Hi hunn👋 I find out the best ideas for NEW ways to play so refreshing as when I play my friend thinks I’m odd. Etc- YING/YANG mixed up personality Sims so theirs always tension and I’m always making them talk and sort it out I have owned the other worlds but use them for activities/holidays/honeymoon. And as always Satch love your content and refreshing game play ideas from you and your community ❤ you are our micro superstar 🌟🤩
tell me your secrets. in the sims 3 i could turn any sim into a multigenerational home, but i really struggle with that in 4. i have some idea why, but i am always curious how others manage.
@@Jay_and_Meeka I first did a legacy challenge with the scoresheet and all so it was a lot of fun and sometimes even challenging. Then I started a new game with the 10th generation sim and decided to complete all collections. So far I've completed 18 😄 Atm I kinda consider each generation a new game. I move around a lot to different worlds and explore different things while collecting stuff. I also mostly play Rags to Riches style so it really is fun and challenging.
Does the game not actually lag the more generations you go? I read a few posts from some people in reddit about how their saves started to lag the more generations they go which kinda discourages me from doing a legacy save yet.
The older packs need some refreshing. Just like Spa Day had recently. A very nice thing with Spa Day is that kids who practice yoga build their mental AND motor skills simultaneously. Kids seem to like yoga and, in my experience, often practice it autonomously. Then, with Parenthood, it also improve their emotional control. I DO have some Sims that started as babies and are on the verge to age up to elder... Medium life span. I have two who have ALL the reward traits including several from mods, have maxed out ALL the base game skills and some more, and it's getting arduous to find them new aspirations when they complete one. Jungle Adventure have some replay value. With each vacation, the temple changes completely. Also, with some luck, you can find a second lost temple. I like Vampires, but without the vampires part... I'd get it, but only with that mod that turn any vampire showing up into normal Sims. I LOVE the scientist career. I love the simsray, especially with the transform objects improvement. Go on a lot and transform everything in sight, like all the art work in a museum🤪😈😇 And what about that satellite dish and the bladder accident epidemic, in a crowded place. In Seasons, I positively hate that neighbourhood brawl day and the way it creep on you unexpectedly. That sneaky one always appear less than a week before it happen. There should be a way to totally disable it. Apart from that, can't live without. Island living : Great world, bad game play. Give a knitting kit to a kid and he'll start knitting all by himself. Also apply to older Sims. Found myself with a teen Sim with a knitting skill of 6 WITHOUT me ever having to ask him to knit anything. Don't you hate it when you DON'T have Bust the Dust and your Sim just want to vacuum the house ?
Im still mad they made dream home decorater a pack instead of putting it in get to work.. like wtf in the sims 3 ambitions we had so many different career options :(
Regarding Parenthood: though I admittedly don’t play many families in TS4, I will always be highly amused watching teen sims doing that mopey/moody walk! It just makes me laugh every time I see it. 😂
Discover Uni is my favorite pack for gameplay. I love the time management challenge! Even with my normal family homes, I'll often have one of the parents go to Uni while living at home.
I remember back when I first got Sims 4. When it first came out base game was just awful. I couldn't believe how empty it was. It's better now than it was then, but I still couldn't play without all or most of the packs. There's just not enough there, which I guess is the point. They want you to buy packs. I must be the only simmer you literally plays with only one family/one save file. I just turn off aging, and if they happen to accidentally die I use a death flower to bring them back.
One of the biggest off putting things is the lack of crossover with the pack, like Outdoor’s herbalist with the spell caster and jungle packs. I’m sure we’d all love the return of those 2 trait slots, I usually use a mod to cheat extra traits, but not everyone can do that (console).
Myself, i only have the same save i've used since mid 2017 or so, and had just played as the same character (my simself, took a break for maybe a couple years or so from TS4) until last year abouts, when i began to create other sims thanks to this one mod mod for sims that certainly makes them look different (different races, so yes furries & whatnot, we all play TS4 how we like to play it) along with a few others like that over time. And since last year, my simself has had 29 children so far (and will certainly increase) to different people. And one family (the one with the biggest lineage), the house filled up fully so one of them needed to go to another place & have her 3 kids, then moved back home once they were teens. That second household is 7 sims full, 3 of them are of the same generation, the first household has 4 of the same generation (3 being the second generation who live there still, one of them lives with my simself). All are still alive, i play with aging off. So with that lineage, it'll soon be 11 generations strong. Not as much as others, but sure is a fair few. That family tree is a big of a spaghetti mess too we'll say as well. And each generation has been raised well, all of them were brought up to be nice sims & the like. A lengthy way to say each of the soon to be 30 children & climbing all turned out to be polite as adults & young adults too, but there you go
"Nobody plays The Sims 4 with one save file long enough to see their sims be polite as adults." - WAIT, WHAT? :D Anyone has more than 1 save file? :DD I mean, I have several, too, but all of them are just backups of the main one :)
I just moved to the UK and found out that clothes dryers are less common here than in the US. Clothes dryers vastly improve the laundry experience imo.
10:28 mate as a university student that's what it is it yeah I get hang out some times but you for everything. Also the sims is a LIFE simulation its supposed to be realistic. ...All ocult packs and Ghosts. Ignore those
if discover university has 100 haters i am one. if discover university has one hater i am it. if discover university has zero haters, i am no longer living and breathing. seriously, i’m an actual college student and i feel like i have more free time than those poor sims 😢
As someone who bought island living i CANNOT put into words how much i want a refund edit: I want them to refresh outdoor retreat and add bigfoot just in that world. And i want my sims to either be able to hunt it or befriend it
Well, the volcanic activity lot trait is nice. Get your Sims frightened, and occasionally litter your lot with volcanic bombs that you can harvest for some collectibles. Also, makes for some nice tatting places.
I actually quite like it simply cause it's easy to keep sims fit by having them swim around?? Idk lmao I really enjoy it but I don't bother with mermaids or the vehicles, so I can understand wanting a refund
Not for me, but, some times, my Sims want to do the laundry, even without Laundry Day. And pass the vacuum without Dust the Dust, or vote for the neighbourhood action plan, again WITHOUT Eco Lifestyle. Waiting for one to want to get a Murphy bed without Tiny Living...
Nah, sims 4 is a framework for emergent storytelling with all around shallow gameplay. Every feature gets equally boring after a few tries individually, but weaving stories from a bunch of them combined is where the fun is. Great for streaming with friends or multiplayer, too. That being said, the main thing I take away from this vid is that Satch likes to mess around with old people, or something. I think there's a term for that :P
For me, jungle adventure gave me "colonist" vibes (even though I know it's really supposed to be more Indiana Jones like) and that's why I don't play it.
I love seeing the perspective of PC players (I have been playing The Sims series on a console for 9 years, so I know how painful it is to have no mods and not even all of the packs and having to restart the game every couple of hours), it is so painful, and since all the packs I have, the UI is too bloaty and it makes it LAG. Also, we get ALL updates late and city living, dining out, discover university, and eco-lifestyle DON'T WORK. They are selling FAULTY PRODUCTS TO CONSOLE PLAYERS!!! It sucks, as I grew up playing with a controller, and they are tricking CHILDREN (like 9-13 year old CHILDREN) into buying broken products. That's nasty.
I disagree, I think people are as harsh on journey to batuu as they need to be. It’s a cynical capitalistic cash grab with little to no value added to the game because of it. So yeah, worse than homework in my book. Literally because I’ve had to read Adam smith for homework in uni and he was less cringe capitalism than batuu lmao
Yes, batuu is BAD. Got bored about it quite fast. Two of my Sims each started one of it's aspirations, aborted the «vacation»/internment camp before finishing up the second stage. One of them didn't even finish the first stage... Luckily, at the time, I played a pirated copy of the game. Now legitimate. That was a kind of «try it before you buy» thing.
In 2023 big publisher/devs are still not giving money to modders so that the mod can be implemented into the game not everyone playes on a high end pc there are people on console ffs
Hay SachOnSims, have you tried the mod by Spinning Plumbob called Expanded Mermaides? It makes them more interesting and you get sea witches and Selkirs with this mod if it is something you are interested in.
you should rank sims on how iconic they are
Omg yessss
Judith Ward gets S tier (unfortunately)
Bella Goth is #1 for me. I also really like Mayor Whiskers.
You have the most unique laugh 😜

Me, just reaching the 20th generation in my game: 😶
😂😂
I can't make it to the 2nd Gen 99% of the time 😂

I’m on gen 7 of a legacy and it’s just getting old and it’s getting hard to find spouses 😂 but I’m trying to stick with it and finish it.

There is a mod that helps finish university faster, so instead of 12 courses you can do 8, 6 or 4. Works perfect. I recommend!
I adore Outdoor Retreat and still use it all the time, but I do think it could use a refresh like Spa Day got.
Your laugh is so loud and intense. I love it.

I also work with one or two families at most. Their my OCs, so I am already too attached to them. Lol.
One of the biggest off putting things is the lack of crossover with the pack, like Outdoor’s herbalist with the spell caster and jungle packs.

This is such a FUN ranking video of Sims 4 packs based on FUN!

@@Kualinar Yeah but it's not worth the money
@@meh9677 Then, you need to go further down about 100 notches on the 0 to 10 value scale to find Journey to Batuu...

I’m crying at the wedding stories part 😂😂😂

ty! I'm planning on getting a game pack (maybe two) for my birthday so this video was very helpful

6:02 there actually is mod that fixes my wedding stories. It's does not fix it 100% but it does work for some things
I bought Laundry Day and Cats & Dogs just for the rugs in Build/Buy.
Actually the little campers kit I think comes with a lot of gameplay for a kit, there is a tent, and a really pretty projector and I think more but ya
Hiii satch its me again playing sims with your videos in the backgound 😂💕
I only like island living for fishing cuz u get cool thing and they sell for a lot of money 😂
Props for editing in all that B-roll
