@@ryanforster8761 second solution, wake up, who's gonna save us, all torn down, west end riot, save the day.. Probably easier to get all their albums on Spotify and play them back to back
This was oddly enough the band that started my journey into punk music. Heard this song in an X games commercial and bam rest was kinda history. Great album
@@sham9505 yeah!! it's really cool! thats actually how they first met, Chris and Scott sent a letter (with a t shirt and a tape) to Green Day's manager and they were put as the opening band for the aussie tour!! (they also met again when the American Idiot musical came down to aus, because Chris played St. Jimmy, and i blieve TLE played for Green Day at Hyde Park in 2017)!!
The first time I stood at a picket line was during the Patrick dispute, in support of the wharfies at the (now former) Darling Harbour docks. It has been said that Darling Harbour had a small turnout compared to the main Sydney one at Port Botany but they were one of the most hardline radical. That would not be too much of a surprise, not much media presence there and easily slipped under the radar.
Roll on We'll roll on with our heads held high Our conscience in the gutter Our dreams up in the sky The ship yards are deserted on the docks on Melbourne town The wharfies standing strong They gathered round to see what the union had to say There's too much work and not enough pay Say! We'll protest in peace keep the whole thing quiet The last thing needed is a wage-fuelled riot 'Cos they don't really care They're always standing there Running from the outside From the outside Running from the outside world Do you really care? For those confused....this is Punkabilly. Due to the upright double bass whereas Punk uses electric guitars, as well as Punkabilly being a subgenre of Rockabilly. Psychobilly deals more with the darker, more taboo issues such as sex and death. Rockabilly is a blend of 50's rock n' roll and country, along with other things. But all in all, it's music that should be appreciated. ^_^ I just hope this clears some things up. Wikipedia is good to get an overall sense of genres and subgenres. Love TLE!

@RicardoSaid Likely because Green day is responsible for introducing Living end to the U.S audience. They brought them in to open for them for a festival, and a tour I believe.
I doubt anyone remembers this: but they used this song in their promos for the X-Games back in the OG days (don’t remember the year but I’m thinking 2000/2001
one of Australia's greatest and most underrated bands
Totally. Loved the live music scene in Melbourne in the mid 90s
any other good songs besides pictures in the mirror and prisoner of society?
AWESOME sound, and there's only three of them. They're amazing !

Bodyjar I think is Australia's most underrated band ever.
Best song Green Day never wrote! Was hooked the first time I heard it.
This could easily be mistaken for being a Green Day song
The Living End should go on tour with Green Day.
Billie Joe can't play as good as this though 1:32
Watching this in 2023, after a random conversation reminded about the band and song. Still damn good.

You and me both brother. I'm about to turn 31. Was 11 years old when I randomly bought a mixtape cd to skate to with my buddies and this was on it.
Same. Saw these guys in Detroit at my first concert when I was 12( 31 now). Helluva show.
I'm 36. Listened to this in High School and saw them at Warped Tour. I loved them. They had like a modern Pistols vibe.
I`m only at 27 yet, but I`m feeling the same thing as all you guys there too
been listening to them since I was a kid, thanks to my parents. still love this band.
First time I've heard this song in 20 years. Never forgot it decided I should look it up.
