Hey Collins Bros. fam, we would all love to see another video a week. Not a CW really, but just an 'update' type thing, or just a 15-20 walk around the shop to see what's being worked on. You all have outstanding editing and content quality! So naturally... WE WANT MORE! Lol. (AND, it would effectively double your YT watch time ;)
@@scoobydoo7443 I was thinking of the restoration projects they are doing now. I know Dennis has to be quite busy, but it seems like the millenials may have enough time between CW episodes to produce a short video about the status of restorations, acquisitions that didn't make CW, and maybe what the guys are working on. Collins Bros. is way more than a parts shop now, and I can't be in the minority of people who would love to see more content. I'm sure we would all love to see completed Jeeps with the Black Mountain treatment as well. Dennis' knowledge has rubbed off on Alex over the years, and that young man impresses me more and more. He's a hell of a mechanic! Either way, new vids or not, I'm a fan for life! By the way, my Dad had that exact same car, (bought in 1969) without the soft rear window. It had what he called a race motor from the factory, but the paperwork was lost along the way. He traded if for a Lotus Europa john Player Special, but he loved the 912 so much more than any other car he ever owned. We tried to get a runner as a father and son project for a few years, then the prices just got silly. We lost dad on Father's Day this year (2022), but I still am on the search for a somewhat affordable 912 to restore and pass on to my kids. I completely respect your comment Scoobydoo, I see your point of view. My comment was just very wishful thinking! I'd love more people to chime in!
Agreed but I will be satisfied with anything they can produce. It takes a lot of time and effort to do what they are doing now. To produce more content the quality might suffer and I don't want that to happen.
Also, it would be great if Kelsey did a video once a week going over her favorite project or just showcasing a completed rescue. That would reach out to a new demographic and broaden their fan base.
Dennis, we've been seeing you buy a lot of these classic Porsche which is great but what we really want to see is the actual restoration and seeing them run. You guys are awesome and keep up the good work!
Again, another awesome video from the Coffee Walk crew. I'm originally from Pa and some FYI for you and your fans, where I grew up everybody ate scrapple. It's good with ketchup or maple syrup. As for what's in Scrapple? it's whatever is left over from the pig after you used everything else, or as we called it the sweepins or whatever got swept up got cooked up. Again thanks for the great video!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep-em coming.
Some people are a guidepost of how to treat others. Dennis is one of those. Kind, respectful, fair, and treats everyone with the same respect. Well done my man!
Throughout the Porsche 912's initial 4-year production run, there were just over 32,860 examples produced. Of those, just 2,562 cars were Targa models.
You should consider getting a set of Guniwheels, would improve drastically the time you take to recover on site the cars. They fit different bolt patterns, and are able to spin, allowing to recover cars with stuck brakes.
The 912 registry lists 66 were built in 1968 and a total of 120 currently listed in the registry were produced from 1966 to 1969.Hope this helps what a find.
Scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other trimmings, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth. Once cooked, bones and fat are removed, the meat is reserved, and (dry) cornmeal is boiled in the broth to make a mush.
Another great video Dennis. Love the updates addition. Speaking of, the Trans Am. When cars were built of steel with minimal plastic, that when you close the drivers door, the whole car shimmies. Unlike the disposable vehicles nowadays.
Dennis I wanna thank you for doing Coffee Walk cause at the age of 62 i continuosly learn more every time and I want to wish you and your employees and families and your family a Merry Christmas and a better 2023 thank you all and god bless
In Pennsylvania scrapple is the leftovers from the butcher of a pig, all mixed together and cooked into blocks. Roughly Actual 5 x 10 blocks of "scrap" meats. Hence the name Scrapple. Typically severed with breakfast by itself. Fantastic with syrup and sugar to top it!
I had a 1961 356B 1600 Super and a 1977 911S Targa. I used to see a few of the Soft Window 912s and always wanted one. I didn't think they were so rare. Scrapple has everything but the oink in it.
It was mainly Bill Mitchell, I've owned mine since 1984 with a 400- 4 speed ironically it still has the original ziebart on there but never retouched,, had it done right after I bought it with 17,000 miles and I believe that's what saved it even though it's never been driven in a Midwestern winter although it was put on there with a little bit more care than what this car showed, It just turned over 70,000 miles this past summer. 10 to 12 miles to the gallon.💸💸💸 Oh well it still makes me smile. ✌️
Scrapple is simply the left over meat that cannot be cut off the bones that is boiled down off the bone. They add cornmeal and some seasonings and that’s what you get. It gets a bad name but it doesn’t have all that stuff that people think.
I was wondering how Dennis would react to scrapple. My parents are from that area, and they love it. I don't care for it. It is usually a breakfast side to eggs. I've never heard of putting it on a burger. I know someone who has/had a 911/912 Targa Soft Window, in that same color, IIRC. You know him too, Dennis. His is/was perfectly restored.
Dennis the Porsche is an outstanding find.....so cool! I was just getting my drivers license when the T-top Trans Am thing hit the streets! Wow I was crazy about them though it had to be a 6.6, T-top & 4 speed version for me! However I was just a kid at the beginning of this so I had to wait a bit to get one! Finally I bought a 79 Gold Edition, T-top, 4 speed Trans Am with 29K miles. I kept it ten years and it only had 32K miles. I got laid off from a middle class job and with a young family I had to sell the car. I now have a 12K miles Parnelli Jones Mustang that is cooler than hell but to this day I still miss my Trans Am! Thanks for posting such cool content! I always look forward the next video!
Hey Boss , I know y'all love them forklifts, but for ba lot of the cars y'all chase , a 5519 Geni would be Great 4 x 4 plus all wheel steer . Only you may need to add a little weight to the back. Strong machine with reach. And super hard to get stuck !!!!! Plus not as heavy as your big lift. Always been a car guy , just waiting on those winning p b number s. Y'all keep up the good work.
I have one of the 4 speed 79 anniversary silver 4 speed t/a with about 77000 miles certainly needs work but it's a true 79 anniversary t/a .Someday I hope it gets into the shape it deserves to be
I love the cars, but I also love the food! I grew up in that area of the country and Scrapple was a Saturday/Sunday breakfast staple in my house. My dad loved it. I haven’t had it in years.
Am so glad I came across your channel, The cars and your knowledge is fantastic. I have alot of back videos to watch which is great.best wishes & stay healthy
Hi from Australia again. Awesome episode - long time viewer. That's the way to do an update - some original footage to jog the memory. Outstanding quality video. Love it - keep it up.
Dennis, scrapple contains everything but the oink! Regional favortite and yours was likely sourced from Delaware, huge scrapple producer. That burger looks awesome!
My grandfather use to make scrapple when the butchered hogs. When they were done getting what meat they could off the bones they would through it into a kettle. It would boil all day. All the little pieces would settle to the bottom of the pot. They would pour it out and cool it then slice it. I always thought it was more like spam.

Dennis I found something you might want to come pick up soon in FT Worth 1955 Triumph S..all there will need a frame off and floors , this car with your expertise could be a pebble Beach show stopper, I have two pics and where it is and the owner says he is looking to sell,I also have a Lead on that 69 MGB convertible, there both near buy my house , south west FT Worth. So let’s get your cup of Joe and let’s go 😎
The '68 912 would have had Solex 40PII-4 carbs vs. what appears to be Webers, and 1-year only fender reflectors near the turn signals. I agree with 1,217 soft window Targas as offered by @sheepwolf1st. The spin-on oil filter was not stock. 'Winged' door handles and the later 2-bolt horn grilles are correct.
I was afraid that the video would be shorter than usual since getting the car went so easier and quicker than most are. As always I wish that they were even longer. Keep up the good work.
That TA is beautiful. It reminds me of High School My best friend had a midnight blue with 6.6. They pin stripped the bird on the hood and clear coated it. It was beautiful. Cruising with the T tops off down the drag.
Hi Dennis . Possibly the most straightforward buys you've ever made . Replaced a complete front end on a 912 including the bulkhead in around 1978/9 , it had been very poorly repaired. You're not afraid of trying anything once , that scrapalicious burger ......you're the tops Dennis but you really do have the team behind you . Thankyou .
I basically know nothing about Porsches other than they look cool as hell. I've always liked the 911 shape but I never knew they made a 912. Very cool car
Next time you're in western North Carolina, you gotta try livermush. It's like scrapple, but better. And you can't go with just any brand of livermush. It has to be Hunt's.
First thing my eyes caught was that M151 Jeep. I remember being the driver for our Company Commander and going everyplace and I mean everyplace with one of those. Oh and nice Porsche as well.
Great video as always, that Trans Am is a really nice car, really low miles. I would love to see the GTO again, keep the videos coming. Always a pleasure to watch such friendly and respectful people at work.
Not too many international people know this but, but the Dutch highway patrol from when they first became available used Porsche 911s targas to keep other road users Inline they never drove with the roof on and we're suitably dressed according to the weather condition, I grew up in that era and can remember on many occasions seeing them parked on an overpass watching traffic, after all there was nothing around in those days that could outrun a white Porsche with flashing blue lights
The best part of Friday!
Yes sir
No doubt about it
Yes it is the best part of Friday....but also there's Friday Morning 🌄 Model Cars and Coffee ☕

Yea I'd love to travel the world and watch him rip people off

Nice . So now maybe 1,500 or less targa’s left .
More specifically he wanted to know how many were soft backs.
Congratulations on everything you have done in your life Dennis
You are living the dream
I love watching your videos
"Teamwork makes the dream work!"
Love it!
Thank you to whoever decided not, I repeat not to spin the tires at 14:23 mark. There was no need and the car looked so nice driving away normally.

Best time capsul on the 79 Trans Am Dennis!! Good job!
You were 40 miles south of my area! I've lived here all my life and I never had scrapple, for good reasons......LOL.
Nothing rides like the old Trans AM's, Firebird's and Camaro's ...fit like a glove!!
One and done? Dennis didn't bring his flashlight? Outstanding as usual!
Great find. The 912 looks in great condition considering. Can't wait to see it cleaned and polished 😍
unbelievable condition!
I'd LOVE to see an update on this Porsche after they get it all cleaned up!!
You can see why people converted the car top, that thing just looks wrong, but now it makes the car worth more

9:25 born and raised in MD I've had scrapple all my life usually with eggs and waffles but never thought to do a burger with it.
That's also missing from my collection too.
I bought a 1968 912, Bahama yellow in 1971 when I came back from Vietnam….I loved that car…..
great find! i saw one of these cars in a grocery store parking lot maybe 40 years ago in South Carolina. never forgot it and always wanted one.
Love at minute 9:09 "outstanding" = standing outside
Former LU student & basketball player right here. Yes, I rocked the Orange and Blue for the Lions of LU.

That's cool. I drive by that place every day. Never thought I would see you guys in Lincoln university. Talked to Roger about that M151 years ago.
Grew up eating scrapple and still do. Everything left over after the butcher is done. You were about an hour north of me in this video.
Yummm, Scrapple! It's an area thing! Great for breakfast. Has to be cooked in a black cast iron frying pan that is already seasoned.

Cool Porsche, we’d love to see the whole collection please.
The style of these never look dated, Luv to see it after a wash and paint clean up.

I can somewhat relate to your story. ✌️
Mike Rowe did a Dirty Jobs episode where they showed how Scrapple is made. And Oh Hell No would I eat that.
Hey Dennis remember when we were kids most of the cars you hunt down, are what we saw hundreds of them driving around. The best time ever to grow up

Shot some pool in the “ote “ !!!
Cool You we’re in town !!!
Well, I finally got through them all. Thank you. In a year, I will be able to go through them all again, to catch what I missed. :)
66 soft window 912 targas were built in 1968 and approx 120 porsche 912's are in the Hemmings registry...
I would've drove to Lancaster to meet you guys!! Please hold a meet and greet when you go to the different states to buy cool cars and trucks!
Loved Scrapple my whole life it's big in Delaware valley.
Hey Dennis and crew! I most often watch Coffee Walk on TV and not able to comment there. Just wanted to drop y'all a note letting you know I love watching your videos. Thanks so much! Pat n Florida.
I bought a 1981 Trans Am new that had every option including four wheel disc brakes except for 8 track player and turbocharger. It was the Barclay Brown with the gold bird and gold snowflake wheels. It was a very pretty car but with the 301 Buick motor it was a real slug in the performance category.
In 1926, two brothers, Ralph and Paul Adams, founded the RAPA Scrapple manufacturing plant in Bridgeville, Delaware.
I'm not a Porsche expert I'm just a Porsche expert on liking them. Lol. Nice car!
I grew up on scrapple.. good stuff down there in Oxford!
Dennis said " it's a German thing" on the food and so is,,,, A PORSCHE YES NICE save/ SCORE one more 4 the Coffee walk crew.
I love how James even with Dennis is like “ yes sir” or “ yes ma’am” with the waitress
That man shows respect all the time, regardless of it's his boss, or the cashier at a gas station. True gentleman.
A man who was raised right. My mother always told me, manners are free and you never run out of them. James is my kind of guy.
A true southern gentleman.
Oh , yes he’s very polite !
His positive attitude helps make the show! Agreed, true gentleman!
Dennis,
Had the opportunity to meet you at your shop a couple months ago. I am from Pennsylvania. Scrapple is mad from boiler the meat off the bones, grinding the meat and adding buckwheat flower and seasoning. You fry it in a pan and eat it with syrup.
Scrapple, never had it,but we have a similar local delicacy called goetta,in northern ky,only difference is ones made with oats and one with cornmeal....love the show dennis
1966 912 just came up for sale in North Georgia.
I drive past that house a few times a week. Knew he had some old stuff but not that. Shoulda stopped by one day
Dennis I found something you might want to come pick up soon in FT Worth 1955 Triumph S..all there will need a frame off and floors , this car with your expertise could be a pebble Beach show stopper, I have two pics and where it is and the owner says he is looking to sell,I also have a Lead on that 69 MGB convertible, there both near buy my house , south west FT Worth. The FUCHS look awesome on the 912 . period correct and make her a little sportier . Takes it from the Vdub look to the Porsche it should be 😎
I don’t know much about Porsches, but 128 is the Euro motorcade!
I was afraid that the video would be shorter than usual since getting the car went so easier and quicker than most are. As always I wish that they were even longer. Keep up the good work.

I can tell you whats outstanding , thats working for Dennis Collins !! One cool dude in my book !! Lol .......👍
the way you man handle the fork buddy is something ive never seen but it works????? you wouldnt want to be in a rush thats for shore

This is my first car when I was 16, had 36,000 miles with the 4spd. Wish I still had it. They were 8500 produced with 1500 with the 4spd.
wow! wow! wow! To find that car for sale, and it being fantastically preserved. A lot of labor there, but that Porche has nice bones.
I basically know nothing about Porsches other than they look cool as hell. I've always liked the 911 shape but I never knew they made a 912. Very cool car
Wow what a find …think u saved that car not sure how many more years it could sit out there without some significant rust

That Trans Am is beautiful
Nice Dennis, I have a 1968 Porshe 912 in silver. Miss that car.
I grew up on scrapple, very common in MD area. It is in every grocery store
Very nice Porsche. Judging from this video, I agree with your patina idea.
There are many different versions of scrapple. My father lover his scrapple. Commonly has onion, and some organ meats as well as same quality cuts.
love these videos and espically the eatingand learning about cars. I bet working for Dennis is a blast
I can't believe, with all the good options available on the market, you haven't picked up a good flashlight
First thing my eyes caught was that M151 Jeep. I remember being the driver for our Company Commander and going everyplace and I mean everyplace with one of those. Oh and nice Porsche as well.

Scrapple is a main breakfast item all up and down the East Coast! What a meal, enjoy!! It’s everything but the squeal!! 😂
