It will only make it less safe for criminals.

It’s funny that the people who have personal security don’t think anyone else should have protection!
That's because those people who have personal security want to have a monopoly on the use of force against those who disagree with them.

Exactly. But these people are brainwashed just like 1984 they think that “Freedom is slavery.” They somehow think that the government controlling our lives more means we’ll be more free and safer, and to that I say just look at how that’s worked out in history…..
Most of the people who are mad are only mad cause they're sex offenders who can't legally own a gun.
It effectively decriminalizes Americans that carry regardless of the law … acting on their inalienable right to keep and bear arms. This is a good day.
That is what democrats have bred into their base. Learned helplessness, fear, and dependence on government protection. Even when a situation like Uvalde happens where it should have been pretty damn clear government protection is less reliable than a 20 year old glock 19 on your hip, they still want to be governed harder.
Law abiding citizens will no longer have to ask the government permission to practice their constitutional human rights. Sounds good to me. 👍

I don’t own guns don’t care either way. But we all know the majority of gun crimes aren’t committed by legal gun owners
As a demographic, CCW holders commit crimes at a rate less than police officers. As a legal gun owner who is almost 40, I've never so much as been to the drunk tank, let alone arrested. Because I don't commit crimes. Neither do any of my gun owning friends. We would like to live in peace, but recognize that reality is not the utopia we'd prefer. And so, we keep firearms the same way we keep fire extinguishers - at the ready and hoping we never have to use them.

Good ruling. It is absolutely not the government's place to tell anyone what they "need" or require someone to demonstrate a "need" to carry a firearm in public. NO constitutional right has anything to do with "need".
@Chuck Mos
Yes exactly. This was wrongly allowed to stand for so long because in 1867, the then Deep State entrenched Burocrats feared equality for millions of former Negro slaves,Confederates, American Indians etc.
So these Deep State entrenched Burocrats, concocted up a nefferious conspiracy, a plan finding a way to suspend the Bill of Rights from applying to all parts of America.
By reapplying the Bill of Rights from the states to be; "Reserved" to the Federal government until each Amendment is challenged in a Supreme Court test case.
If the case is won then the Court will vote to "Incorporate" the said Amendment's protections back to the states. ( See the "Incorporation Doctrine").
So from 1867 to 2010 the 2nd Amendment was not valid to the states. Itcwas " Frozen". Thats how the infamous arbitrary Sullivan Act of 1911 was able to stand all these years.
Think about the loss of good peoples lives, legal troubles and corruption, since 1911!
It was said that in order to get a carry license a person would often pay off a NYPD Captain, who would be the Commander of a Precinct.
This is an awesome historical moment for being able to excersize our Inalienable Right to Kerp and Bear Arms to be able to preserve life.

I've had my CCW, from both MN & ND, for year's, which allows me to carry through every state on my trips to NJ, except for NJ. With out of state plates, I know I'll be asked about "weapons" if I happen to be pulled over in NJ. It puts me in a very difficult position, I don't want to get locked up, lose my job, my family, etc..... but I don't like driving through 6 different states with my family unprotected. This will finally solve the problem.
You need a gun that bad ..
@Everything's Eventual how would I lose my job and family you ask ?? By mandatory 3 year prison sentences doled out in states like NJ for carrying a gun. My CCW's are valid in 40 states up to now. But not in NY or NJ. These states have mandatory jail sentences for bringing a gun into these states. So going to jail for several years would cost me my job and family. Lastly, I'd be convicted of a "felony" which I cannot have on my record or I'd lose my job. I fall under the Federal Government and cannot have ANY felonies. Shit. I can lose my job for a DUI, so a gun felony is a definitive "good bye job".

She goes and gets her Pennsylvania CCW. Gets pulled over leaving work for a minor traffic infraction (no turn on red). She voluntarily told the NJ police officer she had a handgun and a permit CCW. She didn't know it's not valid in NJ, no reciprocity. She sat 60 days in jail, lost her two kids, and was looking at a 3 year sentence. Only after it garnered a lot of public attention from the NRA and other gun rights groupd, and the media picked up on it, did the Governor step in and give her a "pardon", though she still had a record. NJ residents were commenting how she should NOT have gotten off, should've gone to jail, as they want pe to know "how tough on guns NJ is".
Maybe in NY you can get away with it, but NJ is different.
I can post numerous incidents of innocent people getting screwed in NJ. When Hurricane Sandy happened, you had powerline guys from all over Southern States, GA, SC, NC, FL, etc.... driving up to help NJ out restore power and being locked up because they had a firearm in their vehicle.
Even if you fly into Newark, Kennedy, or LaGuardia airports and "check" your firearms properly. You can be, and many have been, arrested as soon as they collect their bags for bringing a firearm into these cities / state's. I'll gladly post the links. Even famous people have been arrested. As a Texan, trust me when I say, you will love the feeling of security and safety when you carry. It’s also a feeling of freedom. Criminals sure aren’t happy about this ruling today.
They still have to ask permission with an unconstitutional permit though
As someone who shot my first gun at 18 months and got my first gun as a gift before age 3, it really encourages me to hear this news. What people don’t understand is that all responsible parents WILL teach their children - YOUNG - how to shoot guns safely and responsibly - they will NEED IT!

More Guns for Citizens = Safer society.
I was born in Nigeria where only the police, military and armed robbers have guns. Criminals operate with impunity because they know civilians will not be armed. My brother is a cop over there. Two years ago 4 armed men broke into his house. They had no idea it was a cops house. My brother only had 7 rounds in his 9mm. He lazily left his AK 47 and shot gun in the car outside. He could not engage them round for round so he just wait d for them to try and come upstairs. One came up the stairs casually not expecting resistance. My brother shot him in the head and he ran back downstairs and died in the kitchen. The other three ran out of the house the way they came. As they climbed the fence to flee the compound, he shot two more. Only one escaped. My brother went outside and made sure the two he shot were dead. One more shot for each head. These robbers never expected this to happen. It was supposed to be easy.
That’s how it should be. Instant karma.
I teared up reading this story. Thanks---I needed that.
How did the 4 armed robbers escape the pack of hyenas that were in the yard?

When my Guard unit was activated to protect First Amendment rights of police violence protesters in St. Louis, MO, we were instructed in the legal brief that under no circumstances were we permitted to harass or accost anyone open-carrying a weapon during protests. It is the law in Missouri that conceal carry is permitted without the need of a license. We would only respond if fired upon. That is the commitment to civil liberties that we swore to uphold by protecting the Constitution, along with the risks that entails, but we're held to a higher standard. I know of no other right that requires you to be licensed in order to exercise it. I need not justify my freedom to practice any faith - a liberty defended by implicit (and state sanctioned) use of arms. Grow up.
Since when is law enforcement boldly protecting civil liberties?!? What planet is this again???

SUPREME COURT STANDS TALL TODAY! LOVE IT!
Supreme Court is wrong on this one and has just opened the door for more gun violence.
would someone please explain to me how allowing me to carry a defensive weapon will make me less safe.
You see, to them, the gun is an evil thing. And being they lack the discipline and understanding that a firearm is a tool, nothing more, nothing less, they believe everyone else lacks what they never have the mind to take into account. They'd be mortified to have to defend themselves, so YOU must not be strong enough either. To them, if something is too scary to do, then you shouldn't be able to do it either.
Think of the biggest jerk you know. Someone who's just nasty. Maybe they yell a lot, maybe they act menacing then laugh when people are scared. They are allowed to carry a weapon too. Feel safer?
@@Windona I do. Who’s to say they don’t just carry it anyways, whether legally or illegally. Most criminals that carry a gun illegally is already prohibited from doing so. Most homicides are done by a convicted felon between 94%-98% yearly. More fascist gun control does nothing but empower the criminal element, those on the streets and those elected.
Yeah so you meet a homeless guy on the street. He asks you for money. You get scared and point your gun at him. But you're slow and never been in a fight your whole life. The homeless guy is desperate. He takes your gun in like 5 seconds. He points it at you and shoots. Game over
