Thank you Andrew, it was a lightbulb moment for me, to understand that the image is what I want to make it, not to slavishly reproduce what is in my reference picture. I too have many, many mediocre photos taken around the world. Now I understand that they are only mediocre until I make into something special.
In my mind you are the best artist ever
Thank you so much for all the tips Andrew, sometimes I focus so much in the reference photo that I forget even about enjoying the process
great transformation from a pale, flat photo...takes courage to leave the reference photo as it can go horribly wrong. Your experience made it possible.
It's 6am in Fla, USA. Watching and listening to you . What a nice program to wake up to. Your voice is so soft and comforting.
Beautiful. As always Andrew. And yeah. This painting would look fantastic in a larger format! ❤
Id loved watching your videos since i started painting and i learned a lot from you sir
You are such an inspiration, Andrew! A consummate professional. And I love your little painting. Great result.
I can't even imagine how you can paint something that's not fair I can't seem to paint it if it is there much less if I have got to put trees that aren't there in green grass instead of brown you know that kind of stuff❤ just love your work love you videos love you personality love your teaching love everything about the way you do things the way you share. So on selfishly❤ love the painting , your colors are brilliant so is your creativity and talent❤ you produce some beautiful work!!!❤ God bless you, yours and your career❤❤❤
Wonderful work as usual; you are always an inspiration. Also, vouching for Blue Ridge Oil Paints, not only are they world-class paints, but Eric goes above and beyond to ensure them.
WoW that’s a beautiful work and your step by step guide is very helpful and generous ❤
Wonderful picture!!
Such a high quality production as always - Absolutely fantastic! Always get a surge of 'man I wanna paint!' after seeing your videos!
I love taking multiple references and pooling them together for one magnificent painting. It allows you the freedom to express something unique and not just an exact copy of the reference image.
I was worried for a sec, that the sheep would get lost in such a small paining, but as per your talent, you pulled it off!
❤
Positive thoughts can transform your world. Practice gratitude, focus on the good, and watch the positive energy flow into your life.
Love the season change you did. I have had problems painting from my photos but I’m getting better at seeing the end result, and taking better photos.
Thank you, a lesson I can use/needed. As I'm a slave to the reference pic
Great tutorial Andrew, thanks so much for sharing this!! Your painting is eye catching and very admirable! love it! hope you and the family are doing well! ' Love from The Netherlands .
addicted to your videos!!
Hi! Thank you! I always learn a lot from you. I find a bit of Naples yellow indispensible for painting sheep. Maybe they are just dustier in my part of the world, but it's a magic color to break stark white highlights and soften greens that might appear a bit plasticky in intense sunlight.
This video just tickles my brain💆
Thanks Andrew ....A very nice painting of Gorge Creek.. Welcome back :-) . It is very nice to have you living back in the area again.
I like this. So instead of simply following the reference photo utilise different angles and elements. Even change a few things to paint a unique landscape. 😊
An another inspirational video Andrew. This is a rerun for me. But that’s okay. Even with reruns we all still walk away with learning something new. Thank you for sharing your talents that inspire us to go and do the same. ❤
Beautiful I love our technique
Wow you have a new follower.
Masterful. Thank you for sharing these videos.
Great lesson. Thank you. I also appreciate the smaller-scale work.
Another masterful tutorial. Must have been on the same wavelength this week. Just painted a nice scene from Snowdonia national park with a few sheep, and my young Welsh apprentice loves it.
Stunning!
A delighful video as always Andrew. Its interesting how as an artist we have the power to change the scene from ordinary to extraordinary. Thank you for the continued inspiration - Paul 😃😃😍😍😎😎
Hi Andrew! Could you give some guide on how to take a good reference photo? I have trouble framing lanscape photos
Beautiful mate. Gives me an idea for something we could work on.
lovely painting.
Beautiful!
Awesome! Reminds me of my trip to Wanaka & Queenstown a while back. Andrew, do you let your sketch dry at all before starting the block-in? just wondering how you avoid creating a muddy mess like I seem to create.....
Gorgeous fall tones in those trees- I think you really nailed the right degree of render while maintaining the softness of the original blocking strokes as the image recedes into the background. Occasionally I wish you'd actually left some of your small paintings with a bit less sharp, fine detail- this is not one of them. Perfect.
very good painting,
As usual, your work is awesome and very inspiring. Love it. Think I will start a new one myself.
Hello Andre, your work is truly extraordinary. Can I ask what kind of shiny paint you use? For sketch brushes and for blocks, what penesing is different for. I have always been very happy d.
Shocked work
Very beautiful demo work sir 👌
Hello Andrew, I watched your video on how you prepare your canvas boards. Do you have a video for the linen boards as well? what kind of linen are you using? What are you covering it with before you start painting? I know , these are a lot of questions but I would love to see how you build these panels. Great painting, and you inspire my like always to get out of the box and use my artistic mind to create. Thank you!
E bello veder i tuoi capolavori e mentre dipingi
Realistic
Amazing
Always inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you Andrew 👍🏻
Hello brother, thank you for all.
God protect you.
I hope that I meet you one day.
❤❤❤❤. Thanks
Amazing work. The only thing I would do differently is the blue sky. It Should be nice and smooth. Get rid of the texture. ❤
Andrew conoces al pintor Tomás somercales inglés pero vivió en chile mucho tiempo? me recuerdas tu pinturas a este pintor
Sir ! I want to know from you how much time it took you to do this work.

Hi Andrew. I think you are the best painter. I would like to know is artificial intelligence has a big impact on your career. I love painting. I paint a lot. I am also realistic painter. My paintings are not so good for selling and I also don't know how to sell. But it's doesn't matter. Big Hi 👋
Good video.
But you forgot to answer the question in the title of your video.!
