I guess all the sociopaths that invested in Theranos saw she was one of them and trusted her.
Which goes against all we currently know about sociopaths: They can spot other predators from a mile away, and are not easily manipulated. These people clearly inherited that wealth. The real sociopaths were their rich grandfathers ,who are now rolling in their graves witnessing their offspring's gullibility.

It’s the Hollywood effect.

I think as well this is what happens when white people are overlooked during these criminal acts cause this idea had to get some steam and some chance to lift off , and all had to be in. This is real American problem and she should be put away for life as a lesson to many. This also shows how the medical system isn’t good in America in regards to checks and balances. Many things don’t work but can we solely rely on the fda ? Like where was the fda or the government in checking this scheme of a medical equipment things she said she created
Let’s see if a young white women can really go to jail for a long time !
@8:48 the database disappears! Does anyone remember, "On the Waterfront"? When the financial records of 5 Longshormen Local Union offices were burglerized in one night??? Nothing was taken, except the financial records. The DA was powerless. I hope we are not still in this situation.

I feel like Jennifer Lawrence would be a better choice to play her in a movie, she already has the voice.
Yes!!
Did it occur to you that she also alters her voice a little? :)
Jennifer Lawrence is playing her in Adam McKay's adaptation of Bad Blood
If she managed to get out of all the charges, then from tomorrow on, I start my own fraud and reference Elizabeth in my court hearing
She has a Romy and Michele's High School Reunion voice!
Atleast she invented post-it notes. This woman is just a fraud 🤣

To the "infinity and beyond", this fraudster reminds me of the "Toy Story". I have to give her credit for being able to suck in "powerful politicians whom I thought are intelligent enough to question using their insight but..." backing her portfolio up drawing in a lot of well-known investors' money.
Feel sick for her though and not Mark. Because I believe she is really sick and now she will be punished a scapegoat for all the men doing the same thing everywhere but with a ferocity and insanity and slow drip of torture that no man ensures.
The way she lies so effortlessly is incredible?
I have a speculation: she will not see the inside of a jail for even a minute. Let's see if my understanding of "justice system" is correct.
I highly doubt she goes for free after ripping off 100 million dollars each from powerful people. She will definitely go to jail.
females dont get sentenced unless there is nothing a judge can do to avoid it. rapists, murderers, all known to avoid jail if female. A black man is 2100% more likely to receive a jail sentence in the USA compared to a white woman for the same crime.

@@tomwright9904 agreed about the people that were tested. However not all people that invested were the business elite. I'm sure some were individuals that wanted a decent nest-egg for a comfortable future.
The ultimate irony is that they propped up this woman without knowing ANYTHING about her product's efficacy just because they wanted to be able to tell a narrative about a young woman becoming some kind of global innovator.
