They are gonna look so great once they’re healed! Sometimes I think about all of the cute earrings that I can’t wear with my gauges, but I’m just not ready yet to let them go. I’ve had them for almost 20 years now 😱 Yeah, I’m old 😆
You can get some really cute dangly ones on eBay and wish ❤️

I guess for some it is a phase, but that's not true for everyone. I started stretching my earlobes at 16. I'm 27 now and still have them going. It's been difficult for me to understand why anyone would want to get piercings just to later let them close up. I've never wanted to get rid of any of mine, just keep adding more. I agree that 13 is really too young to be making those decisions though.

I took my nipple piercings out for that exact reason. Had them for two years but they started becoming really sore and overall uncomfortable, so I took them out.
This made me sad. I'm at 1 1/2 and loved your plugs but I understand the change, as long as you're happy with

I wish i could have seen you in some of those beautiful weighted pieces for stretched lobes. The ones with big gems/crystals hanging or meg (giant shark) teeth. Mine are only a 00 and I've gone back and forth on liking them and not because my lobes are thin enough that going bigger probably isn't the best idea for me and I've just had them for so long (10 years) that I am so used to them being there they don't bother me at all. Good luck on your non stretched ear journey lol

Make sure you take probiotics too! Antibiotics can cause lots of problems. Just some advise from a nurse

I’m having mine done in August! I recommend a neck pillow! So when you sleep on your side there will be a gap between your normal pillow and you head so your ears can just hang out and breathe over night! I hope that helps! Thank you for sharing your experience! ❤️

They are going to look amazing when they are all healed up. ☺️♥️ It’s crazy to me that they could just do that with numbing, I would have been like “NAHHH you need to KNOCK ME OUT!” 😂 it’s a mental thing for me though, knowing someone is doing something surgical to me freaks me out if I am aware/awake

but I'm also truly glad because your right ear was super thin.
I just finally hit the 1 inch mark on my ears (and did do silicone via online from 1/2 inch up, just because it was so cheap), and I'm scared, stressed out, nervous, anxious, about them getting ripped and torn. I do want to size up but probably wont. I stayed around 1/2 inch for probably a decade and an inch will probably be similar.

So glad you documented this procedure! My ears are the size yours were & I've been wanting to do this for years. After seeing your positive experience I'm definitely going through with it. My surgeon quoted me at $1,000. It's nice to now know that's a typical price. I'd love to see your results once healed!

I have had stretched ears for about 12 years, and I totally see where you're coming from. I'm really happy for you and tge fact that you took time to make this decision! Since it is such a long process to get to what size you want. It is a lot of work and up keep, i bet a lot of people don't understand that part of it either. Hope you heal up nice, they already look amazing!

My ears shrank down to a 00 so I gave up on re stretching them lol I was surprised at how fast they shrank since I was at the same size for so many years lol but I bet your ears are going to look so good :)

I got mine stitched 5 years ago after reaching 24mm and re pierced just last year for my birthday. Biggest regret was stretching in the first place. Your loves look beautiful.

Lay on a travel neck pillow! When I got my cartilage pierced it was way too painful to sleep on my side which is the way I have slept since I was a kid. The neck pillow has helped so much you won’t regret it

I have an inch size and im able to leave jewellery off for a couple days. I dont do it often. I think an Inch is a perfect size for me. Im sure your new ears will look so cute!
I started stretching my ears when I was 19. Went up to 19mm. They only shrink back to about a 0g. So still a bit of a hole. I’m 32 now and very very over my stretched earlobes. Definitely will be looking into earlobe reconstruction surgery. Thank you for* sharing your experience!!
You can sleep on your side if you use a curved neck pillow c: that way there is a gap

I’ve had a lobe reconstruction surgery almost a year ago (my lobe was as big as yours) and I’m loving it now that my ears are pierced again ! Hope you recover well :)

I’ve had mine closed up for five years now. There are some days when I really miss my stretched lobes. Overall, I do enjoy them and enjoy the fact I never have to worry about losing plugs in the morning. The ease of not having them really weighs out the aesthetics. I definitely don’t miss the healing process of them after the surgery, though. The giant clumps of blood are real 😂😂

I had this done last year in March! I had my ears stretched for 8 years. I was able to get my ears pierced about 6 months later. And it only cost me a total of $400. 😊

I started stretching my ears in 2010. I got to 34mm, so pretty big. In 2018 I started the reconstruction process on my left ear, because once I got that one to 1 inch it got super infected and it just turned into a massive keloid. It took 2 procedures to get rid of the keloid. And just yesterday I got my left ear, which was stretched to 34mm reconstructed. It’s so much more painful then my left ear. And my ear reconstruction was covered because my plastic surgeon claimed it as a “growing scar” which is awesome because I would’ve had to pay $2000 if he didn’t do that!
The surgeon did a great job! Been thinking about closing mine, but I haven’t gotten to my goal size. May just keep them for a year or 2 and let them go. I know the feeling when you see cute earrings that you can’t wear😭😭
