    omg you actually did it, so cool that you tried it out. I think stopping the music fits better for learning and memorizing stuff. Really nice!
    Also this content is top notch! I can always surprise my gf with these "native" things that you don't find in the textbook and she'll be very shocked. "How do you know that??" haha

    Great, very informative, good examples. Just to let you know though, slang is a non-count noun (and therefore cannot really be pluralized) in English and really should be 'slang expressions' - you'll sound better if you say that at least once in a while.

      I’m conscientious in creating funny way of teaching Chinese. I hope it can help those who want to learn Chinese.
      Chinese characters still retain their pictographic origins. Knowing what the characters look like originally can help understand the meanings and remember them.
      I’ve spent about 100,000 hours studying English humor and Western culture, and many years studying Chinese culture and jokes. My native language is Chinese.

    Oops, I read "Top 10 must-know Chinese songs", but great video nonetheless. Btw in one of your earlier videos where you explained the lyrics of Yi Jian Mei, I requested for your top 10 traditional Chinese songs list. Do you think you could do that? It's my humble request, I'd love to watch that. Thanks for considering.
    P.S. If it's not too much trouble could you please give me the name of this [ ua-cam.com/video/zsfWpISP7nI/v-deo.html ] song, It's really catchy and I've searched for nearly a week now but no matter what I'm not able to find it because the words are not clear.

      Besides yi jian mei, I only recognized three songs in this video. #1 你那里下雪了吗 #3 小草 and the last one is 在那桃花盛开的地方

      @@keystochinese0921 Thanks for replying, I bet you won't believe this but just a couple of hours back after reaching the end of my rope . I posted this video on r/namethatsong and the person who helped me named the three songs that you just mentioned - the same 1,3 and 7. Talk about coincidence :D

      But I really thank you for taking time out of your day trying to help me. Love your videos and no pressuree but I'll keep coming back until the day you decide to make a top 10 song list :P

    Very helpful video! I watched a drama where I think 怂 was written as 尸+从 (I can't even type this character). Is it the same thing?

    • @keystochinese0921
      @keystochinese0921  3 роки тому +1

      Are you sure the character you saw was not 屁 (pi with the fourth tone, meaning fart and can be translated as bullshit when used alone in a colloquial conversation)?
      尸 and 从 do not form a character.

    • @SR-kh6yq
      @SR-kh6yq 3 роки тому

      @@keystochinese0921 Yes, I think I'm remembering correctly. The phrase was something like 你太song了! And this song character was written in a weird font, that's why I noticed it. Maybe it's a regional variant? If you google "尸 从 song" you can find sites that talk about it, though I can't really understand what they're saying :)

    • @keystochinese0921
      @keystochinese0921  3 роки тому +2

      I did a little research and consulted my book editor friend. 尸 + 从 is actually the CORRECT form and TV subtitles carefully follow the correct form from the most authoritative dictionary (Xiandai Hanyu Cidian). However, in real life, people use 怂,and the correct one (尸 + 从) could not even be found when typing. Similar example is word "mango" 芒果 (the CORRECT form is 杧果, but nobody uses this form though). It's like that some grammar error people always have in their speaking and over time it becomes the "norm". I hope I answered your question.
