When i was a kid. I got the red screen on the ps2 at 2 am (i was 5 years old) i screamed so loud that make woke up my parents. *Only god knows how that was hard in my childhood*

I tried playing Ty recently and after 6 years I though I wouldn't be scared of that screen anymore
That scared me as a child.
I used only pirated discs,but My ps2 was chipped.
It came up because of the severe scratches on the disc

Yea the "SCE" appearing and fading in an instant, along with whether or not the intro took too little/long to load up always have some suspense. Then, soon as you saw "PS2" and heard the *_"w o o m p"_* , you knew you were in business.

@HEREBESHITPOSTS It always had an eerie tune, but it’s still my favorite after all these years. I miss that eerie noise everytime I turned that thing on at night back in the 90’s lol. I guess that’s why I’m currently searching for one. I’m on Xbox now, since I haven’t owned a PS since PS3.

Pure nostalgia, this is man. No one can ever compare the feelings you get from hearing that PS1 Intro, and remembering your childhood, and the good times. Still glad I still have and play on my PS1, and PS2 till this day. Nothing will ever be like this, how I wish I could go back to the good old days.

Although I did start on the ps1, I always liked 2's better although hearing both brings back so many great memories :D
I started with a 2. The original came out before I was born, but I adored some of the games on the system. Croc: Legend of the Gobos, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, ans MediEvil are my favorites. The PS1 startup sound gives me chills sometimes, a classic and the start to an amazing console line.
