I feel similar with the music choice. At first I liked how it tied into the Amblin theme, 80's and all, but the nostalgia turned into self-awareness that I didn't really dig.
I would feel that way about the music if it was in the show itself. That would be jarring and feel off to me. I don't think I would like that or it would at least take me a lot of getting used to. THAT SAID- If it's just in the trailer or for promotional reasons or even the end credits like if they did a different '80s song, in the end credits of every episode just in Huttese and rearrange it in a very synth Star Wars way, I would love that. I think it works phenomenally well as far as setting the tone and feel of the show. And as long as it's not in the show itself, I'm all for it.
@@allthestarwarsthings thats a good point! i dont think itll be in the show, bc that would v weird and fourth wall breaking for me personally. The idea of the end credits being different 80s songs in a star wars-y style theme would be interesting. But yeah i feel the same way!!!
I'm definitely watching this. I was excited at 1st teaser, so very happy to see some more details shared in this new trailer. Looking forward to your coverage 👍
This totally has Goonies/Indiana Jones/Stranger Things/Guardians of the Galaxy mashup vibes. Cinematography looks phenomenal. Aliens and practical effects look spot on. And having grown up in the 70s/80s and always appreciate "New Wave" music, I actually liked the Huttese version of Major Tom by Peter Schilling. Fun Fact: Originally it was released in both English and Schilling's native German, so now it's in a Third language! I'm ooking forward to watching this series and following your reactions! Hope all is well, and thanks for all that you do for all of us! ~MTFBWY,A

@@OldMisterChris yes i agree, like i appreciated the 80s tribute music but then it became too real and too close to home

Good point on the meta aspect of the song.
Chat, are you watching Skeleton Crew in December?

The visuals look great. I like how different this is from any other star wars project. I have the same excitement as the first season of mandalorian
