  • There are many different kinds of story formats out there, and they’re all great and interesting! Here, we’ll be focusing on the screenplay. If you’ve ever watched a TV show, a movie, or a play, they were all written in screenplay format. This helps the people performing the story to know what’s going on and what to say. In this episode, we’ll teach you how to write in screenplay format, just like TV and the movies!

Pilar will guide the viewers through the process from the Lobby and introduce everyone to two friends (not Brothers, Sisters, or Twins!) named Vira and Curtis who hang out in the Imaginarium! Both are Young Storytellers alumni and they will teach that there are no limits to one’s imagination ESPECIALLY in the Imaginarium, a space that adapts to whatever one would need for the creative writing process. We won't be making slime, eating candy, playing Nintendo games or Minecraft, but we will be writing about it all if you want!! There are no limits, write whatever you can come up with. Rocket your imagination into a league of learning as we go on the hunt for the next best story!! Don't worry about what's trending just write what's in your heart and mind. You want a story about one million orbeez or Lava vs your pool? Go for it.
A story about a Space Dogs? See what happens when you build with heart emojis at Architecture School??? What will happen now?? It’s up to you!
You are friends among us and we can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Story Time is a 12 episode series of short videos and activities that guides kids at home through the experience of writing their own stories and discovering the power of their creative voice. Students will have the opportunity to submit their stories to our team, and selected submissions will be brought to life through live virtual performances with professional actors, character designs by illustrators, and even mentoring sessions with professional writers!
