This footage was released by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 59th Brigade and shows an armoured Russian tank going up in smoke.
This footage has not yet been verified by The Sun and the location of these attacks is also unconfirmed.

High explosives are pretty stable. It's possible a small grenade like what those FPV drones carry can't properly detonate them.

This is done to prevent recovery of the tank. Usually the tank hits a mine or gets hit by a drone and becomes immobilized then the crew leaves, and then another drone finishes the tank off.

ukraine's MO has been destroying rus abandons before they can come back for recovery. Been working perfectly, forcing them to field new armor instead of repairing.
It was damaged, but recoverable. Now it's not. It's a common practice to destroy damaged vehicles so enemy couldn't repair it. And using rather cheap drone to completely destroy million bucks worth of hardware is a very good exchange.

The last update on the oryx blog shows 1025 T-72 tanks of all variants visually confirm taken out of the russian battle order, so the question is how many are left? at this point i suspect that there are less left than what has been lost unless they can take out those 10.000+ tanks they claim they have in storage

5000, too degraded for repair, maybe some small parts could be reused..
From those 5000 "operational", 2000 running, 1000 for reserve, 1000 need repairs (lots of money and parts they cant make anymore), the other 2000 left could be a mix of all of the above..
Thats why they are scraping the bottom of the barrel and those t-54 will be target practice for ukraine army..
@@kenpatterson2948 Satellite photos show about 800 tanks have already been taken out of storage but the satellite did not have high enough res to tell which ones was taken out of storage it could be all those T-54/T-55/T-62´s that are showing up now
