I kinda understand why Tai Lung went crazy with power. From the moment he could walk he was trained and made to believe he would be the dragon warrior, training every day with determination to live up to his master's expectations, only to have it stripped away from him at the last minute. Which when shifu says "THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT" His absolutely reasonable reaction was "NOT YOUR FAULT?" He did everything he was taught to do, yet none of it mattered. Shifu built him up too much imo. And oogway taught shifu and in some ways both were sorta bad mentors in hindsight. Oogway was too carefree and didn't care much vs shifu cared too too much hence why tigress has some image issues and p much despised poe when oogway chose him as the dragon warrior. My take is also oogway probably only saw the good or bad in people (which is a kids show / movie but is honestlt a horrible lesson irl) and shifu only saw tai lung as the orphaned adopted son he helped to build up. Shen was like the 10X extreme version where he knew the prophecy and his parents tried to shelter him from it but he ended up obsessed and fulfilled the prophecy by destroying himself. Probably a common theme in all 3 soon 4 movies. They try or dont try to stop something or change it and it ends up coming true especially in shen's case.

I doubt this is how Tai Lung was orphaned. Lord Shen said that he waited 30 years for his moment to claim the throne room of Gongmen City (and he imagined the canon a little to the left), and it was also 20 years after the Panda genocide. Tai Lung was in prison for 20 years and was already an adult by the time he was locked up. So, Tai Lung was too old for Shen to have turned him into an orphan.
Agreed, I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how that would work and it just doesn’t. Tai Lung’s age when he confronts Po in the first movie has to be at LEAST late 30s (20 years in prison + his first 15-20 years growing up under shifu’s tutelage) Po is supposed to be 20-something in the first movie. That means Lord shen has to be at least 40 years old by the 2nd movie, since he was an adult when Po was just a baby.

I believe that the theory about po’s parents, but in kung fu panda 3, Po’s father survives, I think po’s mom and dad had to abandon their son po so they can get away from lord shen, but after they dropped him at the door, lord shen might have stabbed Po’s mother and po’s father got away as fast as he can, or maybe both of the parents got away as fast as they can

That... does not make sense. Tai Lung is supposedly 40~ years ago and Po is 20~ years ago at the time of kung fu panda. By the time Po was born and found by Mr. Ping, Tai Lung had to either still be at the Jade Palace or in prison. So Tai Lung's abandonment isn't because of the Soothsayer's prophency (that took place literal 20 years after Tai Lung was found by Shifu). This theory makes no sense.

I think the ‘warrior of black and white’ meant 2 people (well, animals): po and Shen himself since shen wasn’t killed by po but himself.
But that would also include white tigers , thats why there are no other white tiger , not even normal ones , leaving tigress alone

If this theory is true, then for Shen’s sake, I’m glad that at worst he had to fight Po and not Tai Lung. True Tai Lung wasn’t able to beat Po, but Tai Lung is much less forgiving and more brutal, even if he did end up becoming the Dragon Warrior, I bet he’d give Shen a run for his money.
