Something i just realized: the quests that actually featured Zelda's involvement are immortalized in the pictures on the walls in her (Link's) house! Her horse, the chefs, Magda, the goats, and the DonDons are all there! 😊

I was doing this the other day and my head was SPINNING trying to find the mysterious beast the Zelda was riding. Then I saw your other video on them and when it completed I screamed out loud In pure joy.
this questline in general is one of my favorites in the game. the stables are my safe space in the game and i do everything resource-related there (cooking and roasting, amiibos, weapon fusing, buying and selling, taking stock of my new loot, experimenting, sleeping etc) it's like my happy little gatherer brain time away from the main game. i spend the end of every play session at a random stable doing just what i said above, around 10-15 minutes every time. i'm happy to see that the stables are more bustling and alive than in BotW, and seeing how their locations and interiors changed between games has become somewhat of an obsession. this comment isn't meant for anything in particular i guess, just my little love letter to the stables :)
I find it so crazy that Penn and Traysi don't get character profiles but Hudson and his wife do. Penn is much more of a recurring character than Hudson due to this quest, and this one is actually relevant to the search for Zelda and the game's lore and prominent locations. I thought they were just doing main characters, but when Hudson got added that immediately changed my thought process about who's worthy lol.
If you’re having trouble with the quest For Our Princess like I did, you can still use the Earthwake technique even without your gear. It’s good for keeping distance between you and the monsters. Austin’s video on the Yiga Outfit and Lightning Helm is a good resource for help with that. Sucks you can’t use Earthwake in Proving Ground shrines.
This was the first quest series I went for. Was a little long for my tastes but I hate slipping in rain so much. Totally worth it to eliminate that from the game.
Super long quest lines but it kinda reminded me of classic Zeldas and MM. I kinda liked all the characterization and mini stories involved too. I'd reccomend most ppl waiting till they have the map filled for faster traversal.
This is supposed to be game-long. Penn appears outside of Lookout Landing Tower when you first activate it, pointing you toward doing the Hebra quest first and activating his side quest to do throughout the rest of the game. Its not really meant to be grinded through, just completed as you progress the map and stop by stables.
@@insertnamehere5193 It is if you want no-slip armor. Either you have armor immune to slipping or you don't. And if you don't then what's the point of spending time on it? Exploration is a bigger part early game rather than late game. You need armor like this early on when you're not just fast traveling from all 100+ shrines you can tele to. Getting it late game is far less useful by then. You would have less to explore by then and what you did need to explore you'd likely have flying vehicles by then so you wouldn't even need this armor. And if it truly wasn't meant to be grinded they could have easily had some story flags placed that required resolving some of the regional phenomena before the quests for that area were available but no, you can do all of them from the beginning.
@@pcdeltalink036 I meant that pacing wise its meant to be played as an overarching event, not cleared in one-go. You're not literally going to spend all game doing this, but if you explore the right amount in-between main quests, you'll likely get this done amidst that; the overall point of the quest is drawing attention to stables and pulling your explorations into regions outside of main quests and towers. Its not a grinded quest in the same way that collecting Impa's Geoglyphs is not one fowl swoop. That's why its listed in 'Side Adventures' not 'Side Quests'. Just because the reward may be more applicable to a certain game period doesn't change that. So, yeah, what you said is right! This is a rather early-game quest. I agree, that's why Penn is placed so early-on in the game, to push you toward Hebra. But I believe its meant to last marginally through mid-game. You can play however you want, I'm not arguing you *can't* grind this quest, I'm just saying its clearly intended to fall in-line as a background element you progress one after the other in the same manner as the main quests, and the critique of it being 'long' is missing the entire point of it.
@@pcdeltalink036 that was respectfully a stupid ass response. It’s clearly meant to be done as you find the stables, not grounded through. Ever heard of potions? And you get the gear throughout the quest, not at the end
I totally missed the construct parts for that raft one, and it was early in the game, so I struggled, swimming ahead and using ultrahand. One more thing that's going to go MUCH easier next playthrough
For the quest "For our Princess!" if you're finding it difficult, just wait at a makeshift campfire until nighttime, and then go in. They'll all be asleep so you can sneak strike all the smaller bokoblins (in my game a single sneakstrike killed the armoured bokoblin in one hit too) and none of the others will wake up this way. That will leave the moblin at the end, who I killed with the charged spinning attack on the greatsword fused with the boulder. It couldn't even get up before it was dead. if you're still having trouble, you can eat a meal that gives you extra hearts - you'll go in with those extra hearts, making it slightly easier to take damage against them.
I never noticed the Aerocuda stuff but I've been using the elemental Keese eyeballs for dealing with them because it's super fun to see the trails and sometimes I'll get a stray shot where I will freeze or shock and unsuspecting enemy which always turns out good but homing air hose are so nice
Excellent as usual. I on my third time through and I FINALLY wised up to the fact that you can get to the next stable by going back to Traci who’ll direct you. I didn’t pursue the foggy set on run one. On run two she kept referring me to Dueling Peaks. I searched diligently, but never found my partner, and assumed there was a glitch. Then you said to look on the roof. Thanks!
I like the idea of an omnipotent all knowing npc, but it is like an old wizard dlc so he doesn’t know random information cause he’s old and forgetful. He knows all your stats and is the only npc that speaks to you as a player instead of link. With this he also teaches you magic by fusing stones and tells you about magic like the yaga scroll. I think it would be a dope addition and he would have you do random stuff like find out a characters grandmas name or try fusing obscure things. like is knowledge is infinite and he’s like gandolf, but he’s more interested in funny little obscure side quests. also i love how this game really brings fantasy and imagination to life. There are movies and games like LOTR or elden ring or DND but with this it was made to be broken. You could be a wizard or barbarian or just start the Industrial Revolution. You could lead the spainish inquisition or fly a tie fighter and it’s all open world like ghost of tushima.
Not sure if you covered this in a video but you can use lightroots to find all hidden surface (not sky) shrines. I activated all the lightroots because the depths make me anxious without them, and since they align exactly where shrines are on the surface, you can go to a lightroot on your map, click up to go to the surface map, set a marker, and then find the marker on the surface. Great for finding the ones in caves and stuff and also just any you might have missed.
Ty for sharing, I have to add; when doing the "race to the roof/logs" quest, if you don't get it the 1st time you will have to travel somewhere and return. The chicken kept saying I failed even though I had plenty of time left on the clock and brought all 3 logs. After the 3rd time I transported then returned and finally it said I did it.
I'm really loving all of the new totk videos! Thanks for all of your hardwork, truly amazing :D could you maybe also do a video on the frostbite and ember armor sets?
Spoke to Penn at the stable first, then went to talk to the girl, and Penn showed up! Didn't have to go back and talk to him, he came right to us. Another great video Austin, many thanks for all your efforts! 😸👍
If anyone’s wondering about the DonDon order, you can talk to Penn, then directly talk to the girl and Penn will fly in after and give you your reward. Make sure not to talk to the girl by trying to take her gems first bc Penn doesn’t fly in if you do.

I did 'For Our Princess' at night when they were all sleeping, grabbed all their weapons, and then sneak strike. The 'hardest' part was that armored bokoblin, because I was staying near the front to avoid waking up the archer (moblin decided to not be one shot, so that woke up the other guy) and couldn't find a rock
