Hear me out, the next thrift painting you get, scan it before you change it.
Then you can make a video where you do this, and post a link to the scan copy at the end, and subscribers can alter it their own way and send it to you.
Then in like 6 months time you can do a video featuring your favourite creations 😁

I wonder what jazza is able to do if he has as much time for a painting as he needs, not as his schedule has planned for him. I would absolutely look forward to a special videos where he stops the upload schedule for a week or two and takes his time for a true masterpiece, with concept, color and composition theory think-through, and all the finishing a painting needs like varnish, foundation, sketch and so on.
Tbh i think it would be great if the folks over on insert art had such spotlight-videos too, where they can take all the time they need. I hope it is worth the time someday! If it is for the money loss when temporarily stopping the schedule, i think many viewers (including myself lol) would love to buy (signed?) prints of the so-created masterpieces by the team, or merch in general like phone cases, sketchbooks, spiral bound books for school or university with gritted or lined paper, drinking bottles, maybe shirts... you get the idea.

It's a typical Bob Ross style painting. His tutorial tv shows were broadcasted worldwide, as you probably know, and it translatd into so many households having a painting with these 'happy' trees, a mountainous background and a calm river or two.
Bob Ross' original paintings were never sold. His collection is still intact and archived, owned by his relatives. I've seen his granddaughter, a middle aged woman now, explaining this on a documentairy about him. She said many people wanted to buy an original, but the family rather keep them.

While the art piece turned out good and transforming an outdoor nature scene into an underwater one is a fun and interesting challenge, I find it really sad that so much of the original piece is lost. The only thing that remained was maybe the composition of the plants, but they were painted by Jazza so really nothing of the original artists piece is shining through the thick blue layer. This challenge should be about enhancing existing art, not completely overpainting and changing it. And it was such a beautiful piece too, just adding slight changes to it would have been so much better and more respectful to the original arrist. That being said, the other painting with the fire and paint splatters added to it turned out so so good and the burned edge looks amazing! Good job on that one :)

While in grad school in the 80s , A number of students and myself were encouraged by a professor to "re-do" thrift store paintings. I would usually opt for nonrepresentational directions. Many were satisfying. Some were collected by the professor in which we would trade artworks. After graduating I would accompany the department professors as they cut locks from unvacated lockers and I'd grab large prints and "fix" them. Needless to say, the professor loved them and kept many of them, and I added more of his work to my collection. 😊

Burning the border of the paint was a great idea. Brought it all together really nicely

They're dead, and the paintings are a dime a dozen types of paintings. At least he is doing creative stuff.

I just think it’s amazing how you can take an amazing painting and make it even better but still keeping bits and pieces of the original in the new painting

Jazza you're so amazing. I have always loved art and thought of it as an escape from reality. I entered the faculty this year to major in animation. You inspire me all the time and your videos are so creative. Tysm for pushing the ,,artist" in all of us.

From the fishing gentleman’s (lack of) reaction, I feel that Jazza gleefully streaking about the landscape, flinging fire and paint and general chaos in all directions willy-nilly, is a common occurrence in this little painted universe.

Clap, cheer, fannntastic ! It was a dispointed groan when you went with underwater and when you put solid blue, but the idea and vision fit when you finished. Watching this style of painting inspires me and when i grow up i want to paint like that. I think anyone with humor wants to see the image live on as you did with the grans picture the other option was waste/landfill and that would have a true loss. Keep it up i watch with laughter.
