- Triple monitor setting for Automobilista 2 was my biggest problem for years and there was a fix I didn't know about till last night!

It’s funny cause most of the time people do the opposite. Use paddles for a sequential shift car. Or paddles for an hour pattern car. I understand most people just have paddles, but I love matching my shifter to the car.
@@jackcraters1425 I love shifting with SQ but in this case I just have to do it for 2 weeks and see how that shifter will perform after thousand klick cycles before I open it and check what going on inside and make video about it 😁

Crazy that this video came up just now. I was having the same issues after moving my monitors for a full 180 FOV and I found the same video you did. Yes, it is math, but well worth it to have a proper view. Now everything is aligned. 😀

Great Advise, RBM. And strangely, the people who would understand your sentiment in this video the most, are the "high end" musicians. This is because when a beginner starts playing any instrument, a common question is "how do I get better". And other musicians will often say you learn a bit of this, and a bit of that / you take in a bit of this, and a bit of that, then slowly over time you start to develop your own style. The musicians that struggle to get to the highest levels, are the ones that say I only want to play in this "style", and don't want to bother with any other style. But musicians like the guitarist Eddie Van Halen will take advise from ALL forms of music, and turn that info into his own style. So your advise about never having a closed mind to advise, even when you think you finally know it all - is a great way to always be open to learning - just like those very best musicians never stop growing or learning either ; )))
I watch a lot lately the Drumeo on UA-cam and I’m blown away way how those top drummers like Chad Smith and other dive in completely different music and play it like is there own genre 😃
It is crazy how our brain functions and how easy we can decide we know everything 🙈

Very cool :) I have very little time to race, and I basically only/always find myself going around Oulton Park in AMS2, so I always love seeing people race it. I don't have triples yet, but it's good to know this has a solution, since I'm also easily bothered by fov / alignment details not being correct.
Oulton and Donnington are a couple of my faves!
After Nordschleife, all British tracks are my next favorite and Oulton Park is like a little green hell 😁

You just helped to TTR go high on views! And it is superb as they deserve every bit of cent! What is ridiculuos i always was doinf this bezzel correction in nvidia surround, press apply, but never chose corrected bezzel resolution, damn, it such good lesson when you think you smart, thinkn twice😂 bro you are a legend already, and i already divorced with Lawrence, Boosted media etc money makers:) i know they arw good guys, but reviews are... i will keep my opinion by myself, but not all people are stupid and they have thei communities and understand what reviewers sometimes are not telling! I’m not going to lie, when you said ignorance is bliss I totally related because I’ve been having this problem for well over a year now, and I just haven’t really gave it too much thought or attention because I felt like there was definitely something wrong with the game. I’m going to check out that video and make it on mine to do list because it does take away quite a bit of the emerge if it’s not lined up perfectly, thank you for this informative video.

That looks absolutelly perfect! I will watch the video as I have the same problem at the moment. What angle are you using with your screens? Are they curved?
Definitely man, the formula is working and you you use 32 inch 1440p monitors you can just use his numbers and will work perfectly!
My angle is 50 degrees!
If you use bezel free kit like me, you can just add negative value in the bezel settings which for my case was -0.12 for all bezel measurements!
@@chepilevski you read my mind, that's exactly what i was looking for. And I see he also answered around curved monitors and just ignore the curve in the measurements, this is really great. Your video looks amazing, now it looks like AMS2 is the sim you have with best alignment of all lol.
@@jufejufinho that’s exactly man 😁 for years I hated that aspect thinking the game is wrong and end up to be the best for triple screen alignment but there was no way could figure out the way to it 🤣
By the way, I just tried displayed magician and its insane how easy you can save different setups for your monitors, so you can have one for corrected fov, one for normal fov, one for single monitor, etc. And you switch between them with one click. Try it if you havent yet.

Curious to know what it was, or why it got disconnected in the first place.
I sometimes experience similar issues with an AC running off from the same power socket, when it kicks in - I lose USB connections.
That was because my usb hub has fallen on top of the power supply of the DD base !
One think you can try is to pull the power supplies fare from the PC and hubs

@@chepilevski awesome brother, what’s your thoughts on the BMW compared to the other sims? I found the sound of the car the be better and more exciting but a little bit fake. The transmission whine seems to be way overdone
@@alexkayracing most of the cars sound bad to my ears to be honest in AMS from inside! I don’t know why but they sound like totally different from what is expect🙈
The BMW from handling is close to what I expected from this car as it doesn’t like to turn under braking and doesn’t rotate at all in coasting but only in acceleration.
It is just like the BMW on iRacing. The ACC version is bit more easy to drive for sure.
The Porsche from other hands is very fun as is super responsive to my drive style and I’m easily second fastest with it and the McLaren is probably the most balanced from those 3 cars! I haven’t tested the Mercedes as it has really bad for and the ears from the virtual seats cover totally my side monitors and view if I want to get the same fov 🙈
In general I’m happy with those cars but I like better sound! I’ve watched video from AC with the Audi RS gt3 Evo 2 and was trying to understand if that is real car or game 😮 those guys really nailed it 💪

Oh yes man, VR for me have been the best experience ever for Simracing and I was in VR for 3 years exclusively and build that rig for the UA-cam channel 🤛

Funny because I fixed it in a different way by simply avoiding using the bezel setting on the side screens and doubling the bezel for the center screen, it fixed everything in my case while still using the correct resolution and mesurement of my monitors
I remember trying multiple settings and finding that only the bezel was causing the vertical alignment issue

I think this is how I “tricked it” into working as well by manipulating the bezel widths. But I’ll check Scott’s vid again. 😊

i used to own 2 triple screen setups... and yep it could be a pain in the A@# to setup the screens with every game. Nowadays in VR this agony is over for me... I think i'l poor myself a coffee too and go hit the road in automobilista 2 in bad weather in the green hell.....Heaven is upon us ❤❤👌👌

Love watching your content, top level set up. AMS2 drives so fun but I can’t play it in triple, it won’t hold my settings. The menu setting stay at zero, even if I change the .ini file and force true. I can type in the values and it goes right back.
That’s so frustrating man 🙈
I don’t understand why that happens but the sim sometimes doesn’t remember any of the settings I do and I have to do it over again 🙈

I currently have a single ultra wide 34" curved 144hz 1440P monitor, if I added 2 regular 16X9 curved monitors could that be doable or is different sized monitors too much trouble to get right?

I just have the exact same issue like not straight bezels with my triples but for all sims also iRacing but it’s because of my monitors, I tried everything and it simply can’t be alligned perfectly so I accepted for now but the horizon and all are perfect, it’s just where the in-game camera is in for example the AMG GT3 and Porsche etc… But I mainly drive Audi R8 GT3 and there I only have misalignment with the in-game air ventilation at the right bottom but that doesn’t bother me really during race and also at the top.
Maybe it’s because how my monitors are built.
I spent many many hours fiddling and the bottom and top misalligment is still there. Perfect allignment would be perfect but at the current state it’s still OK.

Those bezels kit really bring all the imperfections!
I end up starting loosing slowly the monitors arms as the problem starts from there.
Just let the mid monitor bit lose on the arm and then with the bezels attached I start tightening or loosing all 3 monitors till they aligned! For the left I don’t care much as there is the cage bar in most cars and is ok
I love you man.... But good lord watching you drive modern GT's with paddle shift transmissions with a sequential!!!!!! Drives me UP THE WALL. But that's just me lol. It's like a trigger I didn't realize I had
