You got me through BOTW and now I'm learning from your journey through TOTK. Your videos are so well-done and easy to follow. It's about time I thanked you :)
He is undoubtedly, hands down, the only creator I know that works so hard and without fail produces the most informative and excellently produced videos so quickly
Not only is Austin making just the most delightful and insightful videos, but it’s almost like he’s reading our minds of what we need in the game and out comes the exact video when we need it. Thank you Austin ❤
I asked about this last week, on a previous video, whether he could do a video for the ores and rupee farming, I think he just actually listens to his viewers, thank you for making this video! The duplications isn't working well for me, so this is works. Searching for all the caves now,
This is exactly how I felt about his coverage of Pokémon Legends Arceus. Felt like every time I came back to the channel it was the exact thing I was looking for
John: “Do the Gordon quest to get an ability that helps with breaking rocks and avoids wasting your bombs.” Me, who just spent most of last night investigating the Hidden Royal Passageway: “Oh, wow, that would have been great to know…”
Once you discover Tarrey Town and the ability to remove fused objects from weapons, wizrobe farming is also an option. They only ever have rubies, topazes, and sapphires, but still if you have them marked on your map that can be another thing you can do between Talus farming while you wait for the next bloodmoon to respawn everything.
I’m glad they scattered Blupees more commonly all over the world so that when you spot one, you can earn a quick convenient buck. A small change from BOTW but a very welcome one
I found that they have a maximum number of times that can be hit but if you use a 5 shot bow with a homing eye you can land all 5 simultaneously. And I believe that increases chances of not only more rupees but also much more valuable ones. I got like 230 rupees from one first shot, I tried reloading and found I got less rupees each reload. My last attempt I literally got 7 rupees so like 200 less. So pretty much confirms they’re monitoring reload spamming. But I’m pretty sure you get around that be reloading far enough away that they’re not properly loaded yet. You could probably farm that too for decent rupees. Maybe 10k an hour idk
One of the stables has a map of the trees.... and the map icon is identical so you can find them and mark them remotely. A Gerudo in Goro will buy gems for more than standard merchants.
My workday consists mostly of getting ready to go home and play tears of the kingdom. Thank you austin you help my workday go faster with all these helpful videos. Definitely earning those likes.
The single most interesting thing I've heard you say in any of these guides was at 2:51 when you mentioned wanting to do the rito and goron quests, then doing free play after. Would really, really love a guide dedicated to basically 'how to quickly unlock all the coolest tools/toys before just goofing around properly'
Fun fact: if you fully upgrade your battery well (you unlock to 8, and then upgrade those 8 to effectively become 16), the place to upgrade battery becomes a Zonai Capsule shop where you can straight up just buy what you want with the same currency. This is also the only place to get the big battery (the one that attaches to your machines, but it's bigger) in a renewable way after you've unlocked it in this one shrine in a cave that I don't really remember where.
@@kingslushie1018 yeah it uses crystallised charges. Each zonai device costs just 3 charges, but the big battery specifically costs 30 charges. Imo that's pretty cheap considering you already farmed like 4.5k charges to max out the battery in the first place
Oh nice, the Stone Talus farm was my grind to becoming rich in Breath of the Wild, I only found out about the snow bowling thing way later. Every Blood Moon I'd just make the Hyrule Death Circuit and murder my way to greatness. Thanks for the tips and locations!
Important flight reminder: If you find yourself overshooting your desired landing point while using a Zonai Wings device, be aware that _using Recall and canceling it immediately_ on anything traveling in air will set its momentum to *zero* and cause it to drop straight down. Granted, Wings might still move forward a bit, but you can always repeat this. Greatly enhances precision landing on flying vehicles.

I don’t know about anyone else but I am only one who wanted to see Austin’s first play through of the game just to see his reaction or at the very least see his reactions to the memories?
In BotW my favorite get-rich-quick scheme was definitely the snow bowling, I once spend a whole day with my brain on autopilot while I listened to podcasts just hitting strike after strike & made a half million rupees by the time I was done & I haven't had to worry about money ever again so you can imagine my shock & disappointed when I went looking for Pondo's Lodge & found that it's abandoned & derelict instead.
Of course it's abandoned and derelict. My dude just wanted a small home business to make some profit on the side and you ran him through for his life savings xD.
Hey Austin and guys, this might be my first ever comment on a UA-cam video but this guide has helped me immensely. I’ve got one more rare talus I just found to add to the streak every blood moon. From the light root under Kakariko Village, there is one of those small workshops that are all over the place just a bit to the west. The rare talus is a stones throw south of that workshop.
Can we just all appreciate how good and informative his videos are, like everything is fact checked or he tells us otherwise. It's not just Zelda, it's Pokémon and even Animal crossing guides were all incredible.
dude i started watching this man for scarlet/violet tips and i am so happy i found him for this game. Nintendo wish they could communicate information on their own products as Austin John
Austin John. I’m not sure where to share this info so hopefully this can make it to the community. I have been riding on Dinraal’s back for a while and this is what i found. 1; he does not despond. 2; he flies in a set loop. 3; half of his route is underground. 4; he enters through "Drenan Highlands Chasm" and exites "East Akkala Plains Chasm". 5; the two easiest places to jump on him is "Akkaja Ancient Tech lab"- "U-nazohso Lightroot" or catching him on the chasm entrance 6; while riding on his back i could harvest shards three times per circuit. I think you can harvest the dragons every 24 in game hours, but my math sucks so. I farmed at 1:10 AM then again at 11:30 PM in game time. i hope this helps. IDK info for the other dragons.
If you ride on the dragons back for an in game 12 hour period it’s clock resets for dragon parts. It’s definitely an afk sort of harvesting method but it’s very effective and ensures not having to find them at a certain time
the problem is that the light dragon is the only one you can truly afk on, the others go vertical down and vertical up through the chasms as part of their path and I haven't found a position on them where you can afk and not get knocked off on either the down or up movement. I wonder if it would be possible to rig up some kind of saddle like device you could autobuild on them...
The thing about Rare Stone Talus farming too is that, if you go to Goron City, there’s a merchant you can sell to that will buy the gems in bulk at much higher prices
Austin: if you're struggling with money, you're either not going into caves or not breaking ore deposits Me: *gets a single amber from a rare ore deposit*

Austin?!! How are you able to do this so fast? I’m a content creator as well and I work pretty fast, but you seem to have some kind of sorcery or Time Machine on your side! It’s nuts and you deserve all the subscribers and success! Thank GOD for you!❤
Man... Austin... Do you have a team working for you? If not I don't know how you are so efficient playing the game, doing all the research for these guides, doing the math with trial and error and recording and editing the video for yt...you are the best!
Austin is getting me through this amazing game by making high quality content every two seconds. I have beat one dungeon just because I’ve been doing all of the side quests and guides that I get from you!
Just wanted to say a massive thanks for all the guides, but don't overstress yourself putting out content for us, take some time to just enjoy the game as well
You can farm dragon parts by riding dragons, the easiest near Kakariko village, Nydra goes to the depths thru the east hill chasm. you can jump on his back(need cold resistance) and you can ride thru a long path in the depths where you can collect its spikes(~10) - don't shoot or hit Nydra.
Just curious if you're going to do a video covering the housebuilding mechanic in which you can build your own custom home outside of Tarrytown. I've only seen a few people even talk about it
@@marcy1232 yeah in Tarrytown there is a quest you do for Hudson involving his daughter that once you complete you can gain access to a plot of land and the ability to buy house modules that can be combined and rearranged with ultra hand. You can even purchase stables and shrines for your place
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the flint eater Goron near the Death Mountain SkyTower restaurant. He pays 1000 rupees for each flint he finds and you can give him 100 at a time.
Austin, You are absolutely crushing content creation. I can’t imagine how much work it is but thank you, seriously… it feels like we are playing alongside each other so thanks for all you do.
I rarely ever comment on UA-cam videos, in fact, I mostly only comment on Austin’s videos, this guy is a freaking legend. People would PAY back in the days for guides to play video games that weren’t nowhere near as detailed as Austin’s videos. And the incredible quick turn around is seriously on another level. He deserves all the recognition! Thank you for everything you do for us 🥹
used to watch your videos back when botw was new, haven't really watched your videos until now, since totk is out. thanks for these guides, they're really insightful and have some testing involved, rather than a quick "just do this"
i also liked that you went over the dumb flying game. i'd honestly rather accumulate money naturally because mining in caves is more fun than doing the same thing for 6 hours
Thank you for your content. I got so obsessed with the the depth and upgrading my batteries that I've neglected exploring the caves extensively. Too much time mucking around making new death machines and traps.
For the dragons, when you ride them, and get their parts they recharge, when you hit them their horns and spikes go dull then when the horns come back with color means you can shoot again. And also all along their back there are those spikes I got 12 from 1 dragon
For dragon scales, horn, claws you can chill on top of the dragon you want and every 15 mins or so he will recharge and you can farm their items, 1 per charge though.
There is also another side hustle you can do though it is not exactly early game but as soon as you can build your own house all you have to do is build the max amount of ponds where the sanke carp will spawn. Each carp sells for 20 rupees and has no special effect in cooking, so there is no reason to keep them around.
the almost exasperated history teacher energy in the beginning of the video is so funny to me. I promise to watch the whole video beginning to end, Austin sensei.
If you go to Sikutamak Lightroot and go to the second layer of rocks leading into the Akkala House of Bones, you can jump off the structure there and shoot five opals (or any other elemental gem) at the rocks to cause a panic bloodmoon, basically giving you infinite money (If you have a five-shot bow, you can just shoot it once without going into bullet time). I like to put a travel medallion down near the taluses that are further away, kill them and the other taluses, then teleport to Sikutamak Lightroot, cause a panic bloodmoon, teleport to the travel medallion and repeat.
Southeast region, there's a pirate island with a pair of dudes at the highest point that will have you fly a glider into a target on the ocean, pretty easy to land in the bullseye, grants you 100 rupees, or 50 if you slightly miss the target, costs 20 rupees to do the challenge each time but nets you 80 rupees a minute-ish
I found two more Rare Stone Taluses on the surface. One is on North Akkala Beach (walk south from the Shrine). The other is in a clearing on the east bank of Lake Floria, south of Floria Bridge and opposite Lakeside Stable (if you have the stamina, easiest to launch and fly SW from Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower). Also, six in the Depths which Austin talks about in another video.
Dude you’ve been knocking it out of the park with your videos, it feels like you’ve got a new one uploaded every five mins, and they’re all great vids! I hope you’re not overworking yourself! Thanks for the vids!
So efficient! great video! Usually I shy away from videos that are longer than 10 minutes but I'm driving right now and I was able to absorb so much information just from listening, I sincerely appreciate you making this video! subscribed!
Sell minerals to Ramella the Gerudo merchant in Goron City. She buys them in batches of 10, but she buys amber for double, topaz for +25%, ruby for +15%, sapphire for +13%, and diamond for +10%. Because of the decreasing rate of return for more valuable ores, you’re probably better off saving the diamonds instead of selling those, but at 5,500 rupees for 10 it might be the quickest way to make a lot of money in the game
Now this is a good guide, because the optimal way to farm rupees right now is probably duping diamonds, but once it gets patched everyone is gonna be looking for new rupee methods, and Austin John will be here
I'm sure im not the first one to mention this but I thought I would mention it in case anyone is still interested in the Dondons, you can give them up to five luminous stones each which will increase the odds of them spawning something better. Austin only got amber and flint because he only gave one stone to each dondon. So if you are trying to get diamonds for legendary weapons you have five chances to get one diamond each time by giving each dondon 5 luminous stones.
wanted to add about the minigames! theres a "hit the bell" minigame from a goron southeast of outskirt stable on the montain behind the colosseum. ive only gotten 150 points on it so i dont know if there are further rewards but every play is 30 rupees, u win a ruby(110 rupees) every time (for hitting ~150) and you just have to autobuild the same construct every time, taking about 15 seconds of setup, super easy way to farm!
There's a couple more rare stone talues that I know of on the surface! One is on North Akkala Beach just to the right on the map from the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab (you can walk there from the shrine on the beach), and the other is just off Floria Bridge next to Lakeside stable, on the side of the bridge with just one waterfall (just go to the stable, walk across the bridge, and hop off)
For the Dondon conversion feed them the Luminous Stones wait 20 min IRL time (not game time) go back and you can collect the rewards. Worked for me so far.
You can also do advanced courses at the flight range that give 300 rupees and all you need to do is get in a certain amount of hoops in the euro village flight range
You, my dude, know stuff; stuff we like to, think about, hear, and listen to. Some of us probably already knew a bunch of what you said, but we all learn something from you. So thanks! ...but if it wouldn't be too much work for you to drop that first four hour video, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would watch it (maybe another channel for so it wouldn't screw up your main channel)
Less than twenty seconds at a time to do the goron bell with a stake, two iron poles, a spring, and an iron barrel (in that order) which can all be found near the game for a ruby each time.
I dont know if this got patched or not (it probably did because nintendo has been on demon timing when it comes to glitches in totk) but there is a cluster of bombable rocks in the akala house of bones. if you hit them with roughly 3 arrows that have an explosive gem fused to them (opal is good for this) then you can cause a panic blood moon, and get the stone talus to respawn instantly.
(Posting this thanks on both videos) Hi Austin John! Thank you so much for the rare stone talus locations and the depths crystalized charge route! Now every blood moon I can farm rare stone taluses for good gems and weapon fuses, then go to the depths to use those weapons on the mini bosses down there and replace the weapons that break at the fallen soldier locations. A perfect farming circle. I seem to collect 2 battery segments with the route I do and only encounter 1 lynel when I do it. Frox are also excellent zonaite farming spots since they are also always beside a rich ore patch.
Throughout normal gamplay, wear stealth armor (like yiga or sheika) and grab everything. Bugs, frogs, apples, everything you see. When stal enemies appear, kill them (they're so easy). By doing this, I have never needed more rupees. Every time you need some, sell 200 bokoblin horns, even though they're only worth like 2 rupees each, you encounter so many of them, you are constantly gaining money through regular gameplay.
Lmfao dude you’re wasting time just use the gotcha glitch u can use it anywhere not just near dispensers. Just jump off a crate. Find a diamond and glitch then sell. One diamond is 500. What you’re recommending that you do is a huge waste of time

I love how you post like 3 tips vids every day and you should make a Playlist of all of these
i already did. the most relevant playlist is always the 3rd line of the descrition and on the end-screen
Just curious if you're going to do a video covering the housebuilding mechanic in which you can build your own custom home outside of Tarrytown. I've only seen a few people even talk about it
Wait you can build a house?? is that at the hudson construction place
when i get there, yes lol
@@marcy1232 yeah in Tarrytown there is a quest you do for Hudson involving his daughter that once you complete you can gain access to a plot of land and the ability to buy house modules that can be combined and rearranged with ultra hand. You can even purchase stables and shrines for your place
“That way you can have your pudding” lmao AJPlays with the dope tips AND Pink Floyd references??? This is why I’m subbed
Austin! I found a lot of those beetles for the armor at the great plateau. In the forest (north). Hope it helps ❤
Just looked and set me two short 😂 guess the remaining ones I can farm elsewhere
Games been out less than a week and this man has made guides for nearly everything this game has to offer early game love these vids
Austin we appreciate how much effort you put into every video
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the flint eater Goron near the Death Mountain SkyTower restaurant. He pays 1000 rupees for each flint he finds and you can give him 100 at a time.
The dupe glitch is to hard for me so this is what I gotta do now
keep trying if you really want to get good at it, i got into a rhythm after a few mins and I can get it almost every time now.
Austin,
You are absolutely crushing content creation. I can’t imagine how much work it is but thank you, seriously… it feels like we are playing alongside each other so thanks for all you do.
when I see your uploads, it makes me want to go boot up the game. Because of the energy you exert .You're amazing dude.
Thank you for everything you do for us 🥹
Eat your meat , or you can’t have any pudding … I wasn’t ready for that amazing Pink Floyd reference . Thank you for making me smile
used to watch your videos back when botw was new, haven't really watched your videos until now, since totk is out. thanks for these guides, they're really insightful and have some testing involved, rather than a quick "just do this"
i also liked that you went over the dumb flying game. i'd honestly rather accumulate money naturally because mining in caves is more fun than doing the same thing for 6 hours
they nerfed everything into the ground
Thank you for your content. I got so obsessed with the the depth and upgrading my batteries that I've neglected exploring the caves extensively. Too much time mucking around making new death machines and traps.
You look like Mexican Zelensky
Another thing I like to do take a picture of rare ore gains and rare ore deposits and run around the Eldon area. Decent money.
Rare ore Talus not gains. Don't know why it autocorrected to gains.
I never comment but eating your meat to get your pudding was a hilarious reference.
Austin is basically my GameInformer now
For the dragons, when you ride them, and get their parts they recharge, when you hit them their horns and spikes go dull then when the horns come back with color means you can shoot again. And also all along their back there are those spikes I got 12 from 1 dragon
This helped since my broke ass just spent all my rupees on the desert Voe gear 😭
Best Zelda guides. I’ve been a sub for awhile so I expected it be so.
Exactly the guide I was looking for. Perfect timing
For dragon scales, horn, claws you can chill on top of the dragon you want and every 15 mins or so he will recharge and you can farm their items, 1 per charge though.
that sounds like dragon farming to me!!! I'll go give it a try! Thanks!
Rage gaming videos are my favourite youtubers but when it comes to Zelda or pokemon guides austin john plays is the best, theres simply no contest.
There is also another side hustle you can do though it is not exactly early game but as soon as you can build your own house all you have to do is build the max amount of ponds where the sanke carp will spawn. Each carp sells for 20 rupees and has no special effect in cooking, so there is no reason to keep them around.
Farming Lynels is also quite fun and arrow-helpful. Once you get good at parrying it’s no longer he’ll and all sorts of fun.
Using the item duplication glitch you can dupe diamonds, i got around 13k in 10 minutes
the almost exasperated history teacher energy in the beginning of the video is so funny to me.
Austin tells me to watch the whole thing, I watch the whole thing
i don't do it often, so thank you.
I love your channel you’re the reason I got my Nintendo switch and your so incredibly humble keep up the good work
Dude you’ve been knocking it out of the park with your videos, it feels like you’ve got a new one uploaded every five mins, and they’re all great vids! I hope you’re not overworking yourself! Thanks for the vids!
I only watch Austin when it comes to tips and tricks for games. Dude is the GOAT
I was looking forward to this. Thank you! 🎉
So efficient! great video! Usually I shy away from videos that are longer than 10 minutes but I'm driving right now and I was able to absorb so much information just from listening, I sincerely appreciate you making this video! subscribed!
how are you making youtube comments while driving
@@pastaman68 dangerously. J/k. Voice to text, and at a long stoplight.
Came here months ago for rupees. Now I’m here to upgrade my Diamond Circlet to level 4. Satisfying.
Now this is a good guide, because the optimal way to farm rupees right now is probably duping diamonds, but once it gets patched everyone is gonna be looking for new rupee methods, and Austin John will be here
This is why you are my favorite UA-camr! All the others say just do minigames, but you came up with this.. amazing!
Austin John is the best out there- I’ve been using his videos since BOTW- so much dedication to these videos!! Never stop!! Thanks so much!!
just pumping these out like a machine we love it
I didn't need the diamonds for money. I needed them for those region specific weapons. Thank you.
I love how the majoras mask in the back has its eyes light up and dim out
Austin is the best Nintendo advocate on the platform.
This channel is some of the highest quality guide content for anything in the whole world
Throughout normal gamplay, wear stealth armor (like yiga or sheika) and grab everything.

@@foelokoWhats the point in playing if your just going to cheat. Theres no point in playing. That's like going into creative mode and calling in a survival world.
The Naydra dragon enters the undergroung through the big pit above katiko village where the great fairy was in BOTW i saw it enter then i ran around a bit then fast travelled back to the shrine above kariko naydra was flying back down into the pit so that might be a decent way to get a few horns
I'm going to be honest when I first saw you and your videos I truly mistook you for Austin St John that's why I clicked on your first video but now I'm glad I've stayed I love your content you make epic walkthroughs
