I worked at Publix for almost 4 years and this really made me happy. You guys are doing gods work. If you’re ever in Tampa I do videos as well and would love to do something like this with you guys.
Those are the hardest working employees in the grocery industry, if you don’t live in the south I feel sorry for you because Publix is the best regular grocery store in America, truly. I’ve been to just about all of the countries chains and there’s no comparison.
Yeah, screw that. It's ridiculous. Like those workers don't make much, and if someone literally offers them money, they are supposed to turn it down?? Like I get not asking on a receipt or something. But if it's just offered, yeah, take it. I tipped drive through workers during the height of the pandemic when it was insane.
First employee is wise beyond his years and he doesn’t look a day older than 17. The cycle of life can be vicious and tiresome when living with anger or regret
Anyone remember Kash n' Karry? Worked there and a little old lady tried to give me a tip and I declined as it was against store policy. "If she can take it (points to another cashier) you can too!" and jams $2 in my hand. Sweet lady. Glad Publix allows tips - I'll request help out now (and ask 2x).
If customer ask if I can accept tips, I don't accept because you never know which one is a mystery shopper and would rat you out on taking the money. 😮
Yea. Board of directors completely wiped all the good benefits associates used to have back when Jenkins was running the company. Publix now is worse to work at than Walmart.
Nah definetly NOT worse than Walmart. The pay and benefits aint the same, but as someone who works there, it 1000% is going downhill. All the longtime workers i work with notice it too, lots of striping down on benefits, bonuses were reduced until they were just removed completely, now recently we only get evaluation for a raise a year even though 2 years ago we had 2 evaluations a year. Sick pay is being changed, some positions are being removed. prices have gone up like crazy but somehow raises are less. Gallon of water used to be 60-70 cents 3 years ago now theyre $1.12 or more . Lots of push for private investors it seems.@@Strange_Man1911
Yeah but customers hand me like $5-$10 tips I always ask “are you sure?” Or I say “technically we’re not allowed” but if they just really want to or say it’s ok I take it. Like a $5 tip ain’t gonna do anything honestly.
Love these guys
That money was such a help for me after a pretty rough day

First dude said what I needed to hear, I just hope it’s not too late because it has been building up in me and I’ve lost a lot because of it.

J I’m love this
I use to work for them and I hated not getting tips that's why I left and management is bad. Customers are the best management are the worst
they can't take tips but I always slide employees cash . makes me feel goos
Wait till these worker’s corporate overlords at Publix see this. Knowing that rotten company they would fire them.
So much hate.
