Tim, Thanks for the great tips on engraving with Mach3. Question - If I am engraving multiple items one at a time, using the same text (pull one off the table, put another one on in the same place), how do I restart the process without shutting down Mach3 each time? Do you know any well written books for Mach3 beginners? Thanks.
Hector Otani if you want more fonts, you can go to an open source software called Inkscape, the have plugins to generate g code with. If you want to engrave on a sphere you will need different software, something with 3D capability ( such as vetric software)
It can cut in reverse, and if you want multiples you will have to write a program for that. You can have multiple offsets( g54 , g55 , g56 etc) then copy and paste the program, but give it a corresponding offset each iteration. Good luck
John Carey if I were you I would use a software called Fusion 360 , if you are using it as a hobbyist you can use the software for free, not only can you draw in 3D, you can also generate your gcode right inside the software. Fudion 360 has the ability to mirror, make multiple iterations of a part, and so much more. It’s a larger learning curve, but well worth the effort

Will it Reverse engrave, If so, can it do multiples as in a fixture? Thanks!

Thanks! What I'm saying is will it reverse engrave for molds? So the molded part will be correct. What's involved?
