YES! FINALLY someone acknowledged that RDJ was in "Back to School!" I never see any interviews that talk about his early "comedic" days. He was a classic.
They invited New York Wisconsin alumni to the premier of the film since it was shot on the Wisconsin campus. Great fun. So many of us requested tickets many got shunted off to another theater so we didn't see the stars at the location I was at.
@@romanumeralz really? They were in Back to School together? Man I wish there waa a clip of that in this video to show us that they were in that movie together.
From Back To School: Walking into the boardroom to the sight of his staff stuffing their faces with breakfast on his dime: "Hey, try not to get any on the walls!"
I waw a clip of Back to School, recently. RDJ was in it; and, I thought, WTF? That's RDJ! and - OMG - the 1980's clothing, yikes! I'm not sure which is worse -- the 1970's disco era or the 80's. (I'm old enough to have sported both!) Cool story, RDJ. Loved it!
The main problem that everyone has with RDJ now is that they don't get to see him do stuff that's so out of the box. His filmography in the initial years is so unique and diverse that no other star has had a beginning like him (plus the dope, of course). Everyone's tired of seeing him as Tony Stark, he's done that to death and if I were to plead with him on the whole world's behalf, I would ask him to get back to doing fun stuff. Call PTA first thing in the morning!
My favorite thing to do when Back to School is playing and "Derek" is in one of his anti-capitalist rants in his punk makeup and androgynous hair is to tell everyone..."HEY! THAT'S IRON MAN!!!"
Geez, you'd think someone would either: a) tell Howard to stop blocking his face with the mic & stand, or b) switch the angle of his headshot. Fucking Bababooey. Do your job, Gary
Rodney died during surgery on his heart. Howard called him in the hospital and asked him how he was. Than he asked him if he believed in God. Rodney said I don't think so. He was dead a few days later. Does anyone else remember that show?
Just the privilege of growing up in the Hollywood scene .it isn't so easy for most like rd jr has had it. Dangerfield toured for decades in shit hole clubs before he got attention.
Rodney is NOT even in the interview and he's still making me laugh!
Back to School had the best one liner ever... “Call me when you have no class” only Rodney could pull that off so perfectly.
"What's a bath without bubbles, Bubbles get over here!" Was also a classic. LEGEND
One of my favorites
That was a good impression. Dangerfield is one of the best comedians of all time. RIP.
YES! FINALLY someone acknowledged that RDJ was in "Back to School!" I never see any interviews that talk about his early "comedic" days. He was a classic.
what are you talking about they always talk about him being in that but they Never talk about his (1983) classic Easy Money
Weird Science too!
That eye twitch/wink during his impression 👏👏👏
Back to School is an underrated classic.
“What’s a bath without bubbles. Bubbles get over here. ”
What a great impression!! RIP Rodney
Rodney was a frickin' GENIUS!!!!!!
Back To School is one of my favorite movies of all time. “Why don’t you call me when you have no class?”
How about "Diane...say hello to my nieces"!!
They invited New York Wisconsin alumni to the premier of the film since it was shot on the Wisconsin campus. Great fun. So many of us requested tickets many got shunted off to another theater so we didn't see the stars at the location I was at.
'You like poetry. Maybe you can help me straighten out my Longfellow'.
I love Back To School. I remember Robert from that film, it's so funny comparing him then to now.
Agree. But wasn't the movie a crypto-fascist metaphor for nuclear war? :-)
I'm having an 80s flashback...Downey was also in Weird Science, among other great 80s movies.
@@eosjoe565
Yeah! That guy IS IRON MAN...!
@@kamuelalee And Less than Zero.
Forgot he was in that movie! Loved RDJ in the 80's too!
"Balls, Yeah." - Tony Stark
"Oooh, my balls!"
What a great story. Loved that movie as well as Rodney and RDJ!
the euphemisms are through the roof
Rodney should of had his doctor, you know DR Vinnie Boombatz, look at that ankle for him.
Every time I hear "Dead Man's Party," I think of this movie haha
Oingo Boingo. 😎
The great Rodney Dangerfield! RIP
'When we were shooting in the 80s everything was awesome'
RDJ and Rodney were also both in Natural Born Killers even though they didn't share any scenes in the movie.
Back to School, as well.
@@romanumeralz really? They were in Back to School together? Man I wish there waa a clip of that in this video to show us that they were in that movie together.
Both fkn fantastic in it too
@@TotalTuxedo lmao
The whole cast & director of NBK were in the despair of various addictions...
From Back To School: Walking into the boardroom to the sight of his staff stuffing their faces with breakfast on his dime: "Hey, try not to get any on the walls!"
"Oooh my ankle." Lmao!
Young rdj could have been a brilliant Robert Smith in a biopic
Yup, he had the same look in Weird Science. Always makes me think of The Cure.
God I love these two.
I loved that movie
Love Rodney, legend
DANGERFIELD IS A LEGEND
2:06 Downey seems to be confirm the rumors, saying a lot by saying nothing.
Loved it!
What's your favorite subject? Poetry well maybe you can help me straighten out my long fellow hahaha
Watched this for the first time last night. Laughed my ass off. Found this movie at a gas station for $3
“Balls yea” 😂
EASY MONEY, greatest comedy of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wish they show the intire interview
Rodney was channeling his Caddyshack days
Funny, unexpected impression.
Scott J. Parisi how could it be unexpected when it’s referenced right in the video title?? lol
Maybe you can straighten out my Longfellow
I loved bk to school.
I’m going to use the ankle bit to ditch work tomorrow.
"I tell ya i get no respect, no respect at all!"
I love you 3000
"Scratched my anchahh"
full hour clip?
Tony Stark does a great job of doing an impression of Charlie Chaplin
Love this fucking guy
What happened to the set?
Keep the content coming. Been loving cali
Question: who was the first celebrity to have a web page? Answer: Rodney Dangerfield.
Thanks Dwight
Thanks Cliff
Are u kidding, theres the Jackie the Jokeman website.
Thanks, Chet.
Rodney. Legend
Tony Stark is great at impersonations.
Oh yea he was in back to school
RIP Rodney
Good memory. Robert Downey Jr. must have been freebasing Ginkgo biloba back in the day.
What's he saying at 2:07 "He seemed to have had plenty of dehhh, besides shehh"? What does that mean?
"He seemed to have plenty to do, besides shoot."
I thought he said dick
He seemed to have plenty to do besides shoot

Swaroop Kodur you don’t speak for everyone. He made Marvel the juggernaut it is today. He can’t literally do anything he wants now.
Yes! Finally, a voice of reason. Give me another Chaplin caliber performance. You've had your fun, Rob.
Lol!!! I've faked sick a time or 2 myself! Winks!
Kinda got a Clooney look there
Dopest t shirt ever
Robert Downey Jr is still one of the best actors in my lifetime. Rodney nobody came close to you and your missed greatly
Rdj was a straight dope fien for a while glad he's good now
Rodney is untouchable, but imagine a biopic w/ RDJ portraying him. 🤔
What did he have to do besides shooting a movie? Why get some respect of course!
My favorite thing to do when Back to School is playing and "Derek" is in one of his anti-capitalist rants in his punk makeup and androgynous hair is to tell everyone..."HEY! THAT'S IRON MAN!!!"
Now it makes sense why Rodney never got any respect, he faked an ankle injury.
That is uncanny.
what does he mean "an active fella"?what was he doin
wink wink
Drinkin' and fuckin'
Play golf, screw broads, smoke pot ... not necessarily in that order
Look at Robert’s shoes. Definitely has 3” or 4” lifts in his shoes.
Thats was a decent impression not gonna lie
Looks like Deniro on thumbs
Who would play Rodney, if they did a biopic?
Geez, you'd think someone would either:
a) tell Howard to stop blocking his face with the mic & stand, or
b) switch the angle of his headshot.
Fucking Bababooey. Do your job, Gary
Funny stuff wink wink lol, no respect, please take my wife lol

yes
I dont get no respect no respect
I wonder what he was doing when he wasn't on set lol
Sounds more like Ronny Dangerfield.
Neat
Is Howard in Los Angeles now? Or is that just a background they use
Jonathan P. Both
It's a fake background

Sure, he got attention. But, no respect.
