@@AntonDaniels Do you regret your decision? I have a low paying ($60k/yr) 30-35/hr a week remote job. I'm always lured by the status and money of corporate america, but I'm not sure if its worth it. Rob 60k a year isn’t low paying. You also have to factor in where you live. I didn’t quit my job to pursue another career. I built my businesses in the time I wasn’t working full time. Just do both. Never take away from the food on your table.
Seems like both of you have established some stability and value career-wise though, but I agree that you have to make the most of life, and if that means giving up being comfortable for gaining freedom.

Hi Anton, I found your video because I'm planning on doing the "I Quit" video on my channel too (I already quit--just working up the courage to post it), and I just wanted to say that I'm really happy I found it. You did a really good job telling your story, and I felt such a connection to your story as I could relate to much of what you said (like the golden handcuffs and wanting to do something more in life). I also thought it was precious when you were teaching your daughter to be nice to everyone. Anyways, just wanted to drop a comment to say I'm rooting for you! Really happy UA-cam search led me to this video. :)

@@zylemacruz8400 I personally am doing two things. First, I am spending a lot more time at my gym taking care of my health. Second, I am dating more because I actually now have some time. Honestly, when I was working 50-60 hours per week, I was constantly tired and essentially forfeited my social life. And then again, I'm going to be 58 in August. Not a young buck anymore. Nice to finally have a predictable routine.

Thats all that matters brother .love the way you put everything in perspective. You know in life there is really no right or wrong . Its all about being the best you . Keep up the great work brother.
What's your personality type? Thank you sir for not letting fear take ahold and not letting yourself make excuses and remain comfortable while sacrificing what you know you should be doing.
I'm happy that you took the step which you feel will make you internally and externally happier. There will always be other individuals such as family and loved ones, friends and society who will question and may even put you down for taking such a step, but it's about your personal happiness and contentment. No doubt, you may have to cut down on your costs and settle for less luxuries but again you did what you felt will make you happier and I respect you for that. I pray God opens the doors of more happiness and success for you. Ameen.
Would love to know how you managed your corporate career and being an entrepreneur especially with something as hands-on as a restaurant. This entire time I didn't know you had a corporate 9-5. Always good videos brother.
Been at my company for 8 years and I feel like I can’t move forward anymore, life’s about stepping stones. My next stepping stone may be backwards but then it could allow me to jump onto a stepping stone that was out of reach if I stay in the same job. My corporate job I make 70/80k a year but it’s time to go self employed and see if I can do this shit on my own. This video is fantastic.
Just subbed. In terms of whether you should go through with leaving or not (assuming that you could get your position back if you wanted it), I think that leaving corporate is about the right timing. I know that a lot of people will say that there will never be a "right" time and they are correct, but the time to leave is when you have developed yourself to the point in which you can make a living as an entrepreneur. I left my corporate job last August to start my own company. I just recently reentered the work force. I have no regrets at all. The main thing that I tell people is that building a business is like having two full time jobs so don't complicate the calculus by not having spent enough time developing your own skill set so that you can be successful. If you have already grinded and identified and developed all of the skills that you will need to be successful then leaving is the right move. If not, then depending on your savings it still may be the right move but it will be tougher. Either way, good luck. Definitely pulling for you.
This is an awesome comment. I’m a serial entrepreneur and opening my restaurant was the hardest business I’ve ever done. I’m still not sure I want to continue running it. However, it’s important for me to always jump and never look back. I’ll always have a job waiting for me if needed. Thanks fam
If you’re moving around that much in a short amount of time, then you’re not doing something right. Either that, or your job is totally taking advantage of you by requiring you to relocate constantly.
do YOU. I don't presume to judge what is good for anyone else. If you feel you need to strike out in a different direction, DO IT. I'll be following your journey!
Much Respect. I aspire to be in such a position to walk away from working for others. This was inspiring. The power to control your own destiny is priceless... Salute.
Excellent move I think! The time and resources that you put in to someone else's Corporation; you can put into building your own Empire. I you are a man of great vision, and perception. That little voice you hear...yep, its God. You will succeed because when you're faced with a life altering decision, God will back you as long as you're firm and don't waver on said decision. By staying focused and being decisive God will back you because you're showing you have faith in him, when you waver he won't back you, I like to called these times test of faith. You're on the right track God is with you stick to your decision and all will be good! You're blessed, trust me I know.
@@AntonDaniels Anton, you already are on your way, you are an individual who is in the Driver's Seat of Life, not the passengers seat. I offer this tidbit of wisdom to you, even though I have an inkling that you may have read this book, but it's named Think and Grow Rich: By Napoleon Hill, aside from the title its more of a positive reinforcement novel. Stay blessed, continued success.
My man! Let me say this. Stumbled upon your channel and it was immediately compelling. Which is to say something about you. So curious to know about your family who raised you. And you are one of the rare personalities who have that otherness, et. al. Have interpersonal relationships come naturally easy to you? Have you ever failed at something you really wanted to succeed at? What has replaced the " love of action " you wisely stepped away from @ the gaming tables. Finally, I suspect your corporate job position had much to do with your abilities to communicate and develop relationships. Nice family too, the love is palpable. Even from across the screen.
Wow, you’re dead on with my corporate position. 75% was building the right relationships. I appreciate your ability to observe and catch certain traits. And yes, I’ve failed a lot (and still failing). I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all a matter of perspective because all of my failures have led to massive successes. Thanks for the feedback, love, and insight my friend. Please, keep in touch.
You gonna have bills dawg.. Now not only you have to be the IT guy, but now you have to be IT, HR, Accounting, finance, customer service, security, EVERYTHING. Now you have to depend on your vendor, your staff, your customer, etc to do their part in order for it to work. No more health benefits, no more retirement plan, no more free meal. Good luck.. you gonna have BILLS dawg.... dont get me started on your family's health insurance cost
I'm not retiring to start another business. I've been a serial entrepreneur all my life. I'm walking away BECAUSE I've done well in my life. There is a difference.
I’ve been rocking wit dese videos I like watching realistic positive shit. I hate those fake “woke” condescending motivational videos you got a down to earth perspective on everything. I think people should strive to become self-employed if they feel their career is not their passion. However, the disconnect people thinks that self-employed means you don’t have to work hard. I think you should build stability then work for yourself
I’m trying to be like you, Anton. I want to save money and focus on school and start a business or two. Right now, I’m working multiple jobs to save and pay bills. Hopefully, by next August, I can work at least 2 jobs and finish my goals.
I work a 6 figure job in IT sales at a well known company....and I’m miserable. It’s such a pointless job, I feel like a useless drone with no direction in life. Single, no responsibilities outside of my dog, few friends, and I only spend money on rent and food. I have a big savings account and want to quit so badly to experience something new, but with Covid idk what to do. Should I quit? I have to give a presentation to management tomorrow on how I plan on hitting my quota and I legit could not care less about it. I’m so tempted to quit and walk away. Need help....
Don’t quit. It won’t change your perspective on life. You need a new mindset. Start going out more, meet some new inspirational friends, and get new hobbies outside of work. It has nothing to do with what you do to make money and everything to do with your mindset. What would be your transition plan? Do you work out regularly? And download the meetup app for ideas of getting out of your comfort zone. Join a new church. Quitting your job (especially during COVID) won’t change your mindset. Get a mentor and work toward moving up in your job.

I came across your channel & I love your content, especially your views on marriage. Funny how this video was in my recommendation 2 years later & based of your success it looks like you made the right decision! Keep on going!
This is what a good father teaches his daughter , be respectful to anyone not just someone who you think have more value or power to your eyes .
Teach them young!
Your foresight will take you anywhere because your drive is truly sincere. Pittsburgh is behind you. I left my nursing career after 30 years.
And I love Pittsburgh 🙌🏾
What do you do now after nursing?
@@zylemacruz8400 I personally am doing two things. First, I am spending a lot more time at my gym taking care of my health. Second, I am dating more because I actually now have some time. Honestly, when I was working 50-60 hours per week, I was constantly tired and essentially forfeited my social life. And then again, I'm going to be 58 in August. Not a young buck anymore. Nice to finally have a predictable routine.
Ultimately...everything happens as it should. Life plays out just as it already has been planed to go. Be blessed bro with God Speed!
🤗🤗🤗
Life isnt about what you do its about the journey you make along the way. I found your channel back in 2018 and I look forward to see new adventures you have in waiting
🙌🏾
I gave up the golden handcuffs today as a commercial lawyer. Great video btw. This helped me.
God bless you on your journey
Love the humility you show by saying you've had a lot of failures on camera. You don't sugarcoat anything and I appreciate your words
Thank you my friend. I have to be fully transparent.
Your talents are endless so you don't have to be stuck in one job/career. You will prosper no matter what. I agree, money isn't everything. Passion is everything! All the best to you and your family.
Thank you so much. Looking forward to the journey.
That had to be hard..
But you are in control of your own destiny...
Good luck!!!
More difficult than you could ever imagine
I think following your dreams as a business owner/public figure on UA-cam is awesome especially if your comfortable doing that and it makes you happy
Thanks fam, I appreciate the love and support
I just quit my job two weeks ago and this video pops up. Lol! Man that you tube algorithms got me pegged. Perfect suggestion!
Yea, I was scared to make the move but my misery was greater than my fears. Lets do this!
Great video Bro. I'm about 60-90 days out from making the same move. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats my friend.
Just subscribed to your channel last month and what a brave and bold move. I understand those "golden handcuffs" I just have to find a way to pull away. Thanks for being you and showing it can be done with satisfaction blessings for your future 🥰
Thank you for the feedback and joining the journey
It has truly been a blessing listening to this young man. May God continue to lead and guide you in all of your endeavors. Refreshing!!
Thank you and God bless you
Good luck anton, and good advance. I feel that your right follow your heart, and you'll always be happy.
Thank you. Hopefully I’ve made the right decision!
@@AntonDaniels I think you have and believe you anton.
My friend i feel what your speaking lifes to short for what if brother. Do your thing . If your happy at the end of the day . Thanks friend
You're my brotha, I appreciate the insightful commentary. I thought I was on this island alone.
What's your personality type? Thank you sir for not letting fear take ahold and not letting yourself make excuses and remain comfortable while sacrificing what you know you should be doing.
Not sure exactly how to explain my personality type, but definitely an Alpha male
I wish you the best of luck Bruh. Live your best life and go for it!!
I think you're on the right track. Take it from someone who's been there
Life is good
You got this!!! Keep going! Can't wait to see your journey, much success 🙏❤!!
It’s been a wild one so far.
I don't know who you are, but you inspired me! May Allah bless you.
Bless you also... 🙌🏾
Best of luck, looking forward to seeing your future updates and projects/endeavors.
And there are a lot!
Go with what you believe in bro. You are Awesome. Positive vibes bro!
Much appreciated
I'm happy that you took the step which you feel will make you internally and externally happier. There will always be other individuals such as family and loved ones, friends and society who will question and may even put you down for taking such a step, but it's about your personal happiness and contentment.
No doubt, you may have to cut down on your costs and settle for less luxuries but again you did what you felt will make you happier and I respect you for that.
I pray God opens the doors of more happiness and success for you. Ameen.
Thank you... but it’s been phenomenal in that this last year has been one of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you for the well wishes.
You did the right thing , and showing your daughter around and teaching her was bonus for us and her . Keep teaching bro 😎
Would love to know how you managed your corporate career and being an entrepreneur especially with something as hands-on as a restaurant. This entire time I didn't know you had a corporate 9-5. Always good videos brother.
Tell me about it... that’s why I value my time. I feel like I don’t have enough of it!
Anton - I'm really interested in how you are getting on now, so I've just subscribed: Trust in the universe and be relentless.
I wont say your crazy for leaving your job, but I pray whatever it is you plan to do is successful
I appreciate it
Been at my company for 8 years and I feel like I can’t move forward anymore, life’s about stepping stones.
My next stepping stone may be backwards but then it could allow me to jump onto a stepping stone that was out of reach if I stay in the same job.
My corporate job I make 70/80k a year but it’s time to go self employed and see if I can do this shit on my own.
This video is fantastic.
Strategicman! Sometimes we all need a break. Very inspring as always!
Thanks bro
You are so smart articulate and grounded. Totally hear you and wish you success
Thanks fam
What a nice break room . Where I work it’s a room with two tables plastic chairs and your kitchen key to find a plastic utensil half the time
“Get comfortable to be uncomfortable”. I’m in a new city all by myself- again. I’ve lived in 5 different new cities in the last 5 years.
Why?
If you’re moving around that much in a short amount of time, then you’re not doing something right. Either that, or your job is totally taking advantage of you by requiring you to relocate constantly.
Wow, this is me right now. Thank you!
Good luck young man. That takes guts. Obviously, you have some things you want to explore. Go for it.
I’m on it my friend. Thanks for the well wishes!
do YOU. I don't presume to judge what is good for anyone else. If you feel you need to strike out in a different direction, DO IT. I'll be following your journey!
Thanks for the feedback!
This was recommended to me. Loved the video. beautiful daughter. Will definitely check out the new video's.
How are things now? I am in the same situation. I do want to walk away but the FEAR is real.
Then don't walk away. If you even the slightest of doubt, keep sleeping on it.
I want to wish you the best of luck on your new adventures! I know you will accomplish anything you put your mind to! 👍👍🤜🤜🤗🤗
Thanks for the great energy
This hits hard sir…thank you for the transparency.
worth it! I quit a high paying sales job in outside sales but I hated my life. Your smart, you can figure something out!
Much Respect. I aspire to be in such a position to walk away from working for others. This was inspiring. The power to control your own destiny is priceless... Salute.
Salute to you also king
Excellent move I think! The time and resources that you put in to someone else's Corporation; you can put into building your own Empire. I you are a man of great vision, and perception. That little voice you hear...yep, its God. You will succeed because when you're faced with a life altering decision, God will back you as long as you're firm and don't waver on said decision. By staying focused and being decisive God will back you because you're showing you have faith in him, when you waver he won't back you, I like to called these times test of faith. You're on the right track God is with you stick to your decision and all will be good! You're blessed, trust me I know.
Thanks so much. We sometimes try and block that little voice out, but I’ve learned to listen.
Been thinking about leaving
I needed to see this video now. I love what you have shared, and I feel the same way!!
I’m glad you found value in this video. Stay in touch my friend.
Congratulations brother! Take the leap!!!
Thank you my friend
Anton, you have not failed. "L" is for lessons because you refused to stay down.
Congrats bro, it’s good to catch back up with your journey, you will be just fine.
Thanks my friend. I appreciate you.
You don’t need a job to pay bills or have healthcare.
You're right. You actually work harder than ever when you work for yourself.
I'm glad I found your channel. Driven, positivity and making moves. 🙌🏽
🙌🏾 thanks fam
I’m trying to be like you, Anton. I want to save money and focus on school and start a business or two. Right now, I’m working multiple jobs to save and pay bills. Hopefully, by next August, I can work at least 2 jobs and finish my goals.
Pretty cool.. Congrats on your life decision. I am excited to see you succed in your new endeavor.
Gotta jump!
Thank you for making this video. I feel lost currently but you are inspiring.
I’m going to speak on this on my other channel today.
wow that was a great move sir. congratulations. God is in control. i gave you a sub sir cuz i can relate.
Thank you. God bless you
All the best in your future endeavours.
Thank you 🙏🏾
I work a 6 figure job in IT sales at a well known company....and I’m miserable.
Don’t quit
Don't do this if you believe in a hotdog stand over a figure job and you have more than 1 kid
