the explanation of the biblical doctrine of Trinity. Note: I challenge you on one point or should I say, I correct you in regard to the word "Omnipotent." I agree that the word Trinity, omnipresent & Omniscient isn't specifically mentioned in the Scriptures, but the concept is very clear in the Scriptures. But the word "Omnipotent" is in the scriptures. Revelation 19:6 says, "....for the Lord our God omnipotent reigns." Note: This is your brother in Christ....Ambassador (from Clubhouse). Can I get that $100.00? Closing note: Thank you for taking time out to teach wholesome doctrine which is according to godliness
The word omnipotent is an English translation unknown to readers of Scripture for well over a 1500 years, so no, the word isn’t biblical although the concept is.
It would be no differently than someone translating the verb ephanerōthe in 1 Tim. 3:16 or manifested as incarnated, a word not used anywhere in Scripture although that’s exactly what Paul was referring to. See my point? The word Incarnation is a much later term with biblical meaning and conceptualization but the word itself isn’t found anywhere in Scripture.
I need my $100, Brother Damon. Note: I am going to put my Martial Art uniform on and I'm coming to collect my $100. All in fun and laughter, my Brotha. God bless you and may your teaching ministry abound more and more to and for the glorification of our Lord Jesus Christ. Just to let you know....Jesus paid your debt in full. So you are off the hook.
#damonrichardson @damonrichardson Interesting study. Lots to ponder at my end. You did show where the son is referred to as God but I can't recall seeing where you proved that the Holy Spirit is referred to as God. You also said that the "doctrine of the trinity" is NOT in the scriptures but the "revelation of the trinity" is. My question therefore is this; seeing that the doctrine in not in the bible why do you claim that if people do not accept this doctrine then they cannot be saved. Unfortunately I am not convinced by any scriptures thst this is true. Paul said " if we confess with our mouths THE LORD JESUS and believe in our hearts that GOD had raised him from the dead, WE SHALL BE SAVED. There is absolutely nothing in scriptures that link salvation to belief in the trinity.
A classic example of proof texting is reading current events into the ancient text. Covid 19 was seen as the mark of the beast as some teachers tried to read this current event into the passages. The same is true for the doctrine of the trinity. This a relatively new invention. The original authors of scripture who spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost knew nothing of it. If they did they would have mentioned it at least once. What Demon is trying to do is force this unbiblical doctrine into the ancient text. This is not gonna fool people who are truly born from above and have the same Spirit that authored Holy scriptures. This is not scholarly. This is pure falsehood. Either Demon and his host have gone the way of balaam and have apostosized away from God. Or they never experienced biblical salvation in the first place. Run from these men..
It is very clear that the doctrine of the Triune nature of God (Doctrine of the Trinity) is clearly a sound biblical concept. The Oneness of the Trinity is a mystery, but yet it is clearly biblical. The biblical authors clearly knew that there was a unique relationship between the heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit of Truth. Note: I don't know if you made a typo of Bro. Damon's name. In the 7th & 11th You typed the word/term "Demon" instead of "Damon." Damon is not a "Demon." He is a true and faithful brother IN CHRIST. You made statements and comments about Bro Damon's teaching on "The Godhead explained" (Part 2), but you never proved him wrong. Question: 1. Can you present any texts of scripture that can disprove Bro. Damon's sound biblical position on the biblical concept of the Trinity? 2. Are you willing to have an open debate with Dr. Damon Richardson in regard to what he presented in this video footage? 3. Can you prove that Bro. Damon has gone in the way of Balaam and have apostasized away from God? Note: Your statement about Bro. Damon h having gone in the way of Balaam and has apostasized away from God is an allegation/accusation that you need to avoid. Do you know what is meant by "The way of Balaam"? Closing note: I pray and hope that you eyes are opened to the glorious light of the biblical concept of the Trinity.
This entire paragraph is is full of several of the fallacies that I named in the beginning of the video. Making false claims and attacking the person rather than the argument is not a defense, its evidence of cowardice and the incompetence! Thank you for proving my point! This is how Oneness people behave when they are confronted with biblical teaching that exposes their heresies.
You are trying to disprove proof texting by employing proof text method of biblical interpretation. Moses for example, who interacted with God face to face had no such concept of God. If the trinity is the nature of God as you claim then Moses and the prophets would have described him as such. The concept of Trinity was invented in AD 325 at the council of Nicaea. You can accept if you want but you won’t be allowed to imposed upon the ancient text written long before. Again reading modern events in the ancient text is classic proof texting. Try applying exegetical tools instead and let the original authors speak. Consider the all elements of the context including the textual and linguistic. To do that do you need more than just a casual knowledge of Biblical Hebrew and koine Greek both of which are no longer spoken. What I am saying to you is if you want to be a good Bible teacher yiu may need to attend a proper PhD program and spend the next 5-7 years immersed in serious research. I recommend Andrew’s Universal. This noble institution has a deep tradition in scholarly biblical research. Your attempt at scholarship is commendable but for those who know; we know that you have a lot of work to do. You attempts of disproving Oneness Pentecostalism is short sighted. Try to develop a broader reason for biblical scholarship. You may be able to convince some people who themselves were not convinced of the absolute oneness of God but your arguments here won’t shake the most of us. Let your next attempt be with the use of exegetical tools. Abandon this proof text method all together.
Excellent presentation. Amen!
