regarding the 5ku pt-1 stock gap issue, the stock comes with said spacer which is also part of the release mechanism. bit of a pain in install but that is the intended way, you can check Zenitco's installation guide for more specifics. also with the gas tube cover, you should just be able to give it a squeeze and turn it upside down, should come off the gas tube if its anything like a GHK or any other airsoft AK i have used. other than that i actually cant wait to grab my own VFC AK, great video!
Hi there, my comment about the WE and GHK being the first gbbr AKs was based on a few things, but mainly on the global scale, western arms, and inokatsu are mainly found in Asia, importers here do not carry them due to the expensive cost overall. Even now, in 2024, there is not really anyone importing for sale in the UK. The last company I saw with inokatsu listed was firesupport, but they have been without stock for a long time. On the other hand, WE is everywhere and a cheaper and more accessible brand for the average person to get a hold of, and GHK is the more expensive option. The only downside is the QC of both. It's not really good at the moment, leaving only Tokyo Marui and now VFC the most viable options. I'm hoping the Well Pro pp19 and there AK 12 gbbrs coming soon based on the marui system will be another option. The more company's making gbbr AKs the better for the consumer in the end. Hope that helps.
Hi there, thanks for the kind words. As soon as it is out for everyone, I will definitely be getting hold of one. From what I hear, it's a clone of the tm Ak system, so it should be cool fingers crossed.
Hi there, so far, the ppk20 gbbr is not available here in the UK yet, I am interested in both to be fair, and whichever becomes available first here, i will pick up.
Hi there, thanks for the suggestion 😊 if your looking for an npas, then I recommend the vfc gbbr cnc npas from Clutch Precision. If you want the easier way, then a shorter inner barrel would work, too.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk thank you very much, in will google that, and looks for a tutorial to see how it works for that model. (Max is 1.2J on 0.30gram bb, for full auto capable RIFs) If anyone knows, does it still cycle properly on (say approx) 1-1.2J ? Very much appreciated!
Hi there, yes, at some point. At the moa 2024 show, vfc showed off handguards, stocks, grips, etc.. for early next year. Third-party manufacturers are working on short barrel conversion kits.
Hi there, as stated in the video to engage dry fire mode you first push down on the bb follower to lift up the silver knocker piece, second while the knocker piece is up slide the switch forward towards the bb follower and it will lock the knocker piece up alowing for dry fire. To reset, just slide the switch back and return to normal function. Hope that helps you.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Oh, thank you for the info I was looking for. I tried it yesterday and it didn't work. Thanks for the explanation. I'll try again later. Thanks. If you have any good info on this gun, please let me know. Thanks. 👍
Hi there, the vfc is really reliable so far with over 5k rounds down range, and with vfc making new handguards and stocks in the new year, it's really good.
Hi there, for sure the tm akx is very reliable, my only issue with the x was the over engineering for the fiercontrol group and it was very front heavy. As for the tm akm, the plastic furniture that simulated wood is a little rough, but that can be fixed now with the aftermarket support. The vfc Ak74 gbbr is really good. The recoil is very intense, and the gas efficiency is fantastic.
@MiddleAgeGameruk I'm with you on the weight of the akx, sometimes I find it too much depending on how much running around I've been doing. Looking into the vfc possibly next year it looks awesome 👌
Hi there, sorry to hear you can't get hold of one. I will say its not the QC that's holding them up internationally it's more that customs are holding them.
@@jeanyves6461 there has been several people I know that have had there VFC AK's held at customs and either destroyed or returned to the country of origin which is very sad.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk yes, it's very sad... however, a seller explained to me that the Taiwan-based company had issues with the quality of the AK/GHK The barrel would not be aligned with the rest!... To see how this will evolve
@gravargen943 nowhere close to 70% , as an importer and owner of many we had the odd one with a small issue but no bent receivers etc just small details like broken mag latches etc
Hi there, it is a shame, but I do understand why. With the heavy steel bolt, they reduced it for efficiency reasons. The longer the travel, the more gas required to cycle it. They even include the spacer to shorten it slightly more so you can run it in cold weather. In the end, it is all about compromise.
None of the gbb aks have full travel they all have a protrusion on the back of the bolt to extend the nozzle giving it the volume needed to cycle they also have a recoil buffer so the bolt doesn’t hammer the back of the receiver while firing

How you say…solid video brother!
Great video
Weren't there Western Arms and Inokatsu before WE and GHK? Pretty sure there were.
I think Andy was talk exclusively about gbbr Ak systems

@ the PPK20 has been for sale for some months now in the EU, no clue about UK tho

Is this a 50m shot? It looks like a 5m shot. 12:21
Hi there, maybe the audio was not clear, but I did say 15m for the grouping test.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Oh, I see. I'm Korean, so I misunderstood the English subtitles. Thank you for your reply.
Any plans for this ak specific (npas?) guide? Gas RIF noob, i know it can set lower pressure but HOW, if i get this one, i have no clue

@@MiddleAgeGameruk fitting the npas is actually easier and more reliable than fitting a new barrel

Does anyone know when these will restock? Not a single one in stock anywhere...
Hi there, they have already made 2x batches so I would assume it will be in the new year now.
Do you reckon they’ll bring as “S” (short) version out ?

Sounds so lackluster compared to the AKM 😅
AV74M ahem !!
Hi there, yes, shock horror, vfc calls it the AV74M due to legal licence issues.
Ghk v2 didn't have a high failure rate on release. Only 10 years later did they start having a lot of issues due to a new receiver oem
Sadly, they have had significant failure rates from the get-go. LCT parting ways just added another issue to the pile.

Also the gas piston is stainless not aluminium
To get the top handguard off you don't destroy the end cap , you just rotate it just like any other ak top handguard
Too bad the bolt does not travel as far back as the real AK…
