If you drove the FX50 with the S package it's night and day with bodyroll. Trade off, it's a very stiff ride but you get very little to non body roll. Fun fact ! these engines were only used in production for the FX50. You will not find it in any other nissan/INFINITI. At one point these 5.0s where used on the LMP class 3 Lemans race cars and recently retired the VK50 and are currently running the VK56 out of the Nissan Titan.

And combined with the RAS( rear activate steer).tbh You have to drive this truck hard to notice the difference trust me. My truck done did some things SUVs shouldn't be able to do😂😂. Even in 2024 it's one of the best bargains.
I have an 09 fx50S with 268k miles on it, STILL runs strong, a blast to drive, has some features on it that are really surprising, one being the 4 wheel steering at all speeds. I've owned a LOT of vehicles, but the fx50 is DEFINITELY at the top of the list!! That side view camera comes in VERY handy when parking btw, i have 26 in wheels on mines (fit is perfect) and they help me with parking so I don't scratch them.

I had a modified '10 FX35 which I sold and bought a 2017 AMG GLC43. It is definitely FAST! but man miss the Infiniti! May need to go back to a FX50 next time but hate getting a much older vehicle.!
Great car review.I just brought an 07 M35x two weeks ago.Now I’m a Caddy/bmw guy at heart.Owned 2 devilles one fully loaded one entry level .That being said I had to get used to driving the v6(infiniti)again but man is it a fun sporty car to drive.Interior is beautiful car has nice rumble to it and I love the sound of the upshifts and downshifts while driving .Infiniti makes a nice product oh and I love that old infinity interior with the actual clock.Really gives the touch of distinction
I have a 2012 FX50S and I agree with you about the Blind Spots. I added mirrors on the side view mirrors to help. Also, I have a Front Facing Dash Cam and added a Rear View Dash Cam mounted over the stock Rear View Mirror that gives me a better rear view and improves the blind spots.

You can improve the body roll on corners by installing a front strut brace and changing the tire size to 275/65/21, which are slightly taller and wider than stock tires.

Thank you for watching! Both are great engines, and the V6 has plenty of power and a beautiful sound, but the V8 has much more torque and low end power and better acceleration figures. The V8's are very hard to find.

Absolutely! After this move, the brand went down. The FX was the best Infiniti produced in history of the brand, and one of the best SUV's ever made in general. I see the 2009's on the streets, and they look brand new. Their design is so unique, and so much better than much most 2023 models. The grilles, the stance, the headlights, they resemble a shark...and those 21" Enkei wheels are gorgeous. If Infiniti made this car today, it would sell like pancakes. Unfortunately, the market wasn't as SUV popular back then for this car to do well.
These cars are held back (basically neutered). Doesn't feel like a 400hp vehicle at all. They need to be unleashed! Too damn quiet, won't shift fast or give you instant power off the line. My wife's G37 feels livelier than my FX50. I like the car though. I have a 2013 and it looks brand new inside and it's pretty darn reliable. I even installed a Borla catback on it but Borla screwed me. The muffler on the catback is no more agressive than the stock one. I will tinker with the exhaust more and then get it Uprev tuned. I think I can wake it up!
@@DMCarReviews It simply doesn’t do what you ask it to do right away. There’s a slight delay. From a dead stop I can floor it and it’s like it has to ask you if you really want all the power. Sure it can do it once it gets going but there’s that slight delay. It does that when rolling too, floor it and it doesn’t downshift instantly. I also have a Nissan Titan and if you floor that thing it will burn the tires off the wheels. All hell breaks loose but the FX50…….not too much happens. But like I said, once I get the exhaust right, secondary cats deleted and tuned, I think it will respond better.

The downshift should come when you quickly depress the pedal 70% down.
