Spun out on the only hill in Saskatchewan😂😂😂! You gota try. It's just like the 'I can make 1 more pass close to that slough' mentality. If you make it your awesome, if you don't at least you tried!
@@SoWhatIfI... That unfortunately took out my uncle in 87.. one more pass, got stuck. Went & got the other tractor to pull it out.. chain broke & smashed his head.. his 2 oldest boys in the stuck tractor saw it all happen. Chains are bad news. (Sorry for the downer but your comment struck a chord)
Its amazing the power of those big 4 wheel drives, i went out today and was working some low spots with out 2394 with a 13 foot cultivator basically going down to the frame and it was working hard, last year we worked the same low spots with our stx450 and a 33ft cultivator same depth and the tractor didn’t even know it was there haha
Ay, Mike... That fall seeding makes spring so much less stressed... we froze out twice, and they were back to back years... most farms wait a month, what doesn't grrminate gets reseeded directly in, no reprepin... (Again, anything sprouted in the fall is a big plus $$)
Hahahah being a farmer i can tell how steep them hills are. I got some of them at my home farm too hahahaha. Camera never show how bad some of them are!!
Drilling winter wheat this fall was so dang tough I had to stop and find more weight to bolt to the tractor. I needed the extra traction to try to pull through the super hard ground. Had some places the drill didn't even go into the ground. It sucked.

Mr. Mike I’d like to see a boughgault to seed hawk trial down there an you could do it my guy. An the north farm too. Think it may perform better the hawk. I run jd conserva lump
How does seeding a week later in the spring help? Wouldn’t you want it all in as early as possible to give it the best chance to start and be covering the field by the time it gets hot and dry?
Mike, thanks for trying to beat the hill. You probably knew before you started the climb, that you wouldn't make it. But is still exciting for us to watch. 🤩
Hey Mike! Can't you drive sideways to the hills with a gps tracked seeder, that shows the tractor where to drive??? 20+% slip ??? Makes no sense. If not, what's the reason for it? Best regards from Bavaria
Hey Mike, I am a big kid too😅. I want to see when you push a John Deere 9RX830 to the limit. Please do it, on one day. Big hills, big air cart, 100 foot, or 84 foot? Please push a 9RX830 to the limit and say "come on Johnny, come on haha" 😊😂
i always thought your winters are too harsh for winter crops? did you guys always plant winter wheat because ive been watching you for about 3 years now and never noticed you did that. *edit* oops should have watched the video beforehand
@@williskinder7794 We plant it as a double crop after corn silage but it a bit too warm here yet so we usually plant mid October or else it will get too tall

Why aren’t you seeding it into mustard stubble? I think you have some? There are lots of guys seeding winter wheat this fall. Durum prices are horrible, and like you said beat the heat. I personally wouldn’t do it! Summers are short enough and to be combining in July isn’t up my alley. Pulses are bad enough to wreck a guys summer plans. Each to their own.
The new John Deere 9RX 830 is boosting to over a 1000hp I think. Just saying, but of course you know that, and money grows on trees and wheat values are super high..😅
Got to love him, try`s every year to make it up that dam hill
Its his great nemesis.
We will with the 715 next year!
That's crazy. It's unfortunate cameras don't pick it up.. doesn't matter if it's dry, wet or snow, cameras just don't do it justice
😂😂😂
I love your videos you take everything just in a relaxed additude

Man that drought is a cereal killer 😂 great video thanks Mike! I like those hill pulls
It’s amazing how you can keep track of what you have planted over thousands of acres.
Winter wheat is usually lost in the spring. If there's no cover, a warm march will make it break dormancy, then comes a hard frost and kills it.
All the best with the winter wheat. The kids song about the little engine that could came to to mind up that hill.

mike also a La Nina should deliver some more moisture through the winter for you. so i think its a good idea, the winter crop
Thanks Mike.
That Hill could be a challenge for the 9 RX 830😂

Good evening Mike.😉
Was just wondering if there update on the new case coming to the farm ?
Nice peterbuilt👌
Need to find more trucks with monster sleepers. Than you have employee housing figured out ha
Hey Mike can you please do a walk around of that new 589 Peterbilt
Hey Mike, I have a bunch of these LED lights for a Bourgault tank for sale. New in package
I have never heard of white winter wheat. I did try winter wheat once years ago.
Nice pete, can't wait to see the video of it
Delete it, get rid of the def tank and put a bigger fuel tank on like i did
Mike like Charlie Brown and that football.
Mike we need a pull off like u did before on the Protill. Find a big slough and let it rip.

Hello Mike good videos 🌾👍😉🇮🇹
Mike I understand you I love baling uphill too maken pull
Salut Mike magnifique vidéo et le tracteur et le grand semoirs et la pentes sont difficiles à monter 😂😮😅😊
Another great video... :)
Sure hope your fall seeding pays big dividends for you guys !!
You actually had 70% slip according to your monitor 😉

Awsome ! I think I saw 70!!
73 I seen for a quick glimpse
Beautiful video
I wonder how that 715 would of handled that hill?😂
Or the 830 9rx
830 would pull the 715 up that hill. Hehe
@@Ole_CornPop hehe 😂😂
Why not seed the hill ground on the contour rather than up/down the hill?
Great videos.
I saw 70% for a split second

It would be interesting if you would get a opportunity to demo that 840 JD 4 track what that would do on that hill
Love your seeding and combine kids. Would a Quadtrac do better on the steep hills with a wide track?
Wheel spin = tillage of field :)
Hey Mike would you demo a new Holland cr 11 combine looks an awesome machine 50ft Mac don header
Might as well go with the 61’ head if he’s goin with that big of a combine.

Question what is fall rye used for ?
I'm thinking hog feed butttt don't know .
We raise it here for cover crop .
Winter rye can used for bread making, rye beer or for feed.
Mostly feed and as cover crop

Time for a 715 quad or a full grown johnny popper 830
Everyone saying you need more power isn’t using their head. If the tractor is spinning you need more traction/weight not power!
Would you consider getting a new higher horsepower tractor such as JD or Case 715?
I saw 70%😂😂
Is that a hard white winter wheat or a soft white?
Get a quad Mike, would of pulled that hill with 20 percent less slip and hp
Is there a reason you don't tackle that hill right before you are empty?
Where are you getting the seed from?
Stamps 👍
Just like a STEER. Keeps trying lol
Get some titan tires Mike

Mike you ever tried stripper(shelbourne) head to leave more stubble? Maybe catch a little more snow🤷🏻♂️
Why not seed the hill if it gives u that much trouble always going down. With auto row shut off u can always clean up later
Pull a smaller drill ,and you will climb your hills without making a mess, here's your sign
Do your brothers also do Winter wheat?
No

You need to make arrangements and try that new John Deere 4 track with 800 horsepower
And spin out going up the hill

950 if you're using a lot of hydraulics like on an air seeder.
He’s not running out of power with what he has. Traction is the issue.
Although he did power out a case 620 on a hill a couple years ago. Down shifted until it stopped.
Power isn’t the issue it’s traction….
@@robhartshorn6823 Traction requires weight so you can either weight a smaller tractor beyond manufacturers recommendations or get a bigger tractor.
