I can’t express how much I appreciate this recipe. My Aunt Anna died over 20 years ago. I would always spend 2 weeks every summer at her house when I was young and she would always make this cake and I loved it. I’ve tried so many recipes over the years and have never been able to replicate that recipe. This recipe has brought me back to that wonderful time and memories of her. It’s absolutely delicious, thank you again.

I made this last week. My sock it to me cake needed work😂. I baked it too long so it was a too done and I think it needed a little more sugar. Plus it was more dence than I wanted it to be. I need more practice with this one. I usually use a box cake for the sock-it-to-me (that's how my mom did it) so it's more cake like than pound cake like. I might try your butter cake recipe with the streusel instead of the pound cake. But it was sure pretty! It was a beautiful looking cake! I was still proud of it! I've never been a great Baker and I'm doing good with your recipies. German chocolate is happening today! ❤️
