I found an original "All things must pass" 3 record box set at a thrift store for $1.99 It sounds so Clear. Best sounding record I have out of my 600 record collection. I highly recommend glistening to an original copy of this.
WOW just so cool to see this and there sure is a lot in this one . The out side box looks like a Treasure Chest lol . But the inside sure is a BIG Treasure !!! I know you sure will be spending a lot of time with this Leaf ... I mean the hole set lol right !!!! Thank you for showing it and enjoy it :). !!!
I’m glad you went ahead and got it. I’m ecstatic about mine as well. I would recommend checking all your discs though. Mine all seemed ok, but my blu ray hit an issue mid album even though it looked perfect.

Joe, love your channel. I miss the east coast but not enough to move back (living in burning hills CA) Im just not into Harrison as much as the Beatles to justisfy such an expense. One thing that all four band mates made very very clear (and made clear before Johns passing) "If three of us are together we not the Beatles" Imagine if the first 10 years of solo Beatles were recorded and produced by all four in the same room, that music would be completely different. That magic that happened when the four were together. That magic. Thats the magic that lives on and on and on. Great presentation though, i enjoy all your presentations, and your cameraman did a great Job! John Carradeen? Ha! What I always wanted in music box set a statue. I ll go for the 5CD box set and use the money I save to buy a few new harmonicas. Cheers !
With the help of a time machine, they could make a movie: "The Life of George Harrison, starring John Carradine!" This was quite a huge box set. I would probably display the figures, and I'm sure that the books are interesting (the big book and the smaller paper book inside the box with the beads).

This Uber Set is definitely a reflection of what George Harrison was all about. A combination of His music, his songs which he had accumulated mostly during the Beatles period, and his garden from Friar Park, and some of his spiritual thoughts. Just thinking about this now (and certainly not being critical), I wonder if George should have included perhaps some Indian music on this album with Ravi Shankar in the same way he collaborated with Bob Dylan on 2 x songs. Nevertheless, this is a great album which I’m very happy to have the Super Deluxe Box and 3 x Shm CD set.
Looks Fab and have fun although, personally, I don't dig the figurines. What do you do with them? I think the book is great. Wonder if it will be sold separately one day? Well, I'm off to join the cat food supper club myself and order the 5CD set.

Got mine - it is great. They seem to have come from China - not checked though where the vinyl was pressed. Overall a great buy which I am sure will only gain in value - not clear how many copes were made.
I'd buy the figures if they sold them separately. These will be worth some pounds/dollars in years to come. It's good you managed to get hold of one of these sets and can't wait to see George and the gnomes on display in your Beatles room.
I got mine Saturday, Maslov vid convinced me. And it's fab. Love the box itself, great object. You can make a table out of it, or sit on it as Maslov. For now I put the figurines on top, they are fantastic (looks like stone composite) every well done (just look at George hands). The book is extraordinary quality. I am glad I got one. I've been listening to All Things Must Pass on the 5 LP set as well as on the I tunes download on the I pod, and I have to say there are some differences you can hear with noise cancelling headphones vs stereo speakers. Also, it's dawned on me this morning as I had the album on the train going to the office, that very few of these songs would have been right for The Beatles - I'd Have You Anytime, What Is Life, Let It Down, Apple Scruffs, possible I Dig Love (sort of as the flip side to For You Blue) would have been right for them. This isn't a quality-based opinion, but one that has a hard time imagining the band harmonizing when he's yelling at Paul (Wah Wah), still yelling at Paul (Run of the Mill), sharing his philosophy of the end of life, etc. As great an album as it is, a lot of the material was a bit heavy-handed for England's top pop combo. Just like John trying Gimme Some Truth with the band - that wouldn't have worked either, also a bit heavy-handed for England's top pop combo.
I agree with you on your John Carradine comment. LOL I was under the impression that the Uber Box-Set was a complete item. At least that was my understanding. So I'm surprised it didn't contain ALL the audio. The Vinyl and the CDs both. Mine hasn't arrived yet. But now, I'm not very happy that I ordered it.

I had to watch the playback of my video to figure out how to put it back in place. I totally agree that the figurine of George doesn’t look much like him. Hi joe glad you finally got yours great unboxing. I have issues with the music elemof the box set my first disc of extras vinyl warped and noisy with surface as usual I’m finding no quality control such an expensive Uber boxset thought that they would have made sure the vinyl element was at least flat and payed more attention to the sound quality very disappointing. This is the most I’ve ever spent on music related item . And feel let down again by lack of care. Won’t be returning as to awkward another life lesson I’m afraid. I got the 8LP set and the records were severely warped. I know there’s other people with the same problem. I hear you say you’ll keep the records sealed?…might be worth checking them, at least you can get a replacement if they are. Looks lovely though.

What if you flipped the bookmark over and in small letters it said Made in China Sorry, had to cut corners somewhere. Olivia That was mean of me, but I do see where other people are coming from. I don't want to steer you wrong, Joseph. Some people say the vinyl sounds better, some are saying the CD sounds better. As far as value for the money, that's all up to what you want to have ... just the main album, or maybe the 3CD set, which also has some bonus tracks .

I admit I’m a bit jealous. I really wanted that, but it didn’t get a local release here and with the exchange rate as it is and the shipping, it would have cost me close to $1700. I ended up going with the 8 LP set instead ($400 here).
I'm in Australia and bought the Uber set. It was super expensive, and then after it got shipped I got a text and email from Fed-Ex asking for an extra $260 they hadn't factored in to the already-high shipping cost. I paid it, but wasn't happy about it. Anyway, according to the tracking it should arrive on Friday. I wonder how many of these boxes will end up in Australia?

While it was very interesting to watch, I have 0 interested in getting this. I’m not a big Solo Beatles guy as it is. But the last Beatles anniversary box set I got was Sgt. Pepper’s. I just don’t have much interest in these anymore. But hey if they decide to put out a box set for the first 7 Beatles albums, I’ll be interested

Great video, showing the detail, glad you're enjoying it. Was fortunate enough to go on the tour inside Abbey Road yesterday (didn't want to leave studio 2!) and outside they have it decorated with All Things Must Pass images and a gnome: lovely to see the ongoing connection between studio and band 😊.
I am glad to see your joy after your purchase. But does it have anything to do with music still? it seems as something very different - undefinable. I am pleased not to own this big box- I have seen it at a friends of mine---The huge book contains the Cd´s and Blue Ray - and suffers from the same problem as the Beatles "White Album". You have to get a huge book out to get to the music - not how I believe entertainment was meant to be - easily accessible and immediate enjoyable - it should not be a long and complicated process to get to the music. So all praise to the fine Lennon boxes issued recently. All through the same format and with a separaete booklet with the music separate from the book(s). So easily to get to - so keep it up Lennon Estate -and please re-think Harrison Estate.

Good video Joe. From what I see the contents of the book are similar in the uber and super deluxe sets. No comparison in terms of it's cover, dimensions, binding, paper quality, insets, of course, But the photos, with a few notable additions, and the text seem pretty much the same?
Everything looks great. I'm sure I'd want to have those wonderful figurines on display. Are you keeping the vinyl in the shrink? I've heard some people have received warped vinyl- not in the uber set but I'm wondering if you should check just in case?
I keep telling people that since I'm keeping the vinyl sealed, it doesn't matter to me if the records are indeed warped. I will listen to my CDs mainly, and my splatter green vinyl edition. But I must say that these reports of warpage have caused me to consider doing a video checking to see if the records are messed up or not!
Harrison's estate desperatly needs the money, it gets expensive heating a castle.

I have been hearing a lot of bad things about quality control here. Many vinyl discs are warped..
My blu ray has menu issues, cannot choose audio selections.

I got the 8 LP version which was a splurge for me and I am luving it! It's a beautiful set and I am very much enjoying the demos and outtakes. I do wish that our independent record stores here in Canada got that beautiful promo poster but no, no store I contacted got them...boo hoo. Enjoy your set!

I probably won't ever open the standard album. Maybe the demos, sessions and jams. Yes, I have heard about the warped records.

I Loved this Joe Thank you SO MUCH for sharing. Please tell me which is the BEST SET FOR YOUR DOLLOR? The Uber set is amazing and the gnomes are very nice I didn’t know there were 4 and + George included until I saw the unboxing videos. What a Great surprise. The Book is Very sharp I think it is the best out of ANY box set the gloss on the pics is very nice and the texture on the pages is nice too. Witch hives a better sound cd or vinyl ? I don't want to steer you wrong, Joseph. Some people say the vinyl sounds better, some are saying the CD sounds better. As far as value for the money, that's all up to what you want to have ... just the main album, or maybe the 3CD set, which also has some bonus tracks .
@@MeanMrMayo right I Appreciate that I can’t afford anything right now I’m waiting for get back but I would love to get the 5C said that you have value wise I think they could’ve done a lot better with the book but you get all the music which I would love to have so I’m gonna wait until I see it go on sale.

I admit I’m a bit jealous. I really wanted that, but it didn’t get a local release here and with the exchange rate as it is and the shipping, it would have cost me close to $1700. I ended up going with the 8 LP set instead ($400 here).
I'm in Australia and bought the Uber set. It was super expensive, and then after it got shipped I got a text and email from Fed-Ex asking for an extra $260 they hadn't factored in to the already-high shipping cost. I paid it, but wasn't happy about it. Anyway, according to the tracking it should arrive on Friday. I wonder how many of these boxes will end up in Australia?

While it was very interesting to watch, I have 0 interested in getting this. I’m not a big Solo Beatles guy as it is. But the last Beatles anniversary box set I got was Sgt. Pepper’s. I just don’t have much interest in these anymore.
But hey if they decide to put out a box set for the first 7 Beatles albums, I’ll be interested

Great video, showing the detail, glad you're enjoying it. Was fortunate enough to go on the tour inside Abbey Road yesterday (didn't want to leave studio 2!) and outside they have it decorated with All Things Must Pass images and a gnome: lovely to see the ongoing connection between studio and band 😊.

I am glad to see your joy after your purchase. But does it have anything to do with music still? it seems as something very different - undefinable. I am pleased not to own this big box- I have seen it at a friends of mine---The huge book contains the Cd´s and Blue Ray - and suffers from the same problem as the Beatles "White Album". You have to get a huge book out to get to the music - not how I believe entertainment was meant to be - easily accessible and immediate enjoyable - it should not be a long and complicated process to get to the music. So all praise to the fine Lennon boxes issued recently. All through the same format and with a separaete booklet with the music separate from the book(s). So easily to get to - so keep it up Lennon Estate -and please re-think Harrison Estate.

Good video Joe. From what I see the contents of the book are similar in the uber and super deluxe sets. No comparison in terms of it's cover, dimensions, binding, paper quality, insets, of course, But the photos, with a few notable additions, and the text seem pretty much the same?
Everything looks great. I'm sure I'd want to have those wonderful figurines on display. Are you keeping the vinyl in the shrink? I've heard some people have received warped vinyl- not in the uber set but I'm wondering if you should check just in case?
I keep telling people that since I'm keeping the vinyl sealed, it doesn't matter to me if the records are indeed warped. I will listen to my CDs mainly, and my splatter green vinyl edition. But I must say that these reports of warpage have caused me to consider doing a video checking to see if the records are messed up or not!
I saw Matthew Street's video about the 5 CDs..he was NOT a happy camper. 😉
