A short tutorial showing my methods to fill those "closed" shelves and create custom light fixtures for outposts, apartments, and now player ships!

Keep in mind that the new maps allow us to fast travel to any of the notable "discovered" locations, including our homes so running like a maniac is not a required part of this building process.

Very interesting, reminds me decorating shelves in sims 4 with modding tools. Is a try again process until is perfectly aligned

This is an awesome way to fill those pesky closed shelving units. I'm still so sad we can't just "stack" the bookshelves as an inventory like we could in skyrim 😢 but this is a workaround for now! Tysm for sharing it.

@@PerfectlyHumbleAlways theres a book shelf mod for that you put the books in the shelf and u can see them just like skyrim, it also has alot of different shelves to use. its not just a storage if u put a blue book in youll see a blue book on the shelf title and all i think some of them work well for storing food to or anything perfect on that shelf

I've been using the "Item Displays Enhanced" mod by windaddict and it does that, but I still add items on shelves and bookcases so there's a "lived in" vibe. And I do like clutter, unfortunately XD

My biggest complaint is for items that have a base, it’s oftentimes impossible to orient them base-down. They mostly just end up lying on their sides so I gave up.

It is a challenge, and one that doesn't always end well 😅 I'm on PC, but it's far easier for me to decorate using a controller.
