@@tangerinelemonn haha me too!
is this his morning routine? just imagine, it only takes him 19 minutes to write a song, and he practice at least 5 hours a day!
Đăng Hoàng Nguyễn yeah, i’d call it a day by the time he played that G#min7 on the 16th fret. just thru pushing yourself like that everyday is how you get to be a good guitarist.
5 hours a day hasn't gotten me this good...
@@Hammy712 keep practicing sir, I know a guy who is the same age as me, he practices 5 hours a day, for 2 years, and now he is freaking good, he also has a channel where he does anime theme covers
I've written a song in five minutes or less. I've written songs that took years. It's not that impressive, their brain just is wired for that.
But its still not 40 hours a day

Besides the memes, the tutorial is really cool. It teaches you how to create a relaxing ichika-style melody but it doesn't give you straight "answers", just musical propositions and tips. And with that, you can create something way more personal while still playing that cool melodic-progressive ichika groove we all know and love. I might try it myself, thanks nito!

I’d like to think that, when I’m having a bad day, ichika is labbing out a new song like this, just practicing away, and it brings a sliver of joy into my day
i like that
really puts into perspective how much time and patience really goes into making a piece of music. a lot of people are under the assumption that these youtube/instagram guitarists just come up with these out of thin air when in reality its much different
"time and effort" bro its 20 minutes lmfao. i dont think these require much effort for him
20 minutes is insane but still the result of years of practice, you can see he clearly knows theory forwards and backwards which allows him to create songs quickly. The only part he really spends time on is playing it clean
Katya B does he know theory? alot of players just memorize shapes and positions . i dont know much of any theory but i can pick up a guitar and intuitively know go here there and there and itll sound right
Matthew Davies im not saying music theory is something difficult or impossible to know, but alot of ppl choose not to invest time with it when you can just play notes till it sounds cool. do you have any reason for being so sure or just wanting to sound authoritarian online for clout tokens
Good Shepherd Also, there’s a lot more to music theory than how it sounds. He often uses odd time signatures, tempo and key changes, and some weird playing techniques that you’d usually see on a piano. He also writes his own tabs which you can purchase, so it’s very clear that he’s well versed in music theory
00:01 and it’s already stunning
Ichika practicing makes me feel self conscious about my practicing
Comparison is the thief of joy. Go at your own pace and enjoy the ride.
Glass Fox I come from the most appreciative background when I say that, I just admire his talent and work ethic!

Discovering Ichika is both a blessing and a curse 😭
@@_caustics_ Sorry for replying after THREE years, but this was the kind of advice I've been looking for. Thank you.
I'd love to see Ichika start streaming his regular guitar practice sessions. Even if it's just him doing drills and daily routines, I like seeing these behind the scenes videos just as much as the finished songs.

Can we all just appreciate that ichika is hooking us up with his creative process and that we get to watch a master in the works for free.
This is like watching a magician practice his tricks before a show 🎩
I love these kind of videos! They're so bare-boned, vulnerable and straight forward. It shows how much work there goes into each video and that even the pros, who might seem perfect at first glance, also need practice and make tons of mistakes. I think it's really important to showcase this stuff in this weird social media age we're currently in. Exposing your "flaws" and busting the whole "perfect image" ideal is the best way to remind people online that you are still just a human. We are going to be learning new things about ourselves and other people throughout our entire lives and mistakes are therefore inevitable. Sorry for the semi-philosphical rant lol. Props to Ichika for this wonderful video! One of my favorite guitarists ever. Good day!

The Community: “WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED”
12:37 his eyes look so mad lmao
Why are you the only one talking about that??? ;--;
The beauty of spending so many hours practicing is that you have instant endless resources to answer every question your fingers are proposing. He tries, listens, thinks, feels if it works and responds back to himself all the time until he gets it. He doesn't get stuck on any step of that loop. I'm amazed. It's really inspiring.
seeing Ichika need time to practice is really giving me hope and motivation to continue my life.
This man looks like he'd give good hugs
Just because of watching a minute and thirty seconds I learned I have way more potential that I never knew about. Thank you
The real ''work'' is the practice, the actual performance is sheer enjoyment.
While the musical ideas he comes with on the fly are amazing, what's even more impressive is his ability to remember all of these parts while coming up with them! If I fool around for more than 5-6 bars I forget what I played in the beginning, lol
This guy can make 72 songs in one day
"How to" Few words because they cannot ever fully express the volume of information he is processing at any given time while creating his masterpieces.
Love how you can just hear the influence japanese music had on him
what i learn in this video is that even the pro guitarist practices a lot. its not a one day trip to be this good. it takes time and also sweat to really reach this kind of level. it not instant. he achieve this level of playing by practicing a lot. in inspires me to practice more, thank you
As a guitar player myself it’s amazing what this man can create in just 20 minutes
Seeing ichika fumbling his way around reminds me that he’s just a human who practices very hard, which inspires me wanna practice hard to ❤️
now you can see the real job of composing a song 19 minutes for a 2 minute song imagine an entire album
ゲーミングうんち 19 minutes is pretty fast to write those masterpieces
One minute song. Also he's really fast
i can take days to compose shitty songs hahahahahaha
There is something very humbling about watching such a talented musician/composer go through trial and error. Very nice, and inspiring.
Watching such a talented musician struggle and have to practice over and over is such a powerful thing to see. I think people too often forget that even the best must sill put in effort. It's very inspiring to see videos like this.

really glad you made this video, showing how much work and sweat it takes for every second of each of your song. It’s really encouraging to see such high-level playing on guitar in its raw form and how much practice it takes in order to sync the tempo of the riffs with the one on your head. I have the utmost respect for your playing after watching this video, and wish you could give us more insight of your playing once in a while. Ever since I found your videos I'm honestly inspired to move onto the next level of my guitar playing. Honestly. I was at a hault with the progression seeing as I knew how to play a copious amount of chords and a few arpeggios. But, I felt monotony In it. You changed that for me. Honestly thank you!

Watch these video to understand. The guy is selling a fake dream that he himself hasn't achieved. He's a good guitar player, but he's still a snake oil salesman.

WOAH THIS IS AMAZING TO SEE
Have you tips on not forgetting the parts that you arrange in the beginning?
Record yourself? Dk but that seems like a good enough solution to me
Karada wo oboeteiru
yep! just record. it works for me tho
If recording doesn't work, tab it out or some shit
The chords you use, do you know them all (like, you learnt them) or you invent ? (Because I just used this video to try to compose like you but I'm struggling making the melody and turning it into chords (I don't know many chords)
SKGaming he doesn't invent, he has spent enough time with the instrument to know a lot of chord shapes and which chord tones he can alter. it all depends on your ears and what end product you want, if you don't hear music in your head you can't compose music like him, simple. everyone hears music differently.
the rhythm, voice leading and chromatic movement he got here is also key for the music he's creating here.
musicians worst enemy is comparison, you should always create the music you're feeling, not what others feel.
It's nice to see the process behind Ichika's style. It's unique, and the knowledge he shares in this video can go a long way for many aspiring musicians.
