- Journey - moments of traveling.
Total travel time: 9 months.
Countries visited: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru.
In 2013 I went on my first long trip outside of Europe to Asia. During these moments of traveling I captured some memories on a simple Sony Nex-5N camera. Honestly I didn't really know what I was doing back then (so forgive me for the shaky crappy footage), but now - 3 years later - it was about time to make 'something' out of it.
Combined with more recent footage of a trip through South America (shot on a Sony A6000), I've made a short collection of memories and adventures through Asia and South America. Overall I really enjoyed making this video and it was fun to learn some new techniques and tricks. I can't wait to go on my next journey and learn even more about the art of film making and editing!

I agree with a previous comment. Thought it was just going to be another travel video.....and then I just kept on watching ...and watching......
Rarely do I watch a travel video of this length. But once I started I watching, I stayed until the end and was thoroughly hooked on the places you visited. Very nice footage and edits!
I just saw this video recently and I can say no matter which equipment are you using, the best results depends mostly of what head is behind this work. Amazing job!

Quick a6000 questions any overheating or rolling shutter issues??? My a6300 has both conditions
to deal with. Best of luck in your production work, cheers....
Hi Craig, the A6000 does suffer from Rolling shutter (as does the A7x series btw). No overheating issues, I think the overheating issues for the A6300 are fixed with the firmware update.
amazing video can you tell me about your lens ?
i love it!!!
Thank you!

Rainstaaar thank you! :)
LOOKS Good
Thanks :)
How did you export this? Like which settings in Adobe or FCP because whenever I post on my instagram the video quality changes?
Yes instagram / UA-cam / Facebook are known to to be decreasing the video quality quite a bit. Just export it to H264 with a proper bitrate and that's all you can do from your side.
Hi. Your shots and editing are amazing!!!! I was wondering which waterproof housing you purchased
Melanie Son that was a gopro ;)
Which lens have you used on the A6000 for the shoot?
nice video! what creative style your using?
setting kamera nya sprti apa mas ? picture style dan color gradingnya make lut kah ?
Really beautiful film ! And good sequence shots !
Did you use a steadycam or something like that ? The pictures are so fluid !
Hi there! Only the South America part I used a glide cam for some shots.
amazing!
Great Shots!
Amazing travels and film!
1 question: the cc look like a LuT, not a simple teal&orange. It's made by yourself or is downloaded?...Thank u and keep going!
Giuseppe Sensolini im asking the same question
Hi! It's a LUT indeed, together with some extra correction. Not sure which one it was honestly.
Like your video, nice transitions! Did u using a flat pictreprofile and color grade your video? Wich settings (contrast, saturation, sharpnes)?
BenKes the a6000 has no really good dedicated video profiles. I turned most down to -3 and graded in post
Gesta travels Thanks! Can u make a tutorial video, how you do your post. Some tips and tricks for color correction, sharpness and grading. This would be verry nice! 🖒
That's one great adventure, man! If ever you're looking to more adventure this year, check out the Thriver website. They got an amazing program to work and travel around the world.
wooowwwwwww
yo this is sick, how did you do those snap zoom/cuts like at 0:55 or 0:45??
great work dude love the style of filmmaking, what kind of editing did you use?
Hi, thanks! Not sure what you mean, but it's mostly just natural cuts, matching frames based on color, movement, objects etc.
HOW. Did you put your a6000 in the water?!?
In what resolution was it recorded?
love your music.. where do u find them?
Nice!!!!
Which video settings did you use? (Framerate, Shutter speed, etc.)
25p and 50p for a few slomos. Shutter speed always double of the frame rate (so 1/50 for 25p and 1/100 for 50p)
Awesome video! What color profile did u use?
Thanks! I think it was a neutral profile, with sharpness, contrast and saturation all on -3 to get a bit of extra dynamic range.
Wahhh,, di indonesia i like
So awesome! Can you recommend the Sony a6000? and how did you stabilize your shots?
Hi! Yes it's a great camera. I'm using the Gh5 now, though. Stabilised with a glidecam
Gesta travels thanks for your answere! Do you think you NEED a steadycam or a gimbal when Shooting with the a6000?
Nobody Productions no, but a stabilised lens is recommended as the a6000 has no internal stabilisation
did you have any overheating problems with it ?
Nope
What Len do you use? thank you
did u use external microphone? your videos r great!
