      You should watch and react to the making of this film. Honestly. This is one of the best casted films I have ever scene. Every actor/actress was brilliant. Even the bad guys (Percy and Wild Bill) if you get an audience to hate you, you did your job. You should watch how it all came together. Try something different. NOt too many people react to what went on behind the scenes of films.

    Tom Hanks' character lived out in the country. It was the mid-1930s. Indoor plumbing wasn't a common thing. People used outhouses back then.

    The reason John was so big is because no normal man could bare the full burden of the gift notice he was dog tired after each time he used it and notice he was tired after del was executed because John took the pain away from del's soul it was just his body dieing in the chair when Paul showed the woman the mouse it was 64 years old and in the end the glimpse of Paul all dressed up walking down the hall he out lived the nursing home him and the old woman was in he was the last to leave Everytime I watch this movie I find more and more little details that I've missed this movie never gets old

    It seemed you missed the connection that the old man is an older Tom Hanks and he has a UTI. (You did make the connection at the end). I'm sure they are not having sex because of UTI. People don't HAVE TO BE THERE during the execution. They volunteer to be there. He had to go outside to the bathroom because back in the day many places did not have indoor toilets. He is heading for the outhouse. Right when you were saying that the worst thing you can do is spit on another man, that guy started pissing on the guard. Personally I think pissing is worse than spitting. Moon pie to the face is not great either. It's death row, none of them are leaving except getting executed. I also think you missed the fact that John "felt" the pain of the guy that was executed without the wet sponge. Yeah, the wife is "real sick". She "had" a brain tumor and "was" going to die. You also missed the fact that Percy was admitted to the same mental hospital where he was supposed to be getting a job, after leaving death row. Did you realize that the movie he watched at the end was the same movie that old Tom Hanks was crying about at the beginning? You may want to pay more attention to the movie instead of talking so much, especially since you repeat the same thing over and over again anyway.

    • @GoVandals0605
      @GoVandals0605 7 місяців тому +3

      In the first 5 minutes you didn't even track that the old guy said he was in charge of death row and had the worst UTI of his life...... Then we see DEATH . ROW. and a guy who can't pee without pain.
      There's no way you're going to track the supernatural stuff to come.
      Glad you showed me how inattentive you can be and showed me early. I can tap out now.

      We truly don't know how old John is, it alluded to seem he just appeared out of the sky. Even John said he was tired of wandering, being by himself, not knowing where he was going to be time to time. You have to realize that he said he was tired, he felt the ugliness of the world personally upon his divine lifeforce, this was 1935 to 36, all the leaders that were in power for WW2 to kick off were in place now, the toll it would of took on him.

    I like this dude. Good reaction channels are hard to come by lately. So many reactors seem to be more interested in talking about themselves and talking over the film dialogue, or showing that they've never progressed beyond a 14 year old mentality. Or they insist on letting their audience know what an astute film critic they are, by constantly talking about the lighting, the character's dialogue, the background shots.This dude isn't silly but is still funny. It's sometimes hard to strike that balance but he's got it down.

    It's sadly inspired by the real case of George Tilley Jnr who at the age of 14 was sentenced to death by electric chair for the sexual assault and murder of two little white girls in the 30's. This poor skinny little boy was arrested kept from his parents, bullied and forced into a confession At the time of the murders George was working on the family farm with his sister. But sadly he was taken to court where it took an all white jury just 6 hours to sentence him to death with a date of execution to be one year later. He was completely cut off from his family. When it came to the execution they had to put books underneath him to make the chair fit this very small boy . IHis family never stopped fighting for him even after his death they fought for his name. It would come up in tge news through the years which is how Stephen King read about it but it was until the Innocence project took the case and he was cleared in 2014.

This is the final part of their life they have been found guilty already of murder that's why they are here on the Green Mile they are not waiting to be tried they already went through the trials and have been found guilty already. Much respect to you, but you missed out on a lot of information in the beginning of this movie. And it's showing.

  • @TheTriumphbsa

    I like how so many things were up in the air, then they answered all the questions as the last half of the movie progresses; like the movie john watched was the movie that triggered Pauls crying as an old man 60 years later. Wasn't too shocked that the supernatural was a part of this movie as it was written by Steven King, though he played it straight in his other prison blockbuster Shawshank Redemption. John had no chance from the beginning. Being a black giant with two bloody girls in his arms in 1935 Alabama, he probably would have just been shot right then,. As it was, I think the trial was just a formality, those people didn't give the benefit of the doubt easily at all to black folks in general back then, unfortunately. His lawyer didn't really care either, comparing John, as a black man, to a dog that bit his son. Paul and his crew were certainly the exception; but Percy got everything he deserved. So sad that Paul, the best of all the guys, saw his extended life as punishment. I wonder with just a tiny part of the power in Paul; how long do you think John, with all the rest of it, would have lived?

    • @rollotomassi6232
      @rollotomassi6232 Рік тому +1

      @@rollotomassi6232
      Good call; I hadn’t thought about how long he was there BEFORE. I just figured he ‘appeared’ in that time with his purpose. Maybe punish Percey so he couldn’t do something he was going to later. Perhaps it was solely to help the wardens wife survive, or show the other officers there is power in the world , who knows? Maybe to also extend Pauls life with a hidden purpose he fulfills in a later time. There are certainly enough correlations with biblical references. His referencing the angels, and his initials, J.C. …. . Any movie that makes one think beyond it is a winner, and this was a great one! Among all their accomplishments, just a couple of fun facts from the amazing cast: the Trustee Toot-Toot that did the execution practices, was one of the two engineers from the original Alien movie. The young officer, dean, was the sniper from Saving Private Ryan, etc.

    Biblically speaking, all death & disease is a result of sin entering the world, in the garden of Eden., bringing a curse on mankind & the earth itself. John is what you call a "sin-eater". He has a supernatural, angelic power, of ingesting & extracting someone else's sickness associated with either specific sin, or just sin in general, & then releasing it. Flies are symbolic, & a sign of sin, sickness, curse, & death...

      @theresataylor6675 I have no idea what YOU mean exactly by saying it's a very "hood" movie... UNLESS that was a typo and you meant to say it's a very GOOD movie which it absolutely is. TRUST ME it's very accurate and it STILL holds up to today's standards in part of this country. MANY people are very unaware of how things work and how much hasn't changed from the past. WE DO STILL HAVE CHAIN GANGS JUST SO YOU KNOW! I'M AN INTERNATIONAL PRISONER AND HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCATE FOR 38 YEARS! I deal with EVERY LEVEL of the system. THAT MEANS from my juveniles TO my people on Death Row, and my ladies on death row in Uganda. BOTH the men AND the women of Death Row who people forget about since they are a hidden segment of the prison system in general~but definitely when it comes to Death Row. That's because since most of the Death Row community is made up predominantly of men, people forget there are actually women on The Row. So when it comes to this movie there's a lot to unpack here and as an advocate it holds up. It's one of my favorites for that fact, and for many other reasons it stands up. #2XAmnestyIntlAwardWinner

    Adogg, it's NOT a "RAT" it's only a little MOUSE. It's NOT "the SAME THING." There IS a DIFFERENCE!! LOL! RATS are BIGGER, a MOUSE is tiny. A MOUSE does NOT grow into a RAT. An adult MOUSE can range (from tip of nose to tip of their tail) from FOUR & 3/4 INCHES to just under 8 INCHES long, plus they have a TRIANGULAR shaped HEAD which is much SMALLER than their BODY. A MOUSE also has a POINTY nose and TINY black eyes. RATS can be as much as 16 - 18 inches long (including their tails). A RAT'S NOSE is more BUNT and ROUNDED ( again, a MOUSE'S NOSE is pointy) A RAT has COARSER FUR which may be BROWN, GRAY, BLACK, or RED in color. RATS can weigh from 1/2 POUND to 1 POUND .....but a MOUSE will weigh between TWO - FIFTHS (2/5ths) to FOUR - FIFTHS (4/5ths) OUNCES. That is VERY SMALL and LIGHT compared to a RAT'S size and weight. SO SEE, They are DEFINITELY NOT "the SAME." NOW you KNOW the DIFFERNCE between a MOUSE and a RAT. 🙂

      Also, mice are not very social with people. Rats make amazing pets and can be trained much like dogs. They're very smart and probably the cleanest of the small animal pets. Mine were leash trained.

      @marleinasmom I used to walk around with mine in my shirt pocket or on my shoulder. Great pets. Too bad they don't live as long. Mice can be social too, but the males spray like male cats, so they stink.

      I @marleinasmom my first rat was JUST like a dog. She came to being called, she'd come on walks with us, if she got too tired she'd either run up my leg or go home, I'd get back and she would be waiting on the doorstep. Amazing pets, can't rate them highly enough xx

    You talked right over him telling the lady in the home how the year John Coffey came to the green mile he had the worst urinary tract infection of his life. That's why he said he felt like he was pissing razor blades.
    Percy did know the sponge was supposed to be wet, he just wanted to see what would happen and also to torture Del. They couldn't turn it off because it would be worse for him to be alive like that.

    Calling someone a sissy is just our nice way of saying the guy acts like a little girl. We didnt ise it like it isnused today. Sissy was a very popular word used anytime a boy cried you were called a sissy. Then the gay community went and made it have a different meaning than originally kinda like the rainbow. We used to see the rainbow everywhere no problem then the gay community decided to make it theor flag. So keep in kind when seeing older movies we used the certain words that one way or another now mean different something else. Hell back then being gay just meant happy that is the actual definition of the word gay is to be happy that is all it orginally means.

    When they tell a Man "Its going to be alright" or "You will be fine" before their execution it is to calm the man's fear that he won't handle it like a man, that he won't be brave and oddly enough those reassuring words do help. As a side note - While I liked watching this with you, the reason you so often asked what was going on is because you were talking over the explenation in the movie about what was going on or about to happen so you missed it and were left wondering.

    Dude, you know that you don't have to speak every thought that pops into your head? You could at least pause the video instead of talking over important dialog. And, then you narrate to us what is obviously happening on screen. Is this what you do when you go to a walk-in movie? You know what, a person never learns anything by listening to his own voice.
