Really nice room Joe. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but we are about the same age, and many of your stories and much of your "stuff" really hits home with me. And I have a lot of it as well. Nice tour and take care.
Love the Magical Mystery Room Tour!!! Love how everything is set up. The autographs are astounding. Love it!!! You should put up your paste over next to your butcher cover. Great conversational pieces!!! Love the room again, Joe... Always a pleasure.
Craig Richard Thanks, Craig! Yeah, I have been considering putting the paste over butcher next to the other. The thing is, I want it to be low enough on the wall that RIngo's black shirt can still be recognized underneath. Always a pleasure to hear from you --- take care.
Great video. I always wanted to live in an apartment with an elevated train going by in close proximity after seeing The Blues Brothers movie. Ever since I was a little kid I thought that would be the coolest thing LOL. I used to live on Long Island when I was a kid but now I live in Texas. Anyway cool room. I used to have a lot of Beatles records in the 90s that I bought from the used bookstore for super cheap. Of course they weren't original additions but they were still cool. I did have a Beatles box set in my possession for a little while but it belong to a friend. It was about 10 years ago and it was the one with all the records. But I can't remember which one. It wasn't the blue one. Anyway I've been a fan forever. The only record I have of theirs is an old rusty version of The White Album and the blue 1967 through 1970. I think I got the ears right on that. My mom bought that right there for me when I was a little kid. Of course I scratch that copy up. It was the blue label one that I had back then. But now I got an old apple one that somebody gave me a couple of months ago. I have to say The White Album it's my favorite after all these years
Joe, that room is just beautiful. You did a wonderful job arranging everything . Its clear a lot of thought went into each display. Thanks for the tour, I really enjoyed it.
The Lennon "Listen to this postcard" reminds me of an old legend I read in which John sent a letter to "I forget who" with an un-inflated balloon and a note which said, "Listen to this balloon."
Joe, a description of the Hollywood Bowl box. The box is album size but does not contain the vinyl album. The front and back of the box are the album cover, glossy. The box contains a double sided gatefold reproduction of the album cover and inner gatefold. Another insert is a double sided repro of the album inner sleeve. Also included are reproductions of the three tour programs: '64, '65 and '66. These tour programs look absolutely amazing - better than my originals. A foam cut out tray holds a jewel case cd with album artwork. Don't know for sure if mine is legit or a boot. They're identical. Bought mine back in the early '80's for $300.
Greg Mattingly Thanks for watching and commenting, Greg. (Speaking of Batman, I need that '60s TV Series too -- but I'm waiting for the price to go down.
Fantastic!!!! Love all the great items. When McCartneys NEW came out I wanted one of the light up cubes, but they were all out. I like the movie wall and all the figures. That's my second hobby, movies and figures. Great room! I may take my video down and do a more in depth tour.
I Would Love to Have The Beatles Room. I Will Add Some Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Rich, Hank Williams, Marty Robbins, Lefty Frizzell, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Roy Acuff, Porter Wagoner, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, John Denver & George Jones.
That was simply amazing! I thank you for the Tour it brought a tear to my eyes seeing the memorabilia of John,Paul,Linda,George,Ringo and Yoko. I still cry every December 8th. I was just overwhelmed when John was gunned down.I have some things that you do not seem to have that need a home. I will get in touch with you.Give Peace a Chance.
New sub! Huge life long Beatles fan all of my life and loving your channel so far. Can't wait to discover more great vids on here. Love the room and collection. I recognize the poster on the door from All Things Must Pass album. I lost mine a long time ago, though I still have my original album (box). I do have the mini photo version of it from the CD case.
You have great taste in film, and music ! I see allot of movies that I grew up with as a kid, and loved.I had that Beatles button in red and white that said" I'm a Beatles Fan",and had my picture taken in a Woolworths' photo booth ! Remember Woolworths' ? Great video !
+Cindy Urban -- Thanks, Cindy. Oh sure, I definitely remember Woolworth's photo booth... and I had my photo taken there when I was pretty young. I hope you'll subscribe and maybe check out other videos on my channel.
sorry Joe-as a new subscriber, I missed this video in your archive, and it was one of my 99 questions I asked you (apologies for that too)-great room, fantastic collection. Never enough Beatles !
Great Fab Four collection! J'adore Paul McCartney! You must be about my older brother's age based on your collections from Beatles to classic sci-fi and Universal Horror to POTA. Did you watch Chiller Theatre on WPIX as a kid? We sure did. If I had to select two cool things that I saw in your tour that I am going to try to acquire soon, they would be the "Rock Show" poster and The Fly Collection DVD boxed set. Thanks for the fun tour, Joe. I will check out your movie channel and will urge my brother to do so too. Heather
What a great room/collection you have, Joe! I hope mine is as great as that one day. Everything is set up really nice. I really enjoyed seeing those photos of you with Paul, Linda, etc... Especially the one of you holding the Help! album - too cute! I always thought the 'Listen To This..' campaign was really cool as well. Great video!
Kristine Lennon Hi Kristine... thanks! I know you're a big fan and I have watched your video of your own room tour, which was really nice. All it takes is time (and some money of course). You're still young and I was around your age when I started. I think you already have more in your collection than I did at that same time! :)
Love your BeaTles room! I have a lot of stuff also and some of the same items as you. I never got John and Ringo from the plastic stand up figures set from the 90's but I bought George and Paul as store displays from Spencer Gifts around '95 and still have them. They are actually pretty expensive pieces if you go to buy them now. Keep making great videos! Love watching your stuff! ✌
Love the room Joe. Right now I'm in the process of re-doing my 3 bedrooms with one being called my Beatles/Dylan room. Anyway, love the monster figurines. Are those the Revell model kits? I've thought about buying these online and putting a few together. I saw you have a copy of the "Growing up with The Beatles" by Ron Shamburg. A really fun book to read. I wish I could find my copy that my brother bought me back in '76. Also, the "Our Gang" is a great book. I've never been a huge Joan Jett fan but she's always seems that she's genuine and REAL. I remember seeing her and Michael J Fox from a distance when they were in Cleveland filming the movie, "Light of Day" back in '85 or '86.
nowhereman64 - None of the monster figures are kits, I don't think. Many are just dolls/action figures. Yes, having met Joan Jett a few times I can tell you that she IS real and genuine, and loves her fans. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You should get The Memoirs of Billy Shears (The Nine After 9-09 Edition). It contains a foreword by Sir George Martin's eldest son, Gregory Martin, who's also gonna be recording an audiobook version of it soon. It's certainly a wild, entertaining Beatley ride, whatever your beliefs. Enjoyed your video by the way. You've got a Ton of DVDs; good to see Suspiria in there. And I like the Jason holding a Crystal Lake/Ball in his hands!
The pink-background poster on the back of the door! I used to have that in the 80s. Have you had yours since then or did you find a new copy? I’d love to find one again. Anyway, fantastic room!
fantastic songs and vinyl. also this track played - brilliant group THE MERSEYBOYS - decca acl1169 -recording 1964 year. i have this lp. = alex, ukraine.
You have a super cool collection of Beatles books. I have about a dozen Beatles books. Would be cool if you made a video pertaining to the Beatles books. Do you own ''The Beatles: Six Days that Changed the World- February 1964'' Didn't see it in your video, released 2 years ago to coincide with their first visit to The USA. Has an amazing collection of previously unreleased photos. I'd say it's one of my more recent favorite Beatles books. Another great book is ''The Lost Beatles Photographs: The Bob Bonis Archive, 1964-1966.''
+Robert Nunez -- If you care to look way back to an early video of mine which I've numbered #33 you will see all my Beatles books. The video is a couple of years old now and I may have gotten a few more since then, but not too many.. I have actually slowed down buying books. Thanks a lot for your comment.
+mrhoffame -- Yes, and I also had a chance again only last August. I went to an outdoor show and caught her at the gate while going into her room. I was waiting for a possible autograph with a couple of other people, but she just waved and said "Hi, guys!", and went in without signing. Different times these days.
Great collection Joe, I loved seeing all your stuff. In particular I'm very impressed with all your books on Karloff, Lugosi etc. Are you a fan of the "Dark Shadows" series?....What are your favorite Laurel & Hardy films?......Thanks for sharing..
Thomas Calden Hi Thomas. I think I would rather watch the feature film "House of Dark Shadows" over sitting through the TV series. I tried them several years ago but found them tough going. My favorite L&H film is "Sons of the Desert", followed by "Block-Heads". But just about all their short films are first-rate.
Yes, "Sons Of The Desert" is my favorite too, (one of my favorite movies, period), followed by "Blockheads" as well and "Way Out West". My favorite shorts of theirs are "Tit For Tat", and "The Fixer Uppers". Very heartwarming to see someone who still likes that stuff as well as Charlie Chan movies, although I'm strictly a fan of the Warner Oland ones...
I never thought I'd like Sidney Toler much, but I think his first film (Charlie Chan in Honolulu was it?) was good. (I still need to consider doing a second channel exclusively about movies). As for the L&H shorts, there are so many: I also love "Tit For Tat"..
Do you have The Beatles Live at The Hollywood Bowl box? Very few were legitimate - only given to Capitol execs. Bootlegs were even limited and very rare. It's a really beautifully packaged box.
Hi Joe… I always appreciate every video you shoot. However I have a question. Where do you buy the sleeves you use to protect your books? Are they acid-free and PVC-free? If yes… Please… could you name the brand?
I love your room mr Mayo! And I like checking out your vids. I've done my little house a similar way. And I'm now just getting back into vynal. I live just south of Perth in Western Australia. Oompah! :)

Respect. A true collector. Very very impressive. I can’t stop thinking how much money has been spent so far to build such collection !
Really nice room Joe. I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but we are about the same age, and many of your stories and much of your "stuff" really hits home with me. And I have a lot of it as well. Nice tour and take care.
Tim Allen Great to hear that, Tim!
fascinating and very intriguing collection sir... feel fortunate to have been on the tour - cheers man
+Steven Hare -- Thanks for your comment.

Jimmy King Yes, I really made an effort to get things the way I wanted. Thanks, Jimmy.
Hi Joe, first time watching this video, wow you have acquired a lot more since 2015 Nice collection and set up. A collection is a living thing. Rich

Hi Joe…
I always appreciate every video you shoot.
However I have a question.
Where do you buy the sleeves you use to protect your books?
Are they acid-free and PVC-free?
If yes…
Please… could you name the brand?
Thanks. I don't buy special sleeves for my books, I have always used clear record sleeves.
I love your room mr Mayo! And I like checking out your vids. I've done my little house a similar way. And I'm now just getting back into vynal. I live just south of Perth in Western Australia. Oompah! :)
Thanks for your comments! Oompah ! :)

Great shrine!
+Martin W - Thanks
Fantastic room setup Joe! It's really neat to see a 'tribute' room of sorts. It looks like a room that someone put a lot of care into. It looks like a HOME. Well done!
Cheers, Tom
High Rant District Thanks so much, Tom. That's a nice compliment.
Epic room
Wayne Daly - I've seen way better, but thanks.
Love the room Joe. Somehow missed this video when you posted it. Where do u put your box sets like "Pure McCartney", etc
Right now the PURE set is there in the shelves (I have since liquidated some other records to make more room). I've got other box sets elsewhere.. some are on top of this cabinet, and I have the Deluxe McCartney Archives Collections over with the Beatles books on my bookcases.
What album was playing in the background?
Bradyn.concord sounds like the help! album

Hey Joe I like the room. Looks like we have some of the same interests.

Just wondering if this guy has an original "Love comes to Everyone 45 P/S?
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE on earth did you get the "I Was A Teenage Werewolf" and "I Was A Teenage Frankenstein" dolls?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Favorite Yoko Ono Song? 10 Minutes of silence! OK really, Bout the only one I really care for are the ones on Her Plastic Ono Band LP. Really like Why. Why? Mainly due to the production and music and not her which I know she would and couldn't come up with. I had her Autograph once. Gave it to someone I didn't like. That's only half true. I sold it for 10 bucks on ebay.
MeanMrMayo.....love it!
DizziemissLizzie - Thanks.
Legends....next thing to classical music....am i wrong.
Fab!! Gear!!!
neat
How are you? Have you met Paul McCartney?
Not really. I have seen him up close at different venues, and waited at his hotel once in 1993 when he was in NY to do SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. I got an autograph from him there (shown in this video) but what happened was the fans' items were taken into the hotel lobby, Paul signed them inside there and the assistant returned them to the fans waiting outside.
Thank u for your videos...u know it is amazing because I have several hundred Beatles/Solo items; there is always someone with more great stuff..during law school I saw him In New Orleans on the Off the Ground Tour...the Superdome shook when he took the stage...what do u do for a living if u don't mind? Thanks...I am an Attorney in Louisiana...
So...is it Faul or Paul that u saw?
I recently acquired a Butcher Blcok Cover Yesterday and Today...not in mint condition...cost me $350...
Block...sorry
Next time you make a presentation of your Beatle room -
don't forget to turn on the lights first !
The junk we fill our vacuous lives with.
Battle Spear - The stupid remarks some people make to fill their vacuous lives with.
