    Im a 25 year old black first generation college graduate female. Now that im in corporate i see it for the bullshit that it is. I cant believe i worked this hard and went thousands of dollar into debt for this shit. I cant believe this was what was constantly shoved in my face as the way out poverty. When i was a little kid i used to see these corporate people in their fancy clothes walking around and i thought they looked so cool, i thought they must make so much money and be so happy. I thought if i just get good grades in highschool i can get into a decent college and then i can get an important job like those people and i wont be poor anymore.
    Now that im here i realize corporate culture is so mind numbingly boring and strange. Its all a lie. You can see the depression in peoples faces and you can hear it when they make weird jokes about how happy they are that its friday. It is no way to live and youre never make the money you think youre going to make. You realize you can make that same money doing a lot of other things but its the "prestige" of working in corporate that attracts people and keeps them there.

      Congratulations on being a 1st generation graduate, Dominique. I totally understand how you feel. Your comment inspired me to make a video reply to it, that I'll be doing soon at my Facebook page (which has many other helpful videos as well) at: facbook.com/thesimplifier (in the next day or two). Keep your head up. Work on your job full time, while you build your financial freedom on your part time endeavors. Here's how I'm helping people start a part time business from home who are in situations like yours: thesimplifier.com/nls

    I'm only a 24 year old man, and even I think corporate America has started to suck my soul away.

    • @TomBeal2
      @TomBeal2  4 роки тому +2

      Not all are soul suckers, but there is a dynamic to many that unfortunately trends towards that. When you're in one that is making you feel that way, recognize this is only a temporary solution until you find your ideal scenario. And begin creating your own gig/business asap. I can so relate to that Tom and thank you. I will get there! I am doing what ever it takes... you are a big inspiration to me and Cindy and I look forward to hanging out with you at the Marketing Mayhem Event. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and contacting E Brian Rose and Bryan Zimmerman. And my story is similar to yours as far as my old boss told me he couldn't give me the time off to go to Cindy's Chemo. and Radiation treatments and that i had to choose work or Cindy. You see where I'm at
