we need an update for Black Order with Black swan and supergiant :)
37:52 Quinn’s wrong about Thanos’s damage reduction ability. It specifies that it can only reduce damage from enemy effects. Damage from crisis cards don’t classify as enemy effects. Thanos would still take damage from crisis cards like “Intrusions”

I told you before Friends are overrated 😉 I would disagree with them being simple to play. There are alot of moving parts and 1 mistake and it's game over

I would highly recommend Jean to counter Black order. I had a Xmen/Xforce roster (needs changed with all the new toys and xforce will be better solo affiliated) that I ran and Cable, Jean, Domino, Deadpool was my choice at 16 since Deadpool can't be advanced by mind gem, and Jean's mind shield prevents the Cosmic Portal. Thanos could break this up by double moving and then portal/mind stone jean, which she will prevent one then Deadpool, but even then you have Deadpool only out of 2 and Thanos in the middle of your board. My opponent didn't like this idea but you never know. You could even treat her as a worse Scarlet witch and do this with Juggs and Mags as a splash character specifically against Thanos

Great video… I just started getting into MCP in the beginning of the year and I watch your videos religiously. I only play the villains so any of those you post I watch numerous times my personal complaint would be you include superheroes in your lists instead of pure villains.

As a web warrior player if I lose priority, and have to play demons or gamma I know it’s going to be a rough game.
Just got into the game recently, Thanos was always going to be my first purchase, and Black Order my first team.

Midnight Sons is what got me into this game, and I really enjoy them, but Black Order always intrigued me because I have to move less models. I know you say you wouldn’t suggest them as a first affiliation, but as a second affiliation for a relative noob, would you recommend?
They are great as a second affiliation, and you could probably dual affiliate them with MS
Any chance of actually listing the cards used in the description of the videos as some of the tactics cards are super hard to make out and sometimes seemingly not mentioned.

So my main question with this is, if their main method of scoring VP’s is killing with Thanos’ leadership, what do they do if your opponent focuses Thanos down and flips him early, thus depriving them of being able score that way?
they struggle and usually lose the game!
I'm very confused about how to do these t1 Thanos plays if he only starts at 3 Power. Can anyone help me understand?
He starts at 3 power, but he doesn’t pay any power to use the gems - the only thing he has to pay for is 2 power for cosmic portal

There is an affiliation list on their website under ‘organised play’

I would need to think about it, they are both probably an auto include (or at least Black Swan is) for your roster though

Is there any point to buying the affiliation pack? I don't see black dwarf or maw in either list.
This was a while back and before some other, newer characters were released. Affiliation box is still great value so I’d definitely go down that route.
I've just started playing MCP recently, why do people hate Black Order so much?
It’s by no means universal and it’s become more of a running joke than actual hatred…but at one point they we’re so far ahead (on certain setups) that you had people turning up to their first ever tourney and winning with BO.

Do Infinity Gems get "Counted" as characters for the purposes of roster building..??
Cuz u have 10 "real" characters and 2 Gems on Thanos and 1 Gem on Corvus Glaive..??

hey Jason, no - they dont count towards your 10 characters anymore, but they are bound to the characters you take them on
I think the second roster should be dual affiliation so you have a choice to fight on 14 and 15.
100%, but for this we wanted to keep it purely 1 faction, you re most likely to run Wakanda, CS, WW's etc

What’s your opinion about replacing proxima with punisher?
I really wouldn’t. You lose all of the priority control, you can no longer play execute (which is what allows Black Order to take out high threat characters), it’s one less target for mothership (and she’s the only one with a long move) and one less opportunity for blood to spare
Okay how about replacing Zeno for punisher and gamora for killmonger to triple down on vps on killing!?
Avoided buying these guys, i might eventually cave for completion's sake but the variety of play is a bit off-putting for me.
Tall lists like this ain't what i want to play every game.
I like tall lists (but I like fighting), but I've never really gelled with BO myself

thought that they did
they do not anymore (and havent since last November). Its made them a much stronger affiliation
