My dad recently passed away, and something he always wanted to do with me is play dnd. I paint a lot and he always wanted me to make his minis (and when i did he cherished them even though they weren’t the best). The way you talk reminds me of him, and makes me want to pursue this hobby as an outlet for my grief. Sorry for trauma dumping on you but hey, you are doing great stuff here my guy, much love

My dad isnt doing the best with his health. As a kid, he had always wanted me to get into building and painting models but I had no interest. As an adult, I became interested in warhammer 40k and started building and painting models. My dad thought it looked so cool and he was excited to do this with me. Unfortunately, his medical issues ended up affecting his dexterity significantly, so he had to stop shortly after we finally started. He was devastated (and secretly, so was I) but I tried to stay positive and get bigger models that may be easier for him to build. It was to no avail. I almost quit but he wanted me to continue. Now he will sit with me while I paint and we get to hang out. It's bittersweet because this hobby has brought me closer to my dad than ever but it reminds both of us of the reality of his situation. We try to keep it together but ...sometimes that's really hard. Even so, it's been great (it's actually the greatest) hanging out with him. Sorry for the long comment but your story just hit me in a way. I hope you are doing well

Hey man sorry to hear of your loss. It’s nice that ye dad wanted to spend some quality time with you and share in his interests and that’s the most important thing, I personally still don’t get a lot of quality time with my dad and he didn’t have much interest when I was a kid (army man so very difficult) not going to go on, my point is that cherish the fact that your dad wanted to do stuff with you. As for pursuing the same interest, go for it man......and if you have kids get them involved. Don’t see it as an outlet of grief, see it as a celebration of what your dad loved, how he shared it with you and how you can share stories of your dad with ye kids (if you have them) anyway, hope you deal with it in your own way the best you can but a hobby is good for your mental health no matter what. Stay strong and ask for help if you need it......remember, like the mighty oak, if you don’t bend with the breeze you’ll break 👊🏻

You cannot live for your parents. My son did not take up my gaming hobbies. And that is ok. We have other things we do together. The fact you took it up and ran with it is awesome. Cherish all your memories of your father. If you love the hobby continue with it. If not put it up and Cherish what it brought you while pursuing your interest.

Shout out to you for doing this. My friend @crazyhermitDM is running ToH at the Midwest Fest in Kansas City this year and he got a 3d Printing Studio sponsor him. They are printing out the entire dungeon for him and we're starting to paint everything tonight. We are going to be referencing this video so much in the coming days/weeks to get ready. Thanks for all your hard work, you're an inspiration to a lot of people!

Hi Bill! Linking all of these Tomb of Horrors videos together into a single, long production was a superb idea. From the awesome music and your narration style, this is even fun to just listen to as others have identified. It has that calming effect that good game crafting can have at times. Watching it however, is even better and I always pick up ideas from you. In spite of your outstanding talent and creativity, I am nonetheless still awed by you completely building this very famous/infamous dungeon completely. Between you and DMScotty, you both got me started on game crafting in the first place and I'll forever be thankful for that. So many of your build ideas have made it into my DM 'stuff' over the last few years. Thanks so much for making this one!

I watched the whole build after all the videos were out broken up amongst a few days, but even still it's so enthralling to watch.

I am not a DND player buy I landed here while trying to learn how to build models. Excellent video. Watched the whole thing.

I, like you, like to listen to something while I’m doing something. I was working on my 3D printer and your video is recommended. I have never played DnD, nor do I do anything like this. However I watched a majority of your video. Pretty entertaining and educational. Subbed.

I love your video, I had been following all 10 of the builds but glad now to watch it in its full entirety. I remember playing this game back in the 80s after watchin your video makes me want to build my own version of this game.
But a few weeks ago I saw where Miniature Hobbyist did a video of his version of The Great Green Devil on youtube. He used a sheet of glass with the image of the devil underneath it so he could see most of it. Then he sculpted sections from clay and once done looked great. I would make a mold to use over n over again and make them in the future out of resin, since the devil face has a habit of showing up from time to time in dnd.
