Wow! Been to the pass twice in the past 17 years and must say this Footage is the best footage I’ve seen. Watching trains roll thru this pass is one of the wonders of the world. Thanks
Agree completely. Best use of a drone I've seen yet. A complete, 360° view of the Loop that beats every other view of it. That brings into perspective just how massive the Loop is, and how trains approach and depart the area, something other videos lack. Two thumbs up! Now all you need is a pro-grade wind muff.
Great video. Have been to most of the places it was shot at. Living in Thachapi like I do, I hear just about all of the consists that come up from Bakersfield and Mojave.
Excellent camera work ! Superb. I am from the area, Palmdale, and visit the Tehachapi range from Mojave to Arvin every now and then. No better place to railfan. Sure looks like the UP and BNSF are going to double track that stretch of railroad soon. That would allow Amtrak to operate in the Tehachapi range also.
Astonishingly high quality videography and editing. Both the ground and drone side shots are zoomed and panned immaculately; I've never seen a westbound elevated shot of Caliente like that before. The opening credits 'S-Line Productions' who are new to me. Pentrex/Highball, you have some very stiff competition!
I have had this video in my to watch list for awhile. After watching it, I wished I had seen it earlier! This is one of my favorite train videos. The drone footage was really cool; a new perspective on the whole area. I especially liked the view of the Tehachapi Loop. Never seen anything like it. When you where in Callienta, I wish you could have panned a little more to the left when you where following that west bound train. There is a little dirt road that goes up a little hill that is one of my favorite spots to watch trains. Park the car and pull out a chair and relax and watch trains. I met a guy there one time who said that when he died he wanted to be cremated and buried under a tree that is there. I wanted to see if that tree is still there.
Nice use of the drone to get those shots in the different locations. I was just in the Caliente area for nearly 2 weeks. Plan was to start at he bottom and work my way up to the summit. Unfortunately i crashed my drone in caliente so that as far as i got.
Really great vid. It' s good to see you posting again. I must say its given me great isdeas for my next N scale layout. Thanks a lot for all those great shots. '
Pretty much everything you said was wrong he's posting where he wasn't even at or what train are you following most of this was all out of California and he was trying to say other states and stuff
The aerial and up close shots are very crisp and clear. Such long trains they run these days too. Well done!

Excellent drone footage, the best I have seen so far, thank you.
What amazes me is the strain on the drawbar immediately behind the last Loco , how many tonnes ? Marvellous Docu.
Those overhead shots are amazing! Great video, thanks for sharing.

Brilliant video work here. great enjoable viewing.
Hello… magnifique vue aérienne… continuez...
I could only imagine how cool it would be to see Amtrak on this kinda route..
3:05 Singled out region.
Did UP even considered doubletracking the entire Mojave Subdivision? or at least its mainlines in this subdiv?
Great looking countryside.
1:40 What are liquids contained inside these black tank cars? Crude oil? Fuel Oil? or either Gasoline or Diesel oil?
Maybe if in future videos you could give us an idea where the scenes are shot at plz.
2:21 Is this section newly doubletracked or is it a simple track maintenance had just completed?
Darn they moved the signals aways at Walong from the original spot
Amazing! Really a great video.
Stunning footage, my big question..."how did you get into Rowen" since the locals will chase you out?
Amazing video
Excelente video!!
How did you find info about where the trains are originating and their destination?
Hi csx6900. Can I ask, what drone model did you use in the making of this video? Thank you.
What is the story on the tank car at 1:15?
Anybody know what they are doing between tunnels 3 - 5 ?.
I didn't know BNSF originated a train at Vaughn, NM.
how did u get the train symbols?
Wow
