- Filmed on the 17th & 18th of April 2014 during the start of the Easter holiday period, this coastal bus journey passes through most major towns in the North Devon area.
I don't know who you are pilgrim, but I like this video. Ghostly feelings as you travel me back from Barnstaple to my birthplace of Northam. Living now in Apollo Bay, Victoria Australia for the past 36 years. Much obliged!
Brilliant ride along some very narrow and twisting Devon roads and through beautiful riverside villages. A real relaxing treat!
Excellent. And, in fact, a great piece of history, which will become increasingly interesting in the years to come.
Thanks, great memories of where I was born in Braunton. Left in 1960, now living in Perth, West Australia. Cheers.
21A is a unique bus route - it connects 3 harbours - Ilfracombe, Bideford, Appledore; 3 beaches - Wildersmouth, Instow, Westward Ho! 3 towns Ilfracombe , Barnstaple, Bideford; a gaggle of urban areas Braunton, Fremington, East the Water, Northam...best free day out for a silver twirler ...I do the round trip at least 2x per year.
Wow!! Good to know!
Incredible i didn´t know that!! Really amazing 3 Harbours, 3 beaches and 3 towns!! That´s something cool!
Thank you. My son stays in Braunton. Please add captions as I did not know one town from another. Hannes Nieman. South Africa

From Keith Jones drummer North Devon now retired to Cornwall. Travelled along these roads in group vans and cars from doing many many gigs over the years with lots of different musicians. A lot of late cold nights but always enjoyed the playing - off the road now and retired to Cornwall no more late nights. Still play drums but only in my home. But a blessed gigging time from the l960's -2012. There is a season for everything. God Bless (K.J.) Psalm 23. Google You Tube Keith Jones drum solo North Devon, filmed in the l980's.
Pole position....and if you have a bus pass, you could stay on the bus all day...for nix! Nicely done.
Fabulous scenery. That lane in Ilfracombe looked very narrow for a bus.
Hi great video. I always stay in Croyde but drive through all these areas when day tripping it brings back great but sad memories
The Houses look solidly built as if the weather's continuously cold. Is that so?
This is one of the warmest parts of the UK
Built to survive the storms and strong winds that hit this exposed part of North Devon. However its very warm in the summer.
@@sandpit72stop lying, you probably are a Tory
