    The style of this video is similar to @I Like To Make Stuff (I like to Make Stuff) and @Steve Ramsey - Woodworking for Mere Mortals (Woodworking for Mere Mortals) in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators in the makerspace like @Matthias Wandel (Matthias Wandel) and @jimmydiresta (Jimmy Diresta).
    And for the influence on just getting out there and making cool things... a special thanks to those that inspire our creativity like @Mark Rober (Mark Rober) and @Adam Savage's Tested (Adam Savage).

    love these African birthing chairs. YES!!! That in fact is what they are. Introduced to Europe in the 19th century.

      It turns out we’re probably both right. Ha these chairs are much much older than that. The source is difficult to prove and historically debated. Some examples of these chairs are found around > 2000BCE in Babylon. It’s very possible they are older and were discovered independently in multiple societies.
      Great post and thanks for letting me research some fun facts!!!

    Great chairs awesome videos what is the thickness of the board you used and does the hole have to be on an angle

    • @FridayWorkshop
      @FridayWorkshop  Рік тому +1

      The hole is not at an angle. That’s what makes it grab. We use standard 2” construction lumber.

    Those are nice! Okay.. I have a suggestion (it might be difficult). What about a computer made out of wood? Like the case is wood and it has an actual computer inside.

    Those are on my list of to dos. Maybe make it out of compressed sawdust and syrup or salt so you can leave it in the woods for the animals after?
