I actually made a video on this already! I will attach the link to this comment so you can watch it! Link to “Connect a 8Bitdo Micro Controller to Anki: Mac Edition through Contanki” ua-cam.com/video/p2QKvHTd_PQ/v-deo.html
Hi thanks for the video! Are you able to change the settings for the direction buttons? I use the controller with one hand so I want to move scrolling up to the right button instead of the up button and etc. but when I change the setting on Anki it doesn’t change its action. However the Anki settings do work for other buttons.
Hey Asd Asd thanks for watching the video and glad it was of some use! I personally have not tinkered with the scroll bottons yet for Anki Mobile but I will definitely experiment with a new method of mapping out the 8BitDo Controller to Anki iOS Edition! I think it can be done with the 8BitDo Controller Mapping Software. I will explore this more and potentially make a video on it as well if I can get a good guide going so be sure to subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so already in order to stay updated on that end! Either way I'll be sure to link the software, be sure to have a great rest of your day/night and good luck studying as always! Hey I have never used Procreate but I do recall the 8BitDo Micro being advertised to work with artist applications. Think you need to set the device to the Keyboard Mode and use the 8BitDo App on the iPhone to map it to work with Procreate. Hope this helped you out!
Hey Im currently working on a method to do this through the 8BitDo Ultimate Software. I will try to have the video up soon on it, but short answer is yes it is possible, you just have to use the K mode and remap your controller through that software on your iPhone. I will leave a link in the comments so you can install it on your iPhone. Link to 8BitDo Ultimate Software: apps.apple.com/us/app/8bitdo-ultimate-software/id1532713768
Test it out and see if it will show up with the S mode on your PC or other device first. If it does show up that way on other devices there might be a problem with your iOS device's Bluetooth discoverability. If that is all fine, then try connecting another Bluetooth device to your iPad. If your iPad can detect those other devices properly then there is definitely a major issue. My suggestion would be to restart the iPad and to completely power-up the 8BitDo Micro. Then try doing these steps and hopefully it will work. I am not sure on this front, but you may also want to test a USB C to USB C wired connection if your iOS device has a USB C port. Hope this helps and if you have further issues feel free to contact me again. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't done so if this helped you out! Thanks, good luck studying, and hope you have a great rest of your day/night!
Thank you so much this video helped me so much! Can you do a video for connecting it to MacBook.
