Yes and no. If the Teragon map contains Teragon pois then it won't work for another player unless they have those pois. There aren't many and it's easy to share them. Saying that the map may still work just without the bridges.
It is potentially the auto update featue that is included in the software that is trying to access the internet. Windows firewall is just doing its job. The default map spawn point must have terrain placed over the top. You can change the values in the spawn.xml file using notepad. Try swapping the first number to a negative version. Quit the game first and save the changes.
Is there any way to generate a rectangular (i.e.: non-square) word, or is that something TFP hard wired into the game? Edit: Also, what do you mean by "large seed number" in regards to wilderness spawns, 4 digits? 7 digits? 64-bit integer cap?
Not that I know of using Teragon. But you can edit your map with a photo editor after it has been generated. The world file will always be square but the actual map can be any shape. Is that what you were thinking?
Yeah unfortunately the settings I shared don't seem to work for everyone, which is unusual if they are copied exactly. I did add a note about changing the 'min town distance' which has helped in some cases. Increasing the max city size, adjusting altitude deviation for towns, these are some other options but there isn't a quick easy option just yet. Sorry about this. You can try changing the 'game version' manually in the basic menu to say "Alpha.21.0.317". If that doesn't work try copying a 'main.ttw' file from an a21 vanilla rwg map over the top of the one Teragon creates to fool the game into thinking it's an a21 map. Yes, where you specify the types and heights if biomes you can remove ones you don't want. Be careful that the game may produce an error in the starter quests if you don't have a trader in a forest biome. That may have changed during a21 update though.
I also should mention I've got a load of other videos on my page about editing maps and cover how to paint biomes by hand. It's very easy and I walk you through step by step.

Not just yet but it will eventually. Pille has said Mod support is on the to do list. The software is still at the learning-to-walk stage. And I think it's doing a fine job.
bugger, steps explained here don't work for me- i make changes, expert settings page - create noise biome map and i get same map gen every time with zero% wasteland everytime
Make sure you have enabled the biome type you want and disabled the one you don't want. If you have them both enabled; the second version will over write the first one.
Only seems to apply to alpha 21. Because no matter how I try I only get a single biome map with very little amounts of small towns (4k and 8k maps, or even no towns when I set minimum town size to 15). Quilt biomes, environmental biomes - doesn't matter, result is a single biome across the map, athough not entirely, the environmental gives the snowy mountains, which is expected but overall it's a single biome either wasteland, forest or desert - your coverage of these settings is very shallow, please do a more detailed review. And it would be nice to have a specific alpha 20 tutorial because the best modpack is still on alpha 20. Please understand I am not just being negative just for the sake of it, I don't mean to complain, but man, this tutorial is definitely not enough. I wathced all 5 parts.
Things have changed quite a bit since doing this series over a year ago. Limited biomes may be because you have the height based biomes feature enabled which requires a lot of variation in height on the map. Alternatively you may have too few biomes activated, or they could all be colliding in height with each other. The next one overwriting the previous etc. There's no chance of any a20 coverage I'm afraid. A22 ( or 7dtd v1.0) will be available in around a month (in experimental). Teragon is such an extensive piece of software, even more so since this video, I just selected some common things to get users started. Anything more detailed would be way out of my extremely poor UA-cam adverts pay grade haha! I hope there has been at least a little something useful in the series for you. Visit the Teragon Discord for way more info and to get help with all sorts of things that I haven't covered. I wish you happy map making Clout.

you can,but you would need to have atleast 32gb ram memory installed to just spawn in a 16k by 16k random gen world..i've done 10k & 12k maps in the past on nitrogen & king-gen & the ram spikes to roughly 12 to 18gb when i first spawn in day 1..also very importaqnt make sure you have a decent pc as the game will either use you're cpu or gpu memory when you get close to big towns/citys 👍
Cant we make only one biome?
Yes, where you specify the types and heights if biomes you can remove ones you don't want. Be careful that the game may produce an error in the starter quests if you don't have a trader in a forest biome. That may have changed during a21 update though.
I also should mention I've got a load of other videos on my page about editing maps and cover how to paint biomes by hand. It's very easy and I walk you through step by step.
So, uhm, any way to use that under Linux? Just asking for a friend...
Let your friend know I'm really sorry I have no idea. Can Linux run windows software? Not my area at all.
@@TallmanBradGameplay Yeah, I tried through Proton (With Steam) but it doesn't work..... I mean, my friend tried... Anyways, I would have to try it manually with Wine but Wine is much more complicated, for me at least.
@@TallmanBradGameplay Never mind... I found a way. Thanks anyway for the replies!
@@SebSenseGreen that's great you got it working. Can you tell me how in case anyone else asks? If it's simple enough?
@@TallmanBradGameplay Hehe, you'll probably laugh, I double clicked on the executable, which are associated with Wine by default, and Wine asked what I wanted to do with it. So I clicked "Execute" and it created a prefix on its own and downloaded some libraries and then the program opened just like that. I'm currently creating a map with it to see if there isn't any bugs or crashes... It has been going on for ~20 min without a hitch so far.
compatible with A21 ?
I haven't had a chance to try it yet. If not I'm sure it will be eventually.
Does it work with undead legacy?
Not just yet but it will eventually. Pille has said Mod support is on the to do list. The software is still at the learning-to-walk stage. And I think it's doing a fine job.
@@TallmanBradGameplay Yes it already looks great, looking forward to seeing it grow!
do you have a peticular set of skills that have been honed over many years? seriously he sounds just like liam neison. would be hilarious if it was.
Sadly I'm not him. Haha yeah it would be funny though.
bugger, steps explained here don't work for me- i make changes, expert settings page - create noise biome map and i get same map gen every time with zero% wasteland everytime
@@TallmanBradGameplay I used the quilt biomes or rather the "noise" ones, I don't remember the exact name and disabled the environmental biomes entirely. But thank you, that is understandable.
There were some options for the scale of the quilt sections. Have you had a play with those? There were quite a few options for the shape of the quilt too. There'll be a solution for you somewhere. I'm sorry I'm not being much help here @@cloutruler
@@TallmanBradGameplay there are but the names are so cryptic 😬
I am looking at your other videos, maybe I should explore other options for alpha 20 like kinggen or something.
If you're happy aticking with a20 then kingen is a great option. You might have a hard time finding a cipy but if you do find one i have a few videos on using it.
MapToolz is great too
@cloutruler
I want to buy you “coffee”, but Alipay and WeChat are not supported. Sorry. 🥲
There's a PayPal option but no pressure. I appreciate you letting me know.
