Max holds on this year, but if next year RedBull starts 10× worse, its just going to be Max. All alone, no car, maybe just 1 or 2 win from time to time. But surely out of contention.
I've read in some place that Tsunoda and Lawson didnt outmatch Perez's scorings on the simulator, so that change would be pointless...That makes some sense.
Max has been outperforming the car's capabilities since the Miami GP. At the moment, it’s clear that Red Bull isn’t providing a car that matches his exceptional talent. Failing to equip a driver of his caliber with the right machinery is a missed opportunity for both Max and the team.
It's been quite clear that Max is outperforming the car but on Checo's side being outqualified by drivers lower down in worse cars, i mean Zhou outqualified him in Vegas. It seems like he is the most likely driver not to be in F1 at this rate.
James Vowles, ever the engineer, recently tore Crofty a new one, like "Ah cut the cr@p, drivers cannot out perform a car." (during a free practice sesh in Mexico I believe) What Vowles was saying, the performance is obviously there, it's up to the driver to find and unlock it. And he's got a point.
@@Holy_RandomnessTotally agree, a car cannot be outperformed so to speak, the difference comes down to the driver's style / ability and a setup suited to that driver
4:00 Thing is by the word of Albon Redbull didn't build the car for Verstappen. They built the fastest car they could and it just so happen that the resulting car was hard to drive for everybody else.
I wouldn’t call this a downfall, just that the standards are set so high it looks like one. Those click bait media headlines don’t help matters either. As mentioned, 2025/2026 will reveal whether Red Bull are on a downfall and should be printed into business management textbooks worldwide in years to come. Looks like the power struggle that came after Mateschitz’s death and the desire for or their senior staff to seek new challenges, means things look to be messy internally and not good for morale and performance at any level below the top brass.
Apparently the rear wing thing was not 100% true. They never had Vegas specific rear wing at all. In fact according to The Race, they never had Monza-specific rear wing too since 3 years ago for cost cap reasons. They just make one for many races and just cut the rear wing for when they need lower downforce.
Drinks brand benefits from marketing of WDC, Team benefits from being lower in WCC for developing for 2026 - add Slim's money and Perez's merch draw, and it makes sense he hasn't been sacked.
You got it the wrong way around tho, if you win the constructors you should be winning the drivers as well, winning the drivers while losing the constructers just shows how good the champion is lmao
First things first, I am going to repeat the words of Adrian Newey: The car is not built around Max. The car is built for speed. Max just knows better how to use its potential. I disagree that Red Bull are in a downfall. Sure they did some things wrong in the design of the car and with the updates on the car this season (also less wind tunnel time). It also has been tumultuous in the team. But I think other teams have caught up, which is natural when regulations are longer in place. Max has been a rebuilding force by keeping faith in the team. Since Baku they are slowly crawling back.
Max won the drivers championship with a third place car..and btw everyone needs to watch that Albon interview where he clearly states the car isn’t built for Max.. and he explains why it’s soo hard being his teammate.. it would of been easy for him to say yeah it’s all about Max.. But,, he didn’t..
Laptimes what Max does with that car means car can do it,its that simple.Thing is as you can see he can extract performance from that car and Perez cant
Two things. First, 2:19, bro you don't have to sugarcoat things at this point. Seeing Perez out at Q1 is a full-on crisis, not a little worrying sign. Secondly, I'm not a Merc stan and RB has definitely achieved a higher peak last year than Merc ever did. But comparing the Merc era with the RB era, I can say Merc managed their advantages better when they had it. Say what you will about Merc but RB is proof that having a cheat code for a car and/or a driver is not enough to consistently dominate, week-in week-out, year after year.
This been happening for years and it always when they win 4 that it and when they have another team they don’t know how to manage young drivers they rush them in the top seat in Red Bull Racing and then they blame them but this time they got a old driver that was once good and they point the finger at him for the blame but the team need to kick him out like that did years ago
We seen Checo struggle 3 years now only having great start of the season and great end of last year, apart from the car develpment. Red bull stratigies are still better than mclaren 😆. not als relentless as it used to be some moments like hungary 2 times undercutted to mention. and Adrian newey also mentioned he lost his mojo, stimulation on the aerodynamics of the RB20. he mention this in a podcast on highperformance yt channel. I wonder if Perspective has seen this podcast its very intriguing.
Max Verstappen hinting at early retirement? I wouldn't hold my breath, that's not how true champions are wired. What do you expect him to say when asked about it? "Retirement? Not a chance in hell! Not until I've won six-in-a-row or eight world championships." Imagine the ensueing social meejah sh*tstorm. In the quiet words of the great Stephen Hendry, when asked what motivates a (snooker) player like Ronnie O'Sullivan to compete at the highest level at this age after having won everything there is to win many times over, Stephen replied, "If had to guess, it's because of me. For me it was Steve Davis' record [of six world championships]. Had I quit then I'd have been just another dude with six titles, what's the point?" No, Max Verstappen doesn't want to be "just another dude with 4, 5 or 7 titles"... just like Lewis Hamilton doesn want to be "just another dude with 7 titles". What's the point? 😉

Y'all say whatever you want, but right after Newey officially announced he was leaving RB, the cars performance went downhill.
What if Perez's performance is on par with the car but Maxxie somehow grabs the bull by its balls to Q3?
I most certainly think Perez's performance is under par. He has lost confidence in the car and that is severely affecting his performance.

They didn't bring the wrong wing by mistake. They didn't have an appropriate one for the circuit at all.
Lose Newey and this is what happens. He is the genius and it shows. Everywhere he went he won and Red Bull is falling hahaha
He NEVER had a car to work with.
I would had liked for him to stay in the Racing Point.

Redbull wants to not win the constructors to get more wind tunnel time for the car next year
I believe they much rather be P3 than P2 but forgo a title for wind tunnel time? Nah, I don't buy that.
Losing newey was bigger than they expected so now they need all the time they can get
Wouldn't they need to be p4 in the constructors to work?
