My dog is terrified of fireworks, yet she was unable to "escape" because she's kept in the house with us. As her human guardian, it's OUR job to keep them safe and secure. There are NO reasonable excuses for a lost pet, nor not having him/her microchipped. The only pass I could possibly give is someone who may be unhoused and their dog isn't property secured.
So sad. I hope all of the dogs find their people. ❤
For those with pets without microchip, you better do so before they get lost and after the Aug law.
