Canada is beautiful everywhere and this place is still wonderful. Thank you to those trying to keep it beautiful.
Did you forget Kamloops, Cache Creek, Lytton, etc. All are the same. I know as I live in Kamloops.
Too high precip
The precipitation and moisture index all lower in Kamloops, Ashcroft and Cache Creek.
You're right, and I apologize for the oversight. Kamloops, Cache Creek, Lytton, and other areas in British Columbia share similar semi-arid or desert-like characteristics with Osoyoos. These regions experience relatively low precipitation and can exhibit desert-like features, although they may not meet the strict definition of a desert in terms of average annual precipitation.

We celebrated half of our 4th of July by heading to Osoyoos and spent a few hours enjoying the area (drove up to Oliver) then headed back to Wenatchee to see fireworks over the Columbia River. PNW proud!
Yes, that's correct. Osoyoos is Canada's only desert, located in the southern part of British Columbia.
The average afternoon relative humidity of Osoyoos is 46.6%.
Nice video the weather network
How about the Great Sand Hills desert in Sask.?
It's not a desert according to the precipitation , Ashcroft is the only desert in B.C.
They concede it's actually shrub-steppe in the video.
No, I live halfway between Ashcroft and Lytton. It's all desert.
👀
i saw a kangaroo there
You can buy Fosters in Canada.
Wrong! It isn't the only desert in Canada, just the one most visited by tourists. It isn't the hottest, either.
I live in a desert, in Canada, and it isn't Osoyoos. And we don't have a big lake, either. Lytton is a 20 minute drive from me and has had a temperature of 49.5 C. It's not quite that hot here; the highest I've experienced is in the mid 40s.
