This looks like one of those intentionally ironic music videos where a gang of strungout dudes turn up to play on a day time talkshow... except its reality
This bass player absolutely kills it. No, I'm not kidding. This guy nails it and is the fucking foundation of the flow. And Dando feels it and appreciates it. Noice.
I couldn't agree more with you, I think he is pure class! I believe his name is Bill Gibson. Aussie musician who used to be in a band called The Lime Spiders. But I only know him from his stellar performances during this Lemonheads era. :)
Man this show looks hella fun, and lemoheads were awsome. Its a shame i was only months old when this aired cause i would have loved to see this live. Now all i get on tv are shit shows with sob stories and "artists" without talent
I was flipping through channels the day this originally aired. I was like "why the f is Lemonheads on Jenny jones?". I get to promote the album but JJ.
Which just makes it seem all the more wild. They have the most upbeat and up lifting songs. Then it turns dark once you find out they are all about his drug habit
Wasted as fuck doing his buddy Holly impression looks like the impresson kurt cobain does in that film clip they shot in black and white lol. In bloom.
Wow, I like them, but this song is terrible. They sound like a bad bar band. JJ and the crowd were more or less mocking it at the end, which is...not good.
SuperFreedomRock the first song they played is one of my personal favorites but the latter one is meh. I wouldn't have chose that song to play on Jenny jones that's for sure haha
Totally not true, I know Evan. He didn't start getting high on anything other than booze n' bud, until the last touring cycle for "Ray". By then Atlantic records had kept him on the road for almost 2 years straight, so I can't blame him. He got clean again around the self-titled record, and has been clean since. You shouldn't spread vicious untruths about people you don't know and never will.
I’m about to celebrate my 68th birthday and can honestly say that this band has enriched my life for over three decades.
This looks like one of those intentionally ironic music videos where a gang of strungout dudes turn up to play on a day time talkshow... except its reality
dude I wonder what he's on? gotta be more than one thing

:)
High as a kite.
Yeah I love him but he looks like a goober haha.
Granny don't care she's jamming
love dancing grannie god bless her !one of my fav's can't believe it was 96 wow i'm old I could be dancing with grannie !
meanwhile - murph on drums hahaha awesome!
It would help America if all TV was like this.
You know it's a good tune when even grannies can't help but get up and dance *)
Little does she know its a song about being high on heroin
Wow that is one from the vaults. Hilarious! Check the Blag Flag hat and the dancing grandmother.
This is amazing! Oh good looking out Jenny, I saw them on 11/30/96 at the Roseland Ballroom! The legendary (well to me) John P. Strohm on g-tar!
Evan is clearly stoned out of his gourd
Looks like he spent so much time with Juliana H he finally decided to take on her hairstyle 🤣
If you look out into the studio audience, and you see an octogenarian dancing in the aisle, you too will probably feel the urge to whistle a solo.
The whistle solo is in the original version of the song.
Jenny Jones, holy shit I FORGOT that she existed
She does cooking videos on UA-cam now!
This is really great ! Thanks for posting . Dando is such a dork . i always like a guy who's this talented who doesn't take himself seriously .
my left ear love this
The 90's were a wild time
So I was not tripping when I had seen this
I met him at the shrine we had a lovely evening together.
This is a classic for sure.
In this particular video it is actually Bill Gibson from Eastern Dark...an Australian band.
Eastern Dark is an awesome band and I dig his backing vocals on this.
Granny liked the Lemonheads, as she should!!!
anyone else miss CD's?
Yes.
anto hall No. I miss vinyl.
I miss cassettes actually
@@goda161 Me too.
I miss cassettes and making mix tape days
Must be fun being young and in a band which is even just moderately successful ...Us against the World!
He is no longer young nor successful.
@@KadeBronsonhe's better than both of those he's a real artist
This should be the real music video for this song.
Man this show looks hella fun, and lemoheads were awsome.
Its a shame i was only months old when this aired cause i would have loved to see this live. Now all i get on tv are shit shows with sob stories and "artists" without talent
You what else is a shame? About Ray
Murph on drums!
Anyone know why Jenny had them as a music guest? I don't recall her ever having musical guests
1:43 Biggest Lemonheads fan ever.
I love a band who your grandmother can love too *)
So that actually happened, then?
That's right there's "No description available." Because I can't even begin to describe this. #WTF
this appearance resulted in over 200,000 extra album sales
Where did you get the statistic?
Geez, look at that Jazzmaster!!!!
They should've busted out the old catalog and played Second Chance...just to see the crowd's reaction.
The Amazing Grace cover...
@charlessale that is absolutely murph on drums. i saw the show in montreal within days of this performance. still one of my favourite shows.
Peak 90s!
This is good stuff
Ev, sweet young thang!
Bizarre!
1:42-1:47 gold!
Fun fun fun.
They look like they're performing for an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba.
No one knows John Strohm?
I do! Great guy.
Is that Murph on the drums?
I really love this lineup.
Metalheart333 at the masquerade?
I am surprised the Lemonheads would be on Jenny Jones. She usually had really cheesy music on her show, so this is a nice change,
I was flipping through channels the day this originally aired. I was like "why the f is Lemonheads on Jenny jones?". I get to promote the album but JJ.
@@wesleysteeleiv Watching a few episode was enough to confirm how bad talk shows were during the the 90s.
Cannot believe Evan did this !!!!!!!
@Paul Nye where did you get that stat?
Whistle solo!!!!
high as a giraffes ass 0:34
juliana was once in the band. they have to be good.
Black Flag
How many whiskies did they have to sink to do this show under those bare lights ....grannies digging the young Bucks!!
YOUR PLACE OR MEIN KAMPF? ;)
Now I'm giving the dog a bone ;))
Yes
@vivivalchaz he makes drug use seem so innocent
Exactly, which makes it even more dangerous.
@@duffbaker9554 very astute comment.
Which just makes it seem all the more wild. They have the most upbeat and up lifting songs. Then it turns dark once you find out they are all about his drug habit
surreal.... lol
Is this real?

oasis drumer?
Alex foppa Dinosaur Jr. drummer.
I didn't know Johnny Depp was the lead singer
Lol
Jenny Jones playing the straight man here, and the Lemonheads, in from another planet? Kind of messed up on... something.
Your place or Mein Kampf... Sorry bout dropping that lude... Great lyrics slipping past Jenny Jones.
Awesome band!!! Although the harmony vocals were hit and miss
Khmer rouge.
They needed a different manager.
he smoke not on water
funny as the washington redskins wanna be
Is Evan on MDMA here? That grin at the beginning was something
Wasted as fuck doing his buddy Holly impression looks like the impresson kurt cobain does in that film clip they shot in black and white lol. In bloom.

+SuperFreedomRock They're in on the joke. Apparently you're not.
SuperFreedomRock the first song they played is one of my personal favorites but the latter one is meh. I wouldn't have chose that song to play on Jenny jones that's for sure haha
Which means.....?
Since when do JJ and the crowd appreciate good music?
Swing and a miss
There has not been one moment of Evan's life when he has played sober. He is high for every performance and probably stays high 24/7. That's pathetic.
ACrackInTheWall2006 You're pathetic for caring about another man's life & vices.
Totally not true, I know Evan. He didn't start getting high on anything other than booze n' bud, until the last touring cycle for "Ray". What's more pathetic someone who gets high and plays great music, or you who criticise ?
