No, but you wouldn't typically reuse recovered refrigerant as it can have contaminants from whatever caused the problem you are doing a repair for. Instead you would take it to a reclamation center to recycle/dispose of. What I do after recovery is recharge from a virgin R134a cylinder, thru the low side port using a regular AC gauge set.
@@DrShock Thank you for the reply, I was going to get one for 1234yf . I was going to filter it and recharge with it (because of the cost) will it recharge from the tank if it’s filtered
If you keep it in the case, you have to be careful to position/seat it so that the case is not interfering with the weighing surface of the scale. If not, you'll get an incorrect reading. Personally, I've used this tool both ways with no difference bearing that requirement in mind. I tend to leave it in the case when working on a vehicle outside, but use it out of the case if I'm working on a vehicle in an inside garage bay.
Hello I bought the same scale, however when I push the Units/Shift button, the scale doesn't allow me to switch from Kg to Ib, or oz. Is the scale defective? Am I doing something wrong?
I just checked mine, you just press the _units_ button at the top to cycle thru kg, lb, oz. I'd try checking the 9V battery first, to be sure it's up to power. And then if it's still a problem, you can email mastercool tech support from their website, they are pretty good about responding since it's a pro tool.
I have the Fieldpiece SRS3 Wireless Refrigerant Scale and I am very happy with this unit.
Excuse me, what is the purpose of the USB port that comes with the control of the scale?
This is likely for the Mastercool 98230 charging solenoid accessory
Do you have a video showing how to charge from the tank after a recovery? Thanks in advance

It says on the lid that the scale should be taken out of the case when used. Does it really matter? I prefer to keep it in the case…

Same think with my unit too
Can this be used with Small 12 oz cans of r134a?
Sure, but you'll need to be sure to account for the weight of the cans in your calculations as well as the weight of the hose and can fitting.
How can i charge it's battry
It uses a 9V battery, no charging. The battery is in the keypad.
@@DrShock thanks for information

Hi i have a VES-50 scale that keep saying over load cell, possible you can share any light on it thanks. Value brand
Hello. Is this scale made in china?
Assembled in the USA. The electronics board, or possibly other components like fasteners, are likely imported prior though.
