Always informative no matter the subject, nice shop, truck, old saws, new saws, chains and bars. I learn more by watching Westcoast Saw than any other channel around. Female Loggers are top notch, little smoke jumper gal come out black as soot every time, I watch the way they study trees. You and Anton way back in tall timber, priceless.

I have spent an absurd number of hours on that grinder, I have another in the attic for a spare, I use a profiled CBN wheel on ours. Your not kidding about the fiddly adjustments. Every time I try to get it to be repeatable Left vs right I’ve chased my ass to get it back again!! I also use a BELL belt driven round grinder every day!
Now give us a lesson on a “Bar Shop” I have 2 of those as well.
Thanks for everything you do Gordy and Lauren!

I definitely want to look into building a chain grinder. I work with a couple old toolmakers that would be infinitely helpful designing the mechanisms. Im a cnc guy that uses technology but these older toolmakers had to use all sorts of jig grinders and setups just like that years ago to make cutters and things. They are much more skilled than i am in my opinion. Technology and software are great, and it takes some skill and knowledge to program but these guys are truly skilled at what they do. Ill pick their brains and see if we cant build a grinder.

Thanks for reviewing the Bell K-6 Gordy. The build quality of this machine is amazing! I would love to own one. It is unfortunate how rare they are. I may have to build one like it.

2:42 definitely a better grinder than all the Silvey chain grinders! Pretty convenient for a quick chain sharpening!

I enjoy watching you enjoy your tools. Are you Stihl making the clutch cover for Husky 592?

Dang, that machine is slicker than snot! "drink holder", now you're talking Gordy, good idea for a future video you can do, lol
Marker trick, now that is a trick of the trade, nice trick to show us. And I thought my Timberline was slick and easy, but your Bell is slick, quick and easy!

Now that's a project for you Gordy develop a square grinder that doesn't cost a bajillion dollars. So us East Coast guys can get in the game.

Gordy, do you prefer the Silvey over the Simington, or is it just a case of they both have their pluses and minuses?

Was it part of the Bell Saw Company? If so they were bought put by TimberKing. Wonder how many of these older sharpeners are sitting around and no one knows what they are. Just grandpa's old junk.
