If it helps anyone, the original spark plugs are NGK PLFR5A-11 platinum. If you want the best/longest lasting, Denso IKH16TT double iridium are widely recommended. Hope that helps viewers, and thank you for the video.
Nah. You don't. It's a bigger job than a Corolla for sure, but you don't need to remove the engine, I would suggest that if you do this job, you buy the highest quality spark plugs possible - so you won't have to do this again for a long time.
out of all the cars ive worked on over th years. his elgrand was by far he biggest $%^&*( to work on. i was using 1/2 inch socket set. so i had even more clearance issues. i guess its time to invest in 3/8s etc. Thanks for the video, i appreciate it. and yes i found #5 the hardest to get. not the plug but the bolt at the back.
Yeah, I have heard of stories where it took 8 hours to change the plugs. Just crazy AF. That's why if you do change them, put the longest life plugs you can buy in there. Cost more, but more cost effective in the long run.
Absolute legend!
Thanks heaps mate!
I was ready to teach the car how much I can swear in under a minute 😅

Given the difficulty of removing these plugs, best choose the longest lasting.

This is a great video thanks Tom, do you have any more great Elgrand tips?
Not sure, but if you have any questions, would be happy to answer if I can.
Thanks a lot! They told me I had to remove my entire engine to check properly.

You skip a ton of very difficult steps. Like getting to the back bolt on the coil pack. Not easy at all.
Not hard aye u rekon
