Bobby You should invest in a winch….even a Harbor Freight one. Most guys are probably using it to pickup cars ….barn finds that don’t run… you may even be able to up the prices. Also get some tie down strap …if you don’t have a trailer most people aren’t going to have them…..you can charge a couple bucks for renting straps. Just my two cents…..Good Luck!
Be careful though. Winch and straps add liability if they break or are used improperly and come loose. Maybe once upped to an LLC. IMO. Good luck and keep it moving 🎉
@emmettcole6004 They don't add liability to him. The person hauling the goods is liable.
I am working on renting a log slitter, 6'x12' utility trailer and 5'x10' dump trailer. You need to have a super solid rental agreement. If someone gets hurt using your equipment they can sue you for not providing training materials and hands on training. I talked to an attorney about this. Also, you need Business Liability Insurance and it is expensive as hell! I got a quote for 5k minimum for a year!
People that sue are goofy rats. Sadly they are everywhere
Another tip, go ahead and rent a trailer from your competitors and get an inside look on their operations and how they do things… once you see what they do well, you can see what they don’t do well and excel everywhere they do and especially everywhere they DONT!
It’s only a matter of time before this channel gets the respect it deserves
YOUR EDITS AND HUMOR ARE AWESOME BOBBY, DONT CHANGE
I’ve spent many nights in the booby bars in Flint, Michigan. I’m lucky to have got out of that city alive. 6 years clean, 5 years sober now. Damn.
The only issue with the air tag is iphone users will get pinged of its location. Maybe find another gps tracker that wont dime itself out
Congratulations on starting your trailer rental business Bobby.
I’d return the rim to tractor supply and get yourself a rim from a salvage yard for 15 to 35 bucks unless you already had that and got a bare tire rubber for your own rim .
Card on file!!! Best way to get money that way something else happens you can charge them and there’s no fight for your money!
Love the business idea!!! but the risks are not worth it until you get legit insurance & an LLC. God for bid that trailer comes loose or something falls off. They would be suing everyone.
Love the hustle though.
Good stuff man…just a warning though, you need liability insurance and/or to speak to a lawyer. If your trailer is involved in an accident, or hurts someone you could be in deep doo doo. You gotta make sure you’re protected, even tho I hate thinking about that shit
Respect the hustle
How are you advertising for your rentals? great work!
Put the air tags in a spare tire that is chained solid to the frame
Smart lol
Watching that trailer pull out of the driveway over and over is so satisfying. I want to do this so bad.
Do it!
Totally worth it!
Cash..... Fyi that's awesome! I do lawn care and want something else to generate cash flow and this is a good idea
I’m proud of you bud for doing this just set up a bank account for it. To make it easier for ya. I’m excited to see how summer goes for this ps your learning a lot from mike. I can tell ❤
Great video man. I appreciate your honesty, you are speaking facts!
Awesome work Bobby. Grease the bearings after every trip just for piece of mind. Especially if they were in an inclement weather or off road for some reason. Keep us updated on your home renting endeavor. I want to see your opinions. My dad owned property’s around the area. It made money but he always pushed me away from it. Cash!
Very good , LLc business also every thought of Turo car rental . My buddy started jeep and has 4 cars . Doing very well
For the Air Tag. I would recommend counterboring the underside of one of the boards enough to encompass the air tag. Then just take a .25 X 1" board about 6 inches long and place it over the counterbored hole with the air tag in, and put a screw on each end to hold it in place. When you need to swap out the air tag or battery just unscrew one end of the board and swivel it out of the way to pop the air tag out. Place it in an obscure place and they shouldn't notice it is even there. To hide it even more you could even route out a channel for the .25" X 1.00" board to make it flush as well.
You absolutely should be charging the business for any labor you put into it at least if you ever want to be able to sell it. This is the only way a prospective buyer knows the true cost of owning the business.
Great video man! That’s awesome!
I am thoroughly enjoying the trailer content. I am very interested in seeing how this turns out. Great concept for sure. Ironing out the details will be something I’m curious to see what you end up having to do.
You have a optimistic outlook. I look at all these and my first though is I’m gonna get screwed.
I’ve got a newer trailer that I’ve often thought of renting out. I had an older trailer that I loaned out a few times and something always came back broken. Maybe I’ll look into the insurance/LLC thing.
Great idea. I've been thinking of a way to make some money on the side, passive income per say. I may look into this.
Good stuff brother👍
You should do a video on your contract agreement. Im curious how you run that
Subscribed bc of the references and edits. Love the hustle and hello from 215
I respect the hustle ! Good job 😎🤙
if someone gets pulled over with the trailer they are going to think they are stashing drugs in that bottle lol
Great thinking hope this is a success I’m about do something like this make side hustle!😊
Your doing well Bobby and you should get that truck lifted and maybe add some more power like bigger turbo maybe

I think buying a bigger house in the city or town to live in would be kinds dumb.. I think you'd be further ahead to save and build your own house.
I have a enclosed and a flat trailer in NC , how should I advertise ?
AirTag can be recessed in the wood and epoxy patch over it.
Diamond C makes the best trailers. Outstanding quality
Can you show us how your contract looks ? That you have them to sign?
What did you use to rent the trailer out an app, Facebook?
Cash!!!
Cash!
Don't sell your house!!! I sold my house tweny years ago this month and have regreted it very very much recently. From what I see, owning real estate if done right is the best way to build wealth.
You should get a 6x12 utility trailer to rent along with it
You got to take care of the insurance it could cost you your home
What does the contract look like? Is it something you had someone draw up and you paid for it? Or did you write everything up yourself? I’m looking at doing this I have a 16 foot utility trailer and a 12 foot dump trailer. Getting ready to buy a flat bed I’m curious. If someone does damage the trailer how do you go about having them pay for the damages
How are you getting the word out about renting your trailer? How are you advertising?
Cash brother! ❤
What are you using for Business Liability insurance so you don't get sued? I got a quote for a rental business of 5k minimum and could be higher. I have an LLC.
Cash, Baby!!
Get an llc for your youtube company or since you use the trailer for videos it would fall under your youtube llc.
cool but bobby what if someone watches your videos and they would know what it is and wear then they can remove the air tag ........
Where do you advertise?
Get Verizon Connect asset tracker. $10 a month it’s just a plain black box you can hide anywhere on the trailer.
Im sorry if I missed it.... but did he talk about how he advertises his trailer???
Nice
Nice work. Embrace the fear

Cash money! Wood and steel and tires and some luck of valid people.
How do you market to get clients?
Yeah airtags not a great idea since it will notify the theifs their being tracked. There are other better options out there for about $100/yr
Bobby,
How are you marketing the trailer ? I was looking at an app neighbors trailer I think.
You’ll want to stay away from this app. It takes a huge percentage of your profits. There’s other better ways to get rentals
@@Haulers_23 good to know.
@@Haulers_23Do you mind sharing what other ways to get rentals?

Where do you find your customers?
Nice. Say, how do you advertise the trailer?
There’s several ways of doing this just stay away from the neighborstrailer app
Bro how u get talked down on a rental 😂 #1 in business stand firm on your prices
That’s wrong. Would you rather take 20 less a day let’s say you rent trailers for 120 a day. And someone says I’ll take it for a week but at 700. Would you rather your trailer sit in your yard and make 0 or you take 140 less then asking and still make 700 ? Cmon that’s horrible advice.
CASH!
