This is a Porsche 911 restoration that was abandoned in 1994 after being converted to a race car. My plan is a twin turbo Subaru EZ30 porsche engine swap with 400+ HP to the wheels. Stay tuned.

Mike you do nice work , using a well engineered swap, kit is worth it’s weight in gold I will say if one of your customers has to drill a hole. It’s always best to include some sort of a template. Years ago I bought a kit from this company called John’s cars. It was to swap a Chevy engine into a jaguar and to make sure that you had the skill to do the job they sold you . A version of the installation manual which was incredibly detailed, but it left out all of the ideals that you could steal.? The Point was to make sure that the customer knew what they were getting into and to see if you had the ability to do the job before they sold the kit anyway the kit came with a manual written by NASA to do the job and every detail you needed .It was outstanding kit well engineered it was not cheap, but it was worth every penny. And I had the car over 10 years and it was very reliable.

Interesting, I'm in the midst of a 912E Backdate as well, I chose to keep the stock front latch panel, extend the hood and modify the length of the front latch. Can't say it's less work, just different. I chose to lose the front bumper mounts back to the rear shock bolt mount. Had to learn plastic welding techniques to modify the oversized washer tank to clear the new turn signal housing. A rear bumper mount solution is where I am just now, along with a ridiculous amount of body work this car required, rusty NW car. I'm a hobby dude working in my garage too. Thanks for sharing your efforts, apparently, I'm still trainable!

Ps next time you have a screw “ Phipps head or torx” stripped out just put some valve grinding compound in it and use hand pressure
The compound will grab both the screw and tool and will not slip

I love my G-Body 911 🙂 ... 300 bhp is a heck of a jump from 245 bhp stock, just from ECU tuning and presumably free flowing intake/exhaust? Curious to see how this one goes!

Really looking forward to the progress as i love the work you have done on the cars. I have a question, in the vw bus world its common to swap out the wasserboxer for a subaru but with the subaru gearbox and reverse CWP. any reason you did not use the 6 speed subaru box?
Because we have a nice 5 speed Porsche box that doesn't need replacing. :)
